so love death robots in the star wars anime universe. wonder how long each episode will be.
I would of thought more like halo legends or possibly even batman: gotham knight in the star wars universe.

I was going to add animatrix but that is really more like love death and robots in the matrix universe.

ill check it out. theres a certain brand of anime i despise, but some of the clips in that trailer showed some styles i think i will enjoy. star wars purists will hate this no matter what, likely.

I’m on with this.
Is Filoni involved on any level? This stuff just works better when there is one or two people managing the whole vision.

That dark gritty one and the Trigger-esque one (is it Trigger?) look fucking awesome. I genuinely didn't believe that I'd see anything come from Disney Star Wars that I'd ever get hyped about. Huh.

Semi-related - This is what I was hoping Disney was going to do the whole time. Expand the universe with interesting stories that have nothing or little to do with the main cast we've seen time and time again. This was the biggest mistake they ended up making with the Sequel Trilogy, IMO. It's a big universe, let's see some new stories.

You wouldn't have gotten as large an audience if they didn't tie it to the older characters though. I do agree that using that universe and telling interesting stories would have been best. While I did like the mandalorian I'm burnt out on the western aspect of star wars and I'm also burnt out on the shiny super advance empire. Give me a unique fantasy adventure experience. I'd like a horror dark side movie.

well, I'm still impressed by PS2 era graphics so this doesn't bother me

now if this was Lara Croft/PS1 pointy boobs type visuals then I'd have a problem
I wouldn't say I'm impressed by ps2 era graphics but I don't mind them. I tend to watch those non disney cg cartoons movies quite a bit so I'm used to lower quality cg. The characters don't really go along with the backgrounds though. I'd say that as long as the characters and story is good then it's fine.

Wow, this looks great. This is what I want from Star Wars. Not more shit about the Skywalkers or non-stop callbacks to the nine characters from the original trilogy.
Bring this on!!

This looks like something I can get into. I'm constantly trying with Star Wars but nothing really sticks. Chibi Boba Fett looks dope.

This reminds me of the "Batman: Gotham Knights" anime they put out over 10 years ago now, which I also really dug. I think this format works great for properties that have gone through many iterations. I think Ninja Turtles would be really suited to an idea like this, where you can explore both the goofier and the more somber aspects of the franchise all in one go.

Think Trigger's style is getting mundane now. Since Gurren Lagann Imaishi's style has gradually gotten worse but I was thinking about trying to get a free month of Disney+ for this and when The Mandalorian S3 finishes airing.
