Mysterious Girlfriend X

Ok. WOW. Like seriously. WOW.
This is extremely unique. Its almost disturbing in some ways but also kind of adorable. but simultaneously really disgusting. And yet I want to see more.

Secondly Urabe is CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE KYUUUUUUUUUUUUTO.
She easily qualifies for nuclear weapons grade moe.

The drool thing is fucked up, but interesting. The music and aged artwork in this show really gives it a unique and bizarre feel. There is something really peculiar about this girl and I honestly hope this show gets even more bizarre because it could turn out to be pretty special.

I love this a LOT.

What are your thoughts on the OP/ED and the sound track in general?

The OP, Flow - Days has been in my car for years. I listen to that song all the time.
The ED is really peaceful and beautiful.

The soundtrack overall is atmospheric and energetic on occasion when warranted. It works really well.
It definitely sets off an already good show even higher.

Why does Crunchyroll keep deviating from their predicted schedule for announcements? Then again, none of you care about Medaka Box anyway, so I guess it doesn't make a difference.

I suspect they're still signing agreements up to the last minute. The Medaka Box territories are some of the most restricted amongst all of the licenses they've got so far - just North America and Australasia - and I doubt that was an ideal situation for them. It would obviously be in their best interests to announce before the shows start airing. They also have the situation that if there's any delay then their shows get fansubbed and they lose business even more than they do through HorribleSubs.

Nah. Acchi Kocchi, Natsu-iro Kiseki and Ginga e Kickoff! haven't been licensed.

Man, what a scam Heroman was. That PV actually had a lot of really nice looking animation too. :(

Oh man I kept expecting it to get better. It had flashes of being mediocre then it would crash into shit. Like after a decent arc we would get the deserted island arc. It just floundered about. It had the same problem Star Driver did, it lacked ambition. Instead of expanding the scope, it felt relatively contained. I was expecting a space arc and yet nothing.

Atleast I wrote an essay about its portrayal of American stereotypes and how it somewhat subverts that while still falling into certain traps.

Yeah, I guess that's true. I wonder though, does that mean they're starting to encounter more initial resistance for simulcasting agreements?

Oh my, wasn't that just an amazing episode. Everything went super fast but at the same time it was still amusing. I was disappointed that girl in red didn't do more besides being foreshadow-y but still that was a stellar episode.
Even though it took me back that the MC was in high school since he doesn't look any older than middle school, I like that he has assertiveness in fighting back against Nyaruko-san, something you usually don't see in anime these days.

Heroman totally lost me when BONES couldn't even be bothered to put mecha animators into animating the planes and tanks properly. They were either CG or just cheap poorly detailed stuff copied and pasted. Really disappointed. :(

The Light of El Cantare
I didn't say it was good. It's just very unique. :p

I watched all of it, don't regret it one bit.

It's too late to backtrack, I'm probably watching it now! Just be ready for me to never forgive you.

Eureka Seven OPs are pretty good. Then again I'm partial to FLOW and J-Pop in general. The only one that raised my eyebrows is the 4th OP but that's because it's a somewhat butchered 'Amazing Grace'.

In my younger days I thought that the Amazing Grace snippet in the 4th OP really added to the endgame/shit getting massively real feeling of the OP, but looking back it's probably not quite as fitting if you're just trying to listen to the song by itself.

I loooooooooove Nirgilis, though. Have they done any anime OPs/EDs other than E7 OP4 and the OP to Birdy Decode S2?

Not everyone is Ufotable. We'll see how AO handles all of this. Star Driver had some absolutely amazing mecha fightscenes
when they weren't reusing scenes
so hopefully they can live up to those.

Defining "everything" to exclude shows aimed at preschoolers/kindergarteners and such, yes, except for one or two. Decided to update the list from before:
Crunchyroll:
Ozma
Space Brothers
Folktales from Japan
Hiiro No Kakera
Kimi to Boku S2
Naruto SD: Rock Lee
Recorder and Randsell Re
Polar Bear Cafe
Sengoku Collection
Upotte!!
Kuroko's Basketball
Saki Achiga-hen
Nyarko-san
Kids on the Slope
Tsuritama
Dusk Maiden of Amnesia
Medaka Box
Mysterious Girlfriend X (one day delay)
Yurumates 3D (four days delay)
Saint Seiya Omega (four days delay)
Queen's Blade: Rebellion (nine days delay)
Phi Brain S2 (schedule unknown)

Viz/Hulu:
Zetman
Accel World

Funico (all schedules currently unknown):
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? Of the Dead
LUPIN the Third
Sankarea
Jormungand

Nico Nico Douga:
Fate/zero S2

Selected list of shows currently without announced English simulcasts:
Ginga e Kickoff
Acchi Kocchi
Natsuiro Kiseki
Cardfight!! Vanguard: Asia Circuit
Eureka Seven Ao
Hyouka
AKB0048
Man, since I forgot to save it, with search still not working properly it took a while to find, hence why BluWacky already answered the question, but for completeness I decided to display it again.

It's a little worrying there's no data yet for the Funico shows.

Amazing Grace definitely added to the 'shit is real' component. The lyrics of the song as well as the history of the song itself, such as it being a slave song, fit really well into the themes of the anime. It definitely was an inspired pick. The problem is that they needed someone English to really pull it off.

So far the only problem I have with E7AO so far is Naru's huge forehead. All the other character designs look great, I like the mecha designs, and I really enjoyed the beginning (based on the first three chapters of the mango). I will have a major problem with the
flashbacks with Eureka
.

cosmicblizzard, you look weird without your usual avatar.

Been like a year, so I thought it was time. Was going to wait for a certain character in Medaka Box to show up, but that's impossible now.

Master Keaton 21

And another heartwarming story that bypasses culture boundaries. If only it wasn't so boring.

Heartcatch Precure 24-25

Adding flight to the mix should definitely make things more epic. Hope the capes are actually utilized a bunch. The amount of variety in battle has been really underwhelming as of late and I really hope those help.

Also, Shiny Tambourine>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Dildo Tact.

Funimation is always late on their "simulcasts". No one seems to take simulcasting seriously but Crunchyroll.

I'm already mentally separating AO and E7. They are going to end up shitting all over Renton's character. I don't know how but it's going to happen. I initially hated the character designs but I've adjusted.

The two biggest problems I have with it is the current story setup and mecha movement method. It seems they're getting rid or reducing trapar waves as a medium of movement in the air. The aircars use trapar but the mecha designs are more traditional except for the Nirvash.

One song from Eureka Seven that I absolutely fell in love with is Niji by Denki Groove.
Especially This Version.
Such an amazing song. Absolutely fucking amazing. I can't wait to finally get to the part of the show featuring this song, just to hear what circumstance it is used in.

I found Star Driver really kinda lukewarm myself. I don't really think it had a lot of amazing mecha fights. There were some really good ones, and a bunch of okay ones, but it still fell short of the kind of standard I expect from BONES when it comes to mecha animation and direction. Ep1-3 were pretty good, then it kinda got lazy for a long time, there were maybe 2 good fights after that, before the amazing finale.

RurouniZel

Asks questions so Ezalc doesn't have to
Phi Brain S2 - 01:

Well, we're off to a fast start. The BBQ at the beginning was rather amusing as Nonoha tried to talk some sense to the crazies. But we have no time for that, there's a new villain in town and they have their sights on Kaito (oh no!). The Orpheus Order appears and vows that they will make it so each of his friends will betray him one by one. Interesting, let's see where they go with this.

I think this scene would have led few minds astray if that water was a different colour

Poor Naru, her heart gets toyed with so often.

Usagi's faces are always awesome

A redemption arc for Nephrite? I didn't see that coming.

Sailor Moon is such a progressive show~

What the fuck, that preview was spoilery as hell. CAJUN, DON'T WATCH THE NEXT-EPISODE PREVIEWS, THEY SPOIL EVERYTHING. FUCK. I'm pretty pissed now. :(

Usually the end of an arc had a great fight sequence. Episode 6 and 16 in particular was amazing. You're right in that many of the ones inbetween were pretty shit. The only two others that stand out are the ones where Takuto gets the jets and the final battle sequences.

Really hope they keep the synth theme in the new soundtrack.

They look great in motion in PV2. I just now noticed how fat many characters faces are up close. I do hope they dont screw up Renton's character though.
it would be god tier if adult Renton became like Charles

I will still be reading the mango version of AO as well just to see the differences. The mango version had some great things in it that the animu did not.
though as a whole it is not as good as the animu

I don't normally watch previews for this very reason.
Sometimes a show spoils shit at the very beginning too.
