Aww that's OK. DtB is more a mix of things, and I would say it picks up later, but it's paced more moderately; I really liked the grittiness of Black Lagoon; TTGL requires some cheese tolerance to like if you aren't into it right away.

With Black Lagoon, have you seen the OVA series for it called Roberta's Blood Trail?

It's really good.

I like...parts of Blood Trail, but I can't really approve of the whole thing. I do like the ending though.

Also I totally just realized that Gainax wasn't the main driving force behind the Eva movies and it was Anno's own start up company, that makes the movies seem all the more impressive to me.

Well, animation studio's are kind of composed of their talent, so when your major talent departs the studio it's going to have some serious consequences.

I don't understand the Medaka Box antihype. While most of the old Gainax guard did leave. MB is headed up by the duo who did the Wish Upon the Pleiades short a while back, which was fantastic. The source material is a joy to read and the voice talent has done some great work before.

I certainly don't hate Nisio isin, and I like the monogatari series, but Medaka is complete shit and he should feel bad for writing it.
