Why? The character creation isn't particularly varied.Gvaz said:I just want a character creator. Commmeeeonnnn bioware!

Some people like to customize their character and spend some time doing so, while still retaining their names for the characters, so they won't get snatched up in the initial rush of Early Access.Qwomo said:Why? The character creation isn't particularly varied.
Skel1ingt0n said:I immediately preordered the CE the second it went live on Origin. A little while later, the CE showed up on Amazon; figured with no tax and $2.99 next day shipping, it was the much better deal. So, I ordered that.
The next morning, I see that I have a $170 hold on my account. What?! EA specifically said I WOULD NOT BE CHARGED until the game shipped. It was right there on the order page. Well, they pull a hold on your account for the full amount. Now, I don't care if that a hold is not the same as EA getting the money. The fact of the matter is; because of EA, I don't have access to $170 of my money, when at no point did they allude to the idea they would basically "check to see if my account is legit."
So, I canceled the order via phone support a few minutes later that day. No big deal. Guy was helpful. Said it might take a few days for the charge to clear. I know they always blame the bank; but I've *NEVER* in almost eight years had a hold on this checking account for more than 48 hours. Welp, now I do! :/
But NOW, I just saw they charged me the $20 preorder price, ontop of the $170 hold, two days AFTER I canceled.
Basically, EA said they would take $20 out of my account if I preordered. I currently don't have access to $190 of my cash.... and my order was canceled over 24 hours ago, and I got a cancellation email.
FAST EDIT: And before someone tries to make a smart*** comment about money, know that I have the cash to cover my bills. I'm more mad about the principle of it.
Yes they are still accepting people.yankeehater said:Does anyone know if they are still accepting people in to be testers? I just created an account and did the system scan and all that. I loved kotor 1 and 2, and I really want to try this but I dont want to pre-order the game if I dont have to.

They're still accepting people but not like you'd expect. This isn't a full-out huge beta like other games, the testing community is small and focused. Don't think that because you sign up to test that you'll be accepted. I've been signed up to test since 2008. Still not in beta.yankeehater said:Does anyone know if they are still accepting people in to be testers? I just created an account and did the system scan and all that. Also, if you have any desire to play at all I would pre-order. They're artificially limiting stock at launch to (hopefully) ensure server stability. If you don't pre-order or manage to snag a retail copy at launch you'll be waiting a few weeks until you can get in.
Impressive since beta signups didn't open until Sept 2009.Baller said:They're still accepting people but not like you'd expect. euuuuuwug. They might not have the keys at that rate. If you ordered SE you should be fine though.Ulchie said:Damn. Got my pre-order at GameStop Canada but they don't have early access keys yet. Said they would have them within a week or so. Lame.
Ya I looked at the CE and I knew that it wasn't really worth anything. I don't give a damn about the figure they're including (the reason it's $150 is the figure too lol) and nothing else they are adding appeals to me. I saved about $100 going with regular edition. Don't see the point of the CE unless I was never going to open it and then sell it at a later date (like 10 years from now) for hundreds.

This guy's points are put across in a boring manner, however, they do seem somewhat interesting (in concept). Hope healing is improved, was thinking about going healing Smuggler. Might go healing Jedi instead, can imagine force heals look cooler.
MaddenNFL64 said:I like that redrancor guy. Yea, boring delivery, but he's a fan, and puts in the effort. Kudos to that guy. None of the beta leakers have really bitched about healing much, so I don't think it's a problem. Not like the dude in the video even played the game yet, just observing. Could be right, could be wrong, who knows.

I'm a sucker for starship porn. I don't care what I'm doing as long as I get to look at a ship in space.Windu said:i played a free trial of eve online awhile back, got bored of it quick.
You do, but you just pick a destination and then it goes lightspeed and you're there. You only take manual control in the Star Fox minigame.jling84 said:So you can't fly from planet to planet and go lightspeed?
