I can't create threads so I have to look for relevant ones. New Star Wars game ?

Lucasfilm domains reveal Star Wars: Identities - The name of a new video game?

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-11-09-lucasfilm-domains-reveal-star-wars-identities

Lucasfilm has been spotted registering domains for something called Star Wars: Identities.

The domains - StarWarsIdentities.com, StarWarsIdentites.com [sic], and sw-id.com - were registered on 7th November, according to Fusible.

Being Lucasfilm, the implication is that a new Star Wars film - perhaps animated - is on the way. That a new, grandiose movie is in development to succeed Return of the Jedi will is harder to believe.

Or, Star Wars: Identities could be a video game. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed developer LucasArts was seen hiring for an openworld role-playing game in August this year.
Two months earlier, LucasArts made it clear that the studio plans to make more Star Wars games - and better ones, at that.

"In recent years, LucasArts hasn't always done a good job of making games," boss Paul Meegan said. "We should be making games that define our medium, that are competitive with the best of our industry, but we're not.
"That has to change."
The next Star Wars game to be released will be gargantuan MMO project Star Wars: The Old Republic, on 20th December. Following that will be motion-sensing game Star Wars Kinect.
LucasArts hasn't commented officially on the Star Wars: Identities domain registrations.

I almost wish I got in a second time. I got through all the classes last time, but would really like to try to go really far now.

A buddy of mine did get in though.

I just got an invite for Nov11-Nov13. looks like they're upping the player limit based on the amount of people getting invites in this thread.

EDIT: I got an email earlier this week asking me to change my password. should i go ahead and do that before i accept the beta test?(pending a working swtor.com of course)

I've yet to receive a weekend test invite, but I think that's because I was involved in other test groups.

I'm not sure I'd want to play just for a weekend anyway. The release is too close and I think it might spoil it.

I've pre-ordered the game and would like to join the NeoGaf guild, Im from Canada and will be playing on NA servers.
When the site goes back up you can apply. Links are in OP.

Yeah, still down, and still not invited in. I think (think) it could be a good thing, seeing as how I predict it will drink my soul later this year anyway, so I'll have time to play Skyrim as well.

So a sandbox Starwars RPG made in-house?

I dunno. That would be epic as fuck tho.
It's also worth noting Lucasarts was also hiring people with experience in flight based games and either third person action or FPS games (can't remember which). This was at the same time they posted the listing for positions developing an open world RPG. Lastly, six months or so ago Lucasarts bought the rights to the Unreal Engine.

I pay attention to anything that could lead to Battlefront 3.

And I'm in. Looks like I'll be downloading this puppy tonight (you know, when the site isn't slow as sin. Also when I'm not at work).
You weren't in 10 minutes ago but now you are?

It sure would be nice to get an invite...

Boy, the last thing I want before I leave for my first major vacation of the holiday season in two weeks is not to be invited. At least it'll be a suprise for me. I should check my gmail account maybe one more time.

Still completely empty.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
I'd recommend everyone who's super psyched on Skyrim but also got a weekend to test to actually spend some time in TOR. Even if it's just a couple hours, it will be worth it to get a feel for the game and reinforce/change your decision about buying it. Besides, everyone knows skyrim's gonna be better a few mods down the line anyway (assuming PC version)

Then again, I've never liked elder scrolls games.
