They look great in motion in PV2. I just now noticed how fat many characters faces are up close. I do hope they dont screw up Renton's character though.
it would be god tier if adult Renton became like Charles

I will still be reading the mango version of AO as well just to see the differences. The mango version had some great things in it that the animu did not.
though as a whole it is not as good as the animu

The big indicator of how serious they are with the project, is how many episodes AO is. If they go for a 26(or dare I imagine a full 50) then I can forgive them for a slow start. It also means that they have a rather intricate story planned.
Or atleast they should

What the fuck, that preview was spoilery as hell. CAJUN, DON'T WATCH THE NEXT-EPISODE PREVIEWS, THEY SPOIL EVERYTHING. FUCK. I'm pretty pissed now. :(

Welcome to Toei, where they spoil shit out of you before the episode starts, they switch OP's too early and spoils even more shit, and then the after credits where they spoil you for the next episode, and repeat ad infinitum.

And that's not unique to Sailormoon either.

What happened to your initial faith, cosmic?!

Nice new avvie by the by.

My initial faith was based on the assumption we would get to at least the 2nd arc post-genre shift. I like the first one which the show is definitely getting to (because it's in the OP), but it's more an introduction than anything else that doesn't really give any indication of the greater things to come.

And thanks :D

What in fuck is that thing at the left of the picture? I'm..........extremely uncomfortable now.

I would much rather have BONES make a dragged out animu then a rushed one. Does anyone know the amount of episodes AO is getting? It is kind of weird that we don't know yet and its about to air in a few days.

We really don't find this stuff out for awhile even after a show airs unless it's obvious through things like a timeslot or DVD volumes going on sale.

I would really be surprised if it's 13 episodes though. They have gone to some lengths in regards to the production of the show such as finding relatively new VAs that seem to imply they are putting some effort in.

Usually the end of an arc had a great fight sequence. Episode 6 and 16 in particular was amazing. You're right in that many of the ones inbetween were pretty shit. The only two others that stand out are the ones where Takuto gets the jets and the final battle sequences.

Yeah, I think the fights which clearly had more attention from Muraki were the ones which obviously looked and flowed better. IIRC he also storyboarded the final episode himself right? If he can put a similar amount of effort into E7AO's action, it should already be much better than the last few BONES productions.

Really hope they keep the synth theme in the new soundtrack.

Unfortunately Kyoda says that for the new series he was a soundtrack which is more along the lines of modern rock, rather than techno synth.

What does effort have to do with how long the series is?

How come Fate Zero is much better than other series of the franchise? Different people created it or?

Well, yes. Plus there is really only one other series and Deen did it, so its not really fair.
I like the Deen one too, but most people really hate it. Shirou is a stupid piece of shit though. We can all agree on that.

Don't forget overlong titles that basically lay out the events of the entire episode.

AMI GETS AN A- ON A TEST? THE SAILOR SENSHI'S EMERGENCY STUDY SESSION!

Ah damn, I knew I was forgetting something.

I wanted to hurt them so bad when I was watching Heartcatch Precure especially in the last 10 or so episodes.

a Rock track? This could be ok or it could suck. but like that extremely atmospheric Niji track is the kind of stuff E7 was built on and it works so much better.
now I can kind of understand your frustration ducky, and I've only seen three episodes!
But still, Elena Peoples is going to be amazing.

I'll take your word for it on the final episode of Star. I'm really hoping that Nobuaki Nagano can do something amazing like the opening episode of Xam'd for AO. It would do great things establishing a certain quality level.

Wow that sucks. I always love some synth. Modern rock is somewhat overdone in anime as it is.

You're right I guess, it's probably me just reading too much into it however I was thinking them going with unknown VAs might be a way of establishing them similar to the original E7 where IIRC the VAs for the most part were unknown and that would take a few episodes.

Ah My Goddess TV 12
Oh noes, another plot to separate Belldandy and Keiichi from each other but is thwarted by Keiichi's true love for her. Yeah, while it is nice to see Keiichi act as a good boyfriend, it is hitting familiar grounds here. At least, next episode finally introduces the third goddess!

That was especially horrible considering how spoilery a lot of the endgame stuff ended up being.

I can't believe that I endured it for 400+ episodes of One Piece.

I will also say that the Eureka 7's beginning was not that great but it evolved into something that I dont think many people expected.

The funny thing with One Piece (and Toriko) is that you can shave about 5-10 minutes off just skipping the OP plus series summary and then the previous episode summary and at times the current situation in the episode summary, what sucks is that I land right on the episode title everytime, and I'm like "DAMNIT!" :lol

If you consider those three episodes I just watched and loved to death to be not that great then the rest of this series is gonna blow my fucking mind.

Brazil

Living in the shadow of Amaz
Let's see what I've missed.

Accel World 1

I love these virtual reality/MMO-based shows. The protagonist, though... Ugh. Poor kid. I still can't get over his design.

The direct link thing's an interesting concept, to say the least, hahaha.

"I don't want your eight hundred sandwiches!"

Acchi Kocchi 1

Stylized passersby, the episode number bubble, all the arrows in the transitions... Huh. What a weird Penguindrum vibe.

I guess it's easier to animate a character's hair instead of his scarf-covered mouth when he's talking, huh.

Also: "If I weight sleeping hour against my interest, the hell will smash the scale." Wut.

But that was good stuff. The show has a really chill atmosphere.
The boys jumping out of the window like it was nothing was awesome, hahaha.

And holy shit at that
EVO 04 Daigo x JWong
reenacting, bwahaha. Perfect.

Oh, so that's how this stuff works. I see.

Tsumiki's cuteness could probably kill some of the usuals here.

Nazo no Kanojo X 1

I have the weirdest boner right now.

Also, dat ridiculously sexy Yoshitani voice.

Upotte!! 1

Damn. Bwahahahahaha. They don't give a shit.
"I'd fire so fast with those big hands gripping me."

Gun orgasms. This would probably be Big Boss' favorite anime series ever.

Sankarea 1

And... Zombie moe. That's it. We've crossed the line.

... But that was actually fun.
The poor cat. :(

Natsuiro Kiseki 1

All of the characters looked so much better in the manga art. Specially the green-haired girl.

The popsicles and the ice cream looked pretty good, though, haha.

The slice-of-life cliches were piling up, and then
surprise kiseki. Wut.

Sengoku Collection 1

The OP song's great. And what a Nobunaga.

There's no doubt that this is a Brain's Base show when you look at the backgrounds.

But, yeah, that was fun. I like the concept.

What a day.

Gundam Age 26

Well if I was in the EFF and I had to pilot an Adele I or II, or a Genoace II, I would quit, such pointless suits. Otherwise pretty epic episode really. Would have rather had another Flit Desil showdown.
But Asemu taking down Desil, though depressing cause Desil was my favorite of the Vegans next to Zehearto, was pretty epic. I wish the Double Bullet could have done it a bit more stylishly. So many emotions with Woolf's passing. ugh

that's pretty much an issue with every long-running shounen series that isn't gintama

I think it's a Toei thing with their long running series, I don't recall this being an issue with Naruto, but then they add a ton of filler arcs so it's a case of pick your poison.
