Well, a little better than last week's at least in story. Uh, still no real conclusion besides wanna be magic girl ruining her magic trick.

Gakkatsu 02
At least it is a question worth asking, I did like them going overboard on protecting the stall, but uh really? Someone is going to peek over/under the stall?

Mai Ritoru Pony: Yuujou wa Mahou 15

Without love adorable goofy umbrella hats, the truth cannot be seen.

Episode is a doozy, featuring the two best ponies Twlight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie.

Twilight refuses to accept Pinkie’s psychic abilities at face values and thus hijinks ensue. Twilight is of the silly belief that Magic can only be active and not proactive in its usage! Poor Twilight goes through hell until she decides to embrace her friend. But not before plenty of awesome moments in this episode including a great chase scene, wheelchair moe, Ponyta and Pinkie Pie getting experimented on among other funny and enjoyable moments. I can't really figure out exactly what makes this episode work, but that's okay as Twilight Sparkle puts it, it's okay to not understand how somethings work!

Man, this show is really really vibrant and colorful, but also really really bizarre. Will be interesting to see where it goes from here.

And now for one of my most disliked of the season!

Our new character has as ugly a character design as the last.

Suddenly get pulled into new world/era ---> Want to dance
This logic checks out!

First
manager
that walks up to her and he's legit/not a human trafficker? Noep, not buying it, sir!
Random crying =/= character development

Terrible as expected, but not quite as absolutely cringe-worthy as the first. Next one can't get here long enough.

Note for MP: Didn't look at the ticker once this time! Took much of my strength.

hmmm should I watch polar bear cafe eps2?

I guess... I should...

Not enough vacuums!

========================================================================
does this mean I can post Adventure Time episode reviews?

Is it animated? Can you make a Japanese title out of it (just make up whatever)?

(Bouken Jikan?)

Play us off, Uchip!

Ooh, finally got a peek at next week's Sket Dance preview and it seems like they're doing the fortune teller story, which is a pretty good one. Looking forward to it.

Anime status: Fuckin' saved!

The pacing and direction are stellar, the animation and artwork are quite nice, and I really like the characters and setup.

This is where it's at! XD

Shiba Inuko 01-02:

Cute, but sadly kinda unmemorable. Especially since it's bloody short. I swear the opening credits were as long as the damn episode! o_o

Fujikoike 2

I really love the instrumental-with-staticy-character-voice-over OP. Maybe it's not the best fit for the tone of the show, but as its own entity I think it's great.

On the negative side, Jigen just isn't Jigen to me without his English dub. Fujiko and even Lupin are fine, but not Jigen.

All hail our new duck overlords?
Well, that was a treat. I liked it, it was pretty special and I really did like the imagery. It really does look nice, the whole drowning metaphor works, I could just go without all the weird faces. But, fishing!

There was actually a lot of
good dancing animation in this episode, I was pleasantly surprised.

This is the perfect show for pizzaroll, beautiful art and direction.

Ieyasu wants to rule the world as the top idol, I wish her luck.

Next episode, yuri~~~

Lupin III: Woman Named Fujiko Mine 02:

Though, I suppose that
if the series is continuing with the idea that everything takes place before Lupin and Jigen team up and Lupin is the influence that gets Jigen to lighten up
, then it makes more sense. Feels good to finally be excited about the show.

This is exactly what I am thinking. IIRC, he's also very quiet and serious during the first half of Episode 0 (the 2002 TV Special version of how the gang met.) He's far from the levels of baddassery he hits in this new series though.
It'll be interesting to see if he does meet up with Lupin in this series and if his character will change at all. Even in the Red Jacket series he often gets serious and pissy when women (usually Fujiko) are around, so it makes perfect sense in this episode.

The Light of El Cantare
Sengoku Collection 02:

The historical Tokugawa Ieyasu rounded up and slaughtered Japanese Catholics by the thousands.

Sengoku Collection Ieyasu sings with nuns and becomes an idol with Anime Satoru Iwata's help.

This episode was surprisingly watchable even if was still generic moeshit of the highest order. Brains Base is really trying hard to compensate for the terrible characters and plot with solid animation and colorful backgrounds, and there were a few spurts of dance choreography that were quite nice. Commendable effort on the studio's part.

My one big disappointment is that if future episodes maintain this level of not-terribleness, it's not going to make for a good suffer-a-thon. This episode was better than any episode of Brave 10, which isn't really saying anything at all, but still.

Unfortunately, not every episode will have Hanazawa there to try and save it.

Maybe this show will finally inspire me to start playing piano again! Who knows.

edit: So it looks like the OP singer also did the Honey and Clover OPs? Is that where everyone recognizes her from?
e2: Man, those are some pretty nice songs. No wonder people were looking forward to this OP!

I find this hard to swallow. Surely, Brave 10 had a better episode...somewhere?

It wasn't the terri-tier of the first episode, but I'm rolling my eyes just fine. A bit less than suffering though, so you might be right about the not-so-good suffer-a-thon.
Don't count it out yet though!

Is the joke how terrible the visuals are?
The visuals are certainly the funniest thing about this piece of shit.
The actual "joke" is the younger brother looks like a paedophile when he hangs out with his school friends and constantly gets arrested because of it.

The Light of El Cantare
A challenge set by Mad Pierrot.

He has probably undermined the event by now, but I still think it's fun. (The challenge, of course, not the show).

I look forward to watching and being most vocal about my dislike for as long as I survive!

I'm no mastermind, I haven't undermined anything! I merely possess the simple desire to make as many people suffer with me as possible.

Unfortunately, not every episode will have Hanazawa there to try and save it.

True, though next episode promises to at least have
blatant yuri
, so there's hope that the show can pull something out of its ass each week.

Which one of us actually made it through all of Brave 10 and can speak with authority on the matter? Just trust me on this!

We're not talking good and bad, just different levels of horrible.

I don't want to just echo everyone else, but I have to say that after all the mediocre or bad shows I've seen this week, it was refreshing to watching something so well directed.

Oh my god. This may be the best £13 I've spent. It's like non-stop crazy action and random english from Kazuya Nakai.

PUT YA GUNS ON

I've only seen the first episode of Kimi ni Todoke, and I liked it well enough, but I'm afraid to watch more because I've heard how things apparently never get resolved. I don't know if I could stand 30+ episodes of slowjo stalling.
