What sucks about this is that it will be projected digitally and most analog to digital conversions ends up losing a little something in the process. Might have to hit up a genuine IMAX theater for this one.
It'll still be digital. Unless I'm mistaken, the only IMAX showings are in 3D so the film will be converted to digital projection no matter where you see it.

Lame. GMA's exclusive was the "First look" at the new poster and one of the teases from yesterday. lol

I'm a grown man - i shouldn't be this excited over a trailer for a movie

Unacceptable tbh - I'm going to remember this feeling and add it to my ever growing list of reasons for self loathing

i didn't notice that but one thing i really liked about the scene was the melding of the old star wars ships we've seen like 30 years ago with contemporary cinematography. the x-wing and storm trooper scenes especially give off this modern retro vibe that I'm loving.

I looked at it again, and there seems to be a slight blue tint in some shots.

Maybe that's what's bothering me.

I know with Nolan's movies some theaters, smaller ones, project it on film besides the real IMAX 15/70 ones.

Wow. I'm surprised JJ was able to convince the studio. The guy on Project Greenlight this season had a REAL hard time convincing HBO to shoot film.

Very very VERY interesting.

They're making a $3 Million film in Project Greenlight. Star Wars is probably close to 10 times that... Project Greenlight dude is an idiot for pushing for film that hard.

Shame this couldn't show during NBC's Sunday Night Football so we could have multiple John Williams themes in the one sitting.

JJ Abrams has the clout to do whatever he wants practically, and his budget/backing allows it. Random dude who won a short film contest to make a low budget TV movie doesn't have that clout.

It is 99.9999999% likely won't be in the trailer.

Did you see Indie Revolver's article on the trailer last week? I can't search it for it now while at work but...
They said he was in the trailer which prompted the fake Luke pic to surface on the weekend.

There's a genuine leaked Luke pic out there in the midst of a bunch of fake ones. If you want to know which is the real one, it's the one where he's in full costume and you can see the cameras. All the ones that are just headshots or with lightsabers are fake.

I'm curious to see how they handle Luke's lightsaber as a major plot device.

Seemed a bit silly to me at first, but let's see how they handle it.

Considering how big of a Vader fanboy Kylo is, I'm wondering if his entire motivation going forward will be retrieving that saber once he finds out it's been recovered.
