The 6" figures from Hasbro are not easy to find in the wild, no. Right now your best bet might be Walmart as they seem to be getting the most of them at retail. Online you can find a spotty selection of them at various stores. Amazon has had Rey and Kylo in stock for a week, which was rare up until now.

I've just been ordering entire cases of the figures online because it's the only reliable way to make sure I can collect them all. Unfortunately, even that method does not make you immune. Just last week my regular retailer had one of my cases delayed from January... to April. That is how behind Hasbro is in getting these on the shelves. Some sellers are being completely left out in the cold as stock is tight.

Meanwhile, other companies like LEGO are mostly able to meet the demand. Peo's X-Wing is a bit hard to find, but apart from that it's easy pickings.

Hasbro needs to get serious about investing in expanding their manufacturing if they are going to try to keep up with Star Wars in the coming years. I think they are just stretched too thin, as they have Marvel and Transformers being big sellers as well that they have to churn out.

I think you're right. It's a mix of being underprepared and stretched thin with other properties. I have to believe that they'll course correct very soon...too much money left on the table.

The last time this happened to Hasbro was in 2007 when Michael Bay's Transformers: The Movie launched. They had no idea how big of a hit that movie would be, and the toys were scarce that summer. I think they were able to ramp up production and get a good amount out on shelves for the Christmas season, though.

It amazes me that I keep seeing all these new characters coming out under the 6" black series line online but have yet to see a single one in person. I'm thinking about just getting into Lego ships instead lol. I wish hasbro would ship more because if this wave passes up with Phasma in it I'll be super bummed.

Oddly enough I am constantly seeing Black Series figures in the toy section/star wars endcap at walgreens.

Thats the only places i can find them really. Ive found two storm troopers and a Rey so far. Its crazy that characters like Han, Jango, Phasma and Hux even exist given what i have seen over the past month. Ive seen one Kylo but passed since it was the night i got my first and really wanted a storm trooper. I thought amiibos were bad. Hopefully what everyone above has said is true and this stuff becomes common place.

amazon has (VERY sparingly) stocking some of the new figures. Here are some links. OUT OF STOCK but could go in stock so... add to your wishlist!

I was able to order all three with some luck today.

(mild spoilers) Resistance Rey
Old Man Solo
Varmik (Hassk thug)

MSRP is 7.99, don't buy he scalper priced ones, lol

Unfortunately not much luck on the 6" figures on my end. Amazon stocked some of them but I did't catch any.

Great review that really shows off some of the amazing poses you can do. SHF is a great line. Happy to own that figure and almost all of the other SHF SW. I aim to keep it that way

I posted this in the main Star Wars thread but this might be the best place to ask.

Does anyone know how good the quality of the Black Series Kylo Ren voice changing helmet is? Thinking of buying it for my nephew as he would love it but I wasn't sure if it was worth $79.99.

Hey Korupt. What camera do you use to take the pics of your figures? I like the quality of it and I'll be getting some HT figures soon and definitely want to take some pics just to have and to show off to you guys.

Mostly an iPhone. Lol. I do have a head lamp that I use to make lighting better so you don't get that fuzzy look and I bought that $5 Pro Camera app that makes the quality of the pictures better.

From the reviews I read the helmet itself is great and very cool. However, the voice changer is a lost cause.

Nice. Yea all I've been using is my phone but thanks for the tips.

I found a black series 6" Captain Phasma today at a Walmart. They had about 5 of them. Just a heads up if anyone is interested, they are shipping more. It's a bad ass figure.

TAJ

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
Cool, thanks. I'm still looking/waiting for a better price on the Bandai Phasma model kit. It's around $30-33 in Japan but people want $60+ shipped for it.
My chromed-out Threepio kit should be here as early as tomorrow. I'll probably put LED lighting behind the eyes. It comes with two sets of arms. One that's fully chromed but not really poseable and one with full articulation but no chrome on the pistons by the elbows. I'm gonna try to get a decent paint match on the bendy pistons so I can use the highly articulated arms eventually.

Picked up the Lego Final Duel today. First non-ship I have put together and it was pretty cool.

Ahsoka and Kanaan look great.

Luke is alright. Likeness on real people never quite seems to be spot-on, especially on anything with Ford's face (though the old Han Black Series looks pretty good)

Yeah, the dude in the video...yeah...I just muted it.

for the 3.75 walmart exclusive black series, RotJ Luke, Vader, Chewbacca, Corronation Leia and RotJ Solo were an earlier wave. Leia is one of the harder ones to find at the moment from that assortment. I don't follow that line very closely so I don't know thte status of them.

(Feb 1st approaches... websites are stocking a lot tonight!)

I really need 6" Jango, General Hux and Pilot Ello Asty.

Please post if you see them in stock on amazon, walmart, target, toysrus, or anywhere else that has free shipping at MSRP prices.

Naa that pre-order is sold out. Their site isn't that well done, you can't tell it's sold out until you try to add to cart. I have had a case of Wave 5 pre-ordered but cancelled it after I got FN2187, Old Han and Flametrooper on amazon. Now I just have to track down a Jango to be done with that wave.

Im still blown away that the normal 3.75 figures are passable in 2016 with how un-articulated they are. Back in the 80's/90's GIJoes were full on pose-able in every way. Keep in mind i never bought Star Wars toys as a kid, so i'm just now realizing how crap they were back then, and continue to be today. The Black 3.75's are obviously good, but that should be the standard and not a premium.

It's a price point issue. Hasbro can't produce super articulated 4" figures as cheaply as they used to. They're now $12 to $15 premium figures, which parents won't buy. So to sell to those consumers, Hasbro has to go cheaper with the 5 POA $8 figures.

It makes it easy for me to skip all the 5 POA figures, and to even limit myself on the super articulated ones. I'm mostly just collecting 6" figures these days.

Yeah its cool if your collecting because it limits some of your purchasing, outside of the vehicles of course. Its just seems crazy to me considering that star wars toys may be the least functional action figure on store shelves in terms of playability. But also the most popular. I guess GI Joes were just rad for their time.

Hopefully Amazon restocks the Jango, and the Finn in storm trooper gear
Im starting to see some Fin Storm Trooper's at local stores like wal-mart and such. No Jango's though, You should give it a shot.

Who needs 6" Black Series Jango?

I don't have time to type of the entire ordeal but basically, here is the link for him:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B015RTJJKU/?tag=neogaf0e-20

BUT for some reason the listing is still hidden, however there are two workarounds if you want to order it:

1. open this link in Amazon iPad app (won't work in iPhone app, trust me I tried... yeah, it's weird). just press and hold on the link and the option to open it in Amazon app will be there. You can then order the item.

2. talk to an amazon rep via chat. give them that link. ask them to add it to your cart. Then you can checkout.

Good luck.

(I already filed a report about this odd behavior, amazon should fix it on their end whenever they get around to it)

Now is that Jango retail price or has it been marked up?

it's 19.99. once amazon fixes the listing they will probably bump it to 21.99 hahaha. so, take your chances.

So very glad I could help. I've now helped 5 people order it! Haha. Keep in mind it's just like any other amazon item, in that it could sell out soon now that people are spreading the info.

Bandai Threepio came. I had time to work on it a little and it's only missing its shoulders and arms now. It's gorgeous. Just imported the Vader but went with the glacially slow shipping option as usual. It's going to need a replacement cape.

Does anyone have comparison pictures of the Movie Realizations Star Wars (Historic Japan) line compared to Figuarts Star Wars? Or, if not pictures, does anyone know how the sizes compare?

I had wanted to limit my Star Wars figure collecting to the Figuarts line, but those Movie Realizations figures are irresistible. I just want to know how they will look if displayed together on the same shelf.

Here is a Movie Realization next to a 6" Black Series. They don't scale, not even close.

But it's a great line. I have Vader and Fett. Would like to get more. Curious what their Kylo Ren and/or Phasma might look like.

Damn, that Vader is so awesome.

I guess I'll just plan to display them on different shelves from my Figuarts if I end up getting into collecting them.

Also, I as well can't wait to see their future designs. I think they could do an awesome desert Rey.

Vader is fantastic but Fett is my favorite. These guys are all still available at retail or very close. Seek them out before that changes.

Has anyone seen this set of glasses on sale in Canada? My girlfriend bought a set at a Walmart in Mexico, but they didn't make the journey back and I can't find a replacement set anywhere. Any help would be most appreciated!

Anybody have any tell tale signs of a star wars figure being a fake? Im specifically talking about the 6" Black Series ones as there seems to be way too many fakes out there on ebay and even amazon judging by the reviews. I want a Darth Vader and i figured i would ask you guys since you guys know your stuff.

I own the ones you linked. Got them on Force Friday at Target. Never seen the ones pictured above in this thread but they look great too

Got a walgreens nearby? A lot of them are stocking this Vader variant right now, which is 100% genuine and only $20. If you don't mind the electricuted helmet. If you are into customizing, you can paint the helmet (it's actually a different -- and arguably much better -- helmet sculpt from the first 6" BS Vader)

Other than that the best I can tell you is you should spend some time googling "black series bootleg" and you will find tons of videos and pics to help you. Some of the bootlegs are very very close to the originals even including the packaging. Maul is a popular bootleg right now because they did a pretty decent job.

I'm fortunate in that I started collecting these 6" figures when the line first started so I have gotten every one of them at MSRP. So I don't have experience with the bootlegs
