Shit my thread about me liking Saints Row 2022 ended up with people saying I was a Volition employee and some retarded kek meme about me saying that the game is god-like while I mentioned all the glitches and janky physics.

GAF sometimes is like REEEEEEEEEEEE to furry teen dinos. It's a bandwagon of stupidity. Me? Did I ever say that anyone that like Starfield are doing bath salts? No. Not once.

No offense to you or you choices (seriously, enjoy what you want), but this here is a pretty good example to how gamers sometimes (sometimes!) settle for something. Why settle for something good when you can have better?

Starfield and FF16 are games you have to settle for in order to enjoy them imho.

Depends on who is doing the arguing I guess. I've got 80+ hours in Starfield. I've got zero in FFXVI. Pretty obvious which game I actually have an argument to make and which game I don't.

i was, but like i said a lot of time here, the game isnt bad and since i finished BG3 and dont have anything better to play i decide to give it another try, knowing the game flaws i may enjoy this a little bit more this time, but not having respec in a 2023 RPG is yet another let down, "wanna try another build in this so acclaimed RPG ?" guess what ? EDIT: Jesus, if i use console i ll lost achievements, then i need to download files, replace files, rename files, in order to re-enable it again ? why not give us the option to respec ? this is a basic RPG feature ffs.

I think that people are a little shocked at this game not being everything Todd promised though. Still, it turned out to be an alright game for fans of Bethesda games like Fallout 4 - just far below the hype that BGS and MS generated for it.

You got it all wrong man. I was saying the same to folks talking shit about God of War: R and Horizon Forbidden West, games I loved. I actually align more on the PlayStation side of things because I love Sony's games. But I like games far more than I care about platforms. And I'm a huge fan of space games.

To the bolded part, absolutely. Additionally, a large portion of the fan-wars around this game was trumped up by Microsoft themselves and their sanctioned 'influencers' like TimDog, Jez, Colt, and many more themselves, hence the backlash being publicized so much - these people ended up with egg all over their face which is admittedly entertaining to a lot of us.
-but regular gamers are just trying to encourage people to get well rounded opinions on the game. I was following leaks of the game and held my tongue (keyboard?) from posting all of the like comparisons to Fallout 4 I had for it. Because some people have such an investment in this game doing well, there are those who will dismiss critiques based on arbitrary guidelines like you menitoned, but Topher isn't one of those people I think.

Finally sat down to play it today, a few hours in and I’m not feeling it particularly someone who loves space/RPG games.

There is something about Bethesda games I just can’t take to, like there is something off about it and this feels the same. From the pacing to some of the visuals and NPC faces. At times it looks like a game from around 2014 and it’s a shame because I love the 2001 Space Odyssey meets Alien Isolation kind of filter/lighting they’ve got going on.

I can’t remember the last time Xbox genuinely blew me away with one of their first party games especially on a technical level and I really want them to do so, they bring out something that makes me think “yeah they nailed this, great job studio, Matt Booty , Phil etc but they aren’t imho.

I know I’m probably in a minority here with these opinions but I thought I would share them anyway.
