"Gamepass" winning yet again!
Ubisoft plused it
Just casually viewing gameplay, it’s like 70% of the NPCs are women, including Stormtroopers. Much modern day immersion.lol seriously. Ubisoft tiresome open world game design combined with Disney/Kathleen Kennedy era Star Wars… can you think of a less appealing combo?
Don't get me wrong, I'll probably still pick this up for $15 lol. That's my Ubisoft price on basically everything they put out (except Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia).lol seriously. Yeah, I very much doubt it sold gang busters on PC due to the store fronts the game is stuck on. That’s where games go to die.The guy who said this on the podcast said "Xbox and PlayStation", so it sounds like that's not counting PC? I can't imagine they sold a bunch of copies on PC given it's on Epic Games Store and Ubisoft client, but not Steam...
Yep, I will probably pick up Gold edition or whatever it’s called in a year with DLCs bundled in for $20 to just mess around.Sounds like a great 10 euro purchase a couple of months from now.
It's time to become not-a-fan.It's gotta be tough being a SW fan right now. The two big pieces of SW media you got this year were The Acolyte and Outlaws.
Did it? the announcement was on 10 september, the game launched on 5 septemberSpace Marine 2 surpassed 2 million the day after launch.
Steam CCU numbers for expensive early access alone hitned at 1m+ in the first day.Did it? the announcement was on 10 september, the game launched on 5 september
Yeah you’re right. The announcement was the day after the full release but 5 days after early access.Did it? the announcement was on 10 september, the game launched on 5 september
Disney managed to make you hate star wars aswell?I literally would have been more interested if it was just a space game that had nothing to do with Star Wars.
Wasn’t there early access as well for the “Royal / Platinum / Whatever “ edition? To be fair. It's 2-3 days of tracking.
But regardless, it's not great if that's worldwide.
Sounds like a great 10 euro purchase a couple of months from now.
So around 5 days worth of sales data including early access.
For comparison ( Sell through numbers )

I think people just do a month of sub when a new big game is out, i doubt anyone stay subbed the whole year, ubisoft doesn't have enough output for that. How many people are subscribed to Ubi+?
Star Wars is not what it once was. I think George Lucas knew it too which is why he sold it to Disney.I'm surprised to be honest. I wasn't expecting a good game but I thought the IP would secure at least decent sales. It looked like the kind of game that is bashed online but actually performs well.
We only know this:Do we have an estimated budget of this game?
Then you haven't been paying attention to the Star Wars fandom. Disney has killed it for the majority of them. For average people with passing interest, there is now too much, too many shows too many movies, just too much. For long term and hardcore fans, the quality of story and character has been draining and most no longer care about current star wars. You still have the ultra hardcore who still love the idea of anything with Star Wars on it and Disney core who love the new direction of star wars, but they are significantly fewer than the former group of fans. The Star Wars name doesn't carry the weight it once did, even compared to 6 to 8 years ago.I'm surprised to be honest. I wasn't expecting a good game but I thought the IP would secure at least decent sales. It looked like the kind of game that is bashed online but actually performs well.
I'm convinced they hate women.
