this is what i will do as well probably...

The thing is, we DID get to play Jedis so many times over the years in numerous SW games, but i often wanted to be the OTHER guy on the side using a blaster so here's my chance ;)

Apparently you missed out on SWG? That was THE ultimate game for playing a non-force user. Bothan Ranger-Rifleman here. Need a Krayt Dragon tracked down? Or a load of the best Avian organic meat? I was your guy. 100% Force insensitive.

My god. The trooper gameplay looks glorious.

Totally not touching Smuggler tho. Small guns + Looks too much like Rogue to me.

Not sure about Jedi Councilor either. She has a Lightsaber, but opts to throw slow moving rocks? Wat? Jedi Sentinel and Trooper look glorious tho.

I agree, which is a shame since the Smug storyline was what I was most interested in.

Smugglers are the least popular class. When we get buffed to hell because no one plays us all of you will be so jealous that we're dominating you. Try grouping with the 500 other JKs and Troopers.

curious: what looks so glorious about the Sentinel to you? i thought it looked like mindless lightsaber bashing, not sure if it's just the user that sucks or maybe it was hard to be able to identify any real abilities during all those flurries in that video?

The user kinda sucks, but it looked more engaging then Jedi Councilor, at least. I'm willing to give JC a shot in the retail game, as the Esseles flashpoint footage of it looked better.

Wow, way to go. While they make it sound like an exclusive preview, it's actually the flashpoint walkthrough Bioware prepared for comic con and released as the latest Friday update. It is also not a full mission - despite both headline and description saying so. Mr. Erickson even says so in the video. How could they have possibly missed that?

Sorry for sounding like a smartass, but that is just so annoyingly lazy (and wrong - just wrong).

also I really like the loot system. I would rather everyone get rewarded when in a raid rather than just one or two people.

Too be fair, WoW has had the badge/commendation system since the end of Burning Crusade. It seems that BioWare is simply modifying the system so that there are no "group drops" at all, you either get something in your bag or you don't. I agree, it sounds awesome. No more DKP or loot councils or any of that nonsense.

...if that is, in fact, what they're doing. Sounds like they're still testing things and ironing out the system. I hope it ends up being what I just said.

Yeah WoW has had the badge system. However, the issue is that the badge stuff minus some trinkets was inferior to the raid loot stuff.

Now my only concern is that with this system, raid content will be finished MUCH faster due to people getting geared WAY ahead of schedule. Then again, maybe randomly only getting badges at times will slow down the gear process.

People may have to raid a few weeks to get a pair of pants, but at least it's due to their own package instead of losing to someone else.

Now is this early access thing with preorders allow you to gain access to the beta? or is it for use sometime in the future (Like a few weeks before official launch they will let those who preordered get a headstart or something.)

Exactly. It takes the guild drama out of the equation. You can't blame the officers for favoring someone else when you miss your loot, you either get it or you don't, just like if you were soloing.

GAF, I will be putting good time into this 3rd stage beta because I know most likely we are approaching the final product. Not going to play my main toon (inquisitor), but will play Trooper and get a feel for the game.

I want to be able to help everyone out as much as possible when head start begins. (Even though I can really only play 4 hours on weekdays, lol)

Not sure I'm reading that correctly. Will EVERYONE in a raid get an item tailored towards their class, at every single boss in an operation? Please tell me that's not what he's saying.

Everyone has a chance to get a random drop of their class, not everyone is going to.

From what we can tell, yes. It seems that all loot drops will appear in the containers, so there won't be any fighting over who gets what. You get it or you don't.

I've seen videos where they loot bodies and they have lightsabers and items you can get.

Everyone has been getting rewarded for participating in a WoW raid since 2007 or so.

On top of that you have the regular drops (which could use DKP or whatever) and that's not going away here.

That loot system sounds awesome in theory. I want to play the game for fun and this makes it more like a co-op KoToR. I tired of the grind in WoW.
