Well, they showed all the good parts of the OVA in Genshiken, so there wasn't much new to see here. It's also never going to actually be concluded, so no happy ending there.

It was a fun 3 episodes to watch for a bit of Genshiken nostalgia, but if I hadn't seen Genshiken I'd have never watched this.

Since I'm on a cuteness kick I guess I'll watch a couple more episodes of Acchi Kocchi and then move on over to Highschool DxD.

I don't know, I can only speak for the shows I'm watching this season. I watched 8 shows this season, and a bunch of older OVAs and movies, and this was way worse than all of them. Even Unlimited Blade Works was better than this, and that was pretty bad. This is the worst experience I've had this entire season!

Chaos;Head is pretty high on the list of worst anime that I've ever watched to completion.

The single worst thing of any length that I've ever watched to completion has to either be Abashiri Ikka or Delinquent in Drag, though. Go Nagai knows how to push my buttons in the worst possible way.

This journey though Fujiko's past wasn't engaging at all, just downright silly. From

The factor of "creepy" is very over done, as if it wasn't already. Seeing her want to tear her hair out and shoot all over the place doesn't make me feel for the child in a woman's body. It makes me wish that this series focused on something other than a back story of this tone because to be frank, it is not pulled off well. They at least had some action in this episode, but the overbearing character and dull plot still remain to water down the glimpses enjoyment to be had by Lupin.

Fujiko 13 - END

Bad. Really bad. It's kinda hilarious how this series basically completely fell apart and collapsed into a pile of shit from ep8 onwards. Before that it was mostly just boring, but in the second half the series really managed to somehow turn into an actively bad and offensive series by wallowing in self-important imagery and stupid plot developments. Every single aspect of the serious plot and all the revelations are terrible.

The last episode is like watching someone play a crappy JRPG and get to the final boss room where the villain spends 15 minutes of exposition on explaining all the plot twists and tying everything in the entire series together, explaining every reference and every piece of imagery. Not only is it childishly written, worse of all it isn't even entertaining or engaging. It's just dumb, contrived, and nonsensical.

This is terrible series and I will rather watch a 2 hour special on Ancient Aliens than ever think about this piece of trash again. The worst show this season by a country mile.

I'm not one to drop shows, so I'll see how terrible this trainwreck is for myself soon enough.

when the limiters were released and he shot laser from his eyes and other beam blasts, my mind was blown, and Peterhausen...nice!

. The final episode did not fail to deliver. So glad that I finally tackled this on my backlog.

7 / 10, the major problem of the series was all the random and at the end pointless stuff of just the I guess gather as many girls as possible for fanservice scenes that the main character just ignores. They also contributed nothing at all to the action, so it was just wasted potential and time to even have these characters. (probably nsfw?) Sea cucumbers and tentacles scenes, I mean...really. But Akuto Sai and Hiroshi Miwa were cool. Enjoyable...with reservations.

Fight was alright, but I do like they made it pretty clear Musca isn't qualified to be a silver saint. Could be the same for a lot of the ones under Mars rule. Kind of makes it easier to swallow a bunch of new bronze saints beating them.

Now that I've gone through a number of these episodes, I'm getting to a point where some are just better than others even if they are sub-par on their own. This "rich girl" meets "bad girl" story is one of them.

Lupin III (1971) 23 FIN

Very hit or miss episode with an annoying segment between Zenigata and his boss. Lupin summoning his gang was a bit out there too. The heist itself was pretty good but I was more sympathetic towards Zenigata who actually showed some great initiative this episode. Lupin made an uncharacteristically stupid mistake that's just plain stupid that led to this amazing standoff between his gang and the police before turning stupid again. Really visually inconsistent at that which took me out of it.

Series overall was pretty good though. The earlier Osumi stuff takes a bit to click but once it does, there's some magic as in episodes 4 and 9. Miyazaki/Takahata stuff is really hit or miss but the high points of episodes 14 and 17 and ending sequence of 11 are really special. It's a shame episodes like 16 and 22 mar their work, and unfortunately, the series as a whole.

My heart cannot take this. Yayoi is the greatest moe.

Great episode and she's easily the best girl. I really like the nuanced humor in this show, making art snobbery the villain in this episode was hilarious. And Yayoi definitely did have the best poster although that was pretty obvious.

Hopefully I get more Yayoi fix. Much, much more.

Yuri Seijin Naoko-san

This OVA is lewd and unsafe for work, pretend there is a NSFW gif to go along with this post. It's very strange, and quite funny at times. I particularly enjoyed the sexy TV Tokyo song and the latter half of the OVA at the friends house.

The 6 minute OVA is also pretty neat, I think that has better pacing for the jokes.

I couldn't get into the full OVA. The short one was grand though. I think I liked it better for the same reason I really like Poyopoyo. The whole "less is more" approach works well and keeps a show from overstaying its welcome.

That anime was way over the top with the boobs lol. I never actually finished watching it, but I remember when they were holed up in the house. That was some sexual tension if I've ever seen it.

Sadly there's one major instance in which this is far from the case

It's generally true, though. Cure Lemonade and Cure Sunshine have the best transformation sequences in the entire franchise, and while all of the transformations in Smile are pretty dull, the eyes of the animators are pretty blatantly always on Yayoi in other respects. More great reaction faces than the other four characters combined, vastly more moe pander, and she gets the best character focus episodes, one of which got an insane animation budget, some of the best art and direction in the entire Precure franchise, and was loaded down with weapons-grade :firehawk.

So yeah, enjoy the pikapikapikarin.

Only thing notable about the anime was an unfortunately relevant joke made during the tsunami.

It's also a much better economics textbook than Spice and Wolf. Though it's a shame that the anime isn't using the manga's art style but is using the LN art style instead.
