Ao is angrier in general. You can see that fire when he's talking with the adults but also his interactions with Naru. He's more upset with the situation compared to Renton who was more mopey. Ao is also hated more compared to Renton though, who was a celebrity because of how famous his father was.

His meeting with Renton should be interesting as I don't think it'll be pleasant.

Things will get worse once he
pilots the nirvashi and his hair changes and he is even more of a outsider
. I do hope to god that Renton makes a appearance and meets AO. That interaction could be amazing.

Hell yeah! We are the Cutie Mark Crusaders! Two episodes starring them in a row. I could enjoy more of this. Hopefully more performances are in store.

Even got a totally awesome musical performance out of this episode. Totally reeked of awesome 1980s Glam Metal music.

Twilight trying to set the girls on the straight and narrow path only for it to blow up at the end made for an enjoyable end to an episode for once.

Really enjoyable episode overall, I love me some Cutie Mark Crusaders. Feel like not having more to the talent show was a bit of a waste. The montage to start the episode was awesome too, always a fan of enjoyable bits without any dialogue at all.

I am curious where Renton is that he would leave his kid behind like that. I do see why they got rid of him though because he would be broken as fuck and would probably demolish anyone else.

The gags were funny a little more than half the time, which was enough to get me to finish it. Tomokazu Sugita is this show. Without him, there's very little left.

What little is left is also featured in that picture. Well, Ringo too.
Actually no I take that back. there is plenty left besides Sugita.

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san 1
I'll keep this short. My only complaints about it are that I was confused about how it started since it was so sudden and I hate both Mahiro's character and voice. Sorry Eri Kitamura, I like your other roles!

The Light of El Cantare

Considering Miyamae Kanako's decidedly negative experiences with
men crossdressing as women
, she would likely be the last person on earth to react that way toward Ruka, hah.

No one actually gives a shiot about MAhiro.
Its all about moe cthulhu.

I'm slightly disappointed that there hasn't been more outrage at my scathing review of Nyaruko last night. You moe fans really are unflappable!

Medaka Box ep 1 & 2

Yep...Medaka is all that. She loves everything and everyone. Shiranui scares the crap out of me though. Short, nuts, and knows EVERYTHING for some reason.

Natsuiro Kiseki ep 2

My goggles broke. From the writer behind Saki and A-Channel? Yep. Rinko flinging herself at the other two girls made me LOL.
You wouldn't mind being stuck to Yuka, Rinko?

Very true! But that gif summed up my expression perfectly after I came to terms with the fact that
Ruka is a guy. "He's a guy, but who cares!"

So it's twice as funny as Nichijou?

Yeah, I am skipping ahead a few episodes to start this arc because that's what I am really interested in.

This whole set-up is fairly unusual for the show itself, in terms of the way that their town is explained like it was a real location in a understandable world, rather than just a place where crazy stuff happens.

The change in viewing format (widescreen) as well as the direction made this pretty interesting to watch.

Presented in Shaft-o-Vision?

She literally just walks (poorly animated) past the camera. No words.

Haven't played the game... but is this just a bread making simulator?

What happened to the shining franchise o_O. Shining force was so good =S

Good enough.

Also, there is only one good bread making anime and its called Yakitate! Japan, and it is fucking amazing.

Bebop the Cowboy Episode the Fifth
I really don't know what you guys were going on about, this was my least favorite episode yet

lU8PT.jpg

If you're going to make a show that takes place in space, then don't use shitty CG so much!

To start with, Valentine, who will henceforth be referred to as Space Usagi because she was so dumb at the start of this episode, has run out of fuel, because she wasted all the money she won off of Bebop last week. She finds a case labelled "DO NOT OPEN", and decides to open it.

1oQIl.jpg

I think Space Usagi suffers the most from the 90's look - half the time she looks normal, like here, and the other half she looks quite bad

Meanwhile, eco-terrorists are trying to save the space-rat from the jaws of hungry humans.

smPVM.jpg

If you ask me, that's not a beast worth saving (sorry Darkside)

Bebop and his cyborg sidekick manage to capture the leader of the Space Warriors, fortunately.

jNsSX.jpg

Good facial expressions make such a huge difference

Somewhere along the way, they Tuxedo-Masked Space Usagi as well.

lxfUy.jpg

Except I doubt Tuxedo Mask would wear this face while saving Usagi

The government is being blackmailed, though, and so Bebop is forced to give up the evil ringleader.

dUzxk.jpg

A face that is so supremely punchable, I'm down one monitor

Space Usagi and Bebop need to fend off another swarm of Macross missiles, and at the end of the episode, she joins Bebop's crew. And then the case labelled "DO NOT OPEN" had a virus, which the ringleader accidentally uses on herself and crew. It's called, "poetic Justice"

jNWYa.jpg

I wasn't a big fan of this episode, but those faces were great

I have to say, this episode was so farfetched, and the characters seemed to have left their brains behind, that I really didn't enjoy this one very much. I really can't understand why so many of you were hyping it up as the episode that would really change my mind about this show.

One the plus side, the preview for next episode looked fantastic, and very reminiscent of the mood from the very first scene of the show, and the ED.

Good enough.

lol they don't even bother going into the actual bread making process. The whole eps is them going 'lalalala, let's go make bread, filled with heart warming love!'.

And the whole 3 girls and 1 guy setup the second the show starts...If this anime wasn't on the front page of this thread... I'd probably guess it was some weird bread fetish hentai.

And that would be more interesting than this.

Ah My Goddess TV 16
Well, being Mara is definitely suffering.
Fun episode at the least, with Mara trying her best to send Belldandy away. I actually did like seeing Belldandy angry if anything for her summoning the forces of nature against innocent bystanders.

Sankarea 02

wow.

huh.

Even though her dad is pretty much Izumi Konata's dad.

This feeling of disgust.

Surprised that they could get that kind of emotion out of me in 2012 anime.

But why is a rotting cat corpse so cute?

All this weird mix messaging.

This is a lot more interesting than what I expected out of the 'necro fetish' premise.

If you skipped the popularity poll arc, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Although Four Divas is pretty good too.

Does any know a irc for google chrome?

It's... not trash like I was expecting! It's not haremshit! Praise to the heavens, for DEEN is risen!

I hate to break the news to you :(

but it pulls a ben-to

the manga starts off pretty good but turns to haremshit later on, right now it's complete shit and mangaf don't even bring it up anymore

The Light of El Cantare
Shining Hearts: Shiawase no Pan 01:

Time to see if animated adaptations of fantasy JRPGs still retain a perfect record of sucking!

If you couldn't guess from the screenshot, that record is still unblemished. This show is absolutely and by far the most embarrassingly weeaboo show of the season, vastly and effortlessly outpacing even blatant moeshit like Nyaruko and Acchi Kocchi. I suddenly feel like the people complaining that JRPGs have by and large sucked for the past few years might actually be right. No wonder Sega never localized the game that this is based on; the translators would have probably killed themselves from all of the absolutely cringeworthy dialogue and haremshit.

I just about spewed drink out of my nose at the scene of the girls chasing the guy on the beach in the OP. And that was just the beginning. Basically, Rick, whoever the fuck that is, lives on some mystical island and apparently makes really, really, really good bread. He works with three supple young girls in eye-murdering cosplay garb whose relationship to him remains completely unestablished through the first episode, and they basically go around doing..........bread things.

Did I mention that everyone really, really, really loves Rick's bread?

You guys just have to watch this to understand just how ragingly weeaboo this is. The girls are just...........ugh. If you're not feeling masochistic enough to watch the actual episode, at least watch the ED. It's a concentrated burst of everything that's horrible about the show.

Really, the only way to derive any enjoyment whatsoever is to pretend (when appropriate) that "bread" is a euphemism. It may seem childish, but it works because of how vapid the women in the show are.

Just watch it.

Garbage.

Fate/Zero 2

Nothing good to say about this episode aside from the walnut/Saber scenes. If I do end up finishing this show with favorable impressions, I have no doubt it will be one of those "okay I saw it, no desire to watch it again" instances. Won't even bat an eye to any DVD/blu-ray release.
