Can hit play, but black screen with cursor. Hm.

Seriously takes like 20 seconds from hitting play to pulling up the program. Then just black screen with a cursor. Awesome.

There's a fairly long first time initialization, if you can hit play, just let it run and a video should start eventually.

This is what happens when you decide 6pm EST is a good time to start a beta. Should've started at 9am so people could trickle in. Although I guess if they're trying to stress the login servers, this works.

Yeah this isn't working. Guess I'll check later, but the whole 20 minute black screen and in-game cursor thing isn't reassuring.

Hm, I can click and here droid noises when I do, but nothing else. It's like there's no video being output. I dunno.

I managed to log in on my first try, but as soon as I finished creating my character and hit the submit button, the game crashed. Now it won't go past the log screen. Ah, well, more Skyrim time! (Just kidding, my ten-month-old needs lots of attention... no more gaming until he goes to bed tonight.)

The game crash not the baby.

Yeah, I was able to log in and select a server, but the game just black screened on me. I just tried opening the launcher again and I get a icudt.dll error.

It isn't a long load, I've literally let it sit there for at least 15 minutes. There's no video. If I click I can hear a droid making noises, otherwise it's just a black screen and a cursor.

Apparently it's an issue with the 11.8 Catalyst drivers. Go figure.

I just found the client. The damn launcher is saying my PW is wrong even though I just reset it about 10 minutes ago. Is the launcher failing to login because of the load?

Excellent news... sigh. Normally I wouldn't even care, its just that, I want to try this game out, but they have this weird ass weekend beta shit. And I will be working all weekend. So Ive got like today only. And they said it wouldn't be up until 5PM which eliminated most of the day as is. Now there's this, and that.

Everyone, if you got the email today, you are not in this weekend's test. They'll send another email with the download link for that weekend's client at some point.

Yep... my brother is getting a black screen with just a mouse cursor. If you click randomly, shit happens in the background...

Luckily there is 11.9 and 11.10, so he's going to upgrade.

After ending the process and booting up the game again - I am now stuck at the Star Wars Old Republic logo screen with the gear moving.... I wonder if it saves the server you chose....

Pretty odd they don't have a queue countdown too.... Not too impressed so far by the stress test.

Logged in, got a cursor but a black screen. Can even hear some sounds as the cursor moves over UI elements, but I can't see anything.

Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this? Is there a preferences file anywhere I can edit to a proper resolution even? Can't even get to the game's prefs screens to change it.
