well after lvl15 there sure is a wall in the exp you gain in ff14 imo. i can feel da grind now. Still enjoying my time with it, just got to lvl17, we'll be together soon my sweet chocobo (assuming there aren't any strings attached like, gil, cause i got like 4k tops)

Hmm, I've never faced any experience walls while starting out earlier this year. On the contrary, I tend to be overlevelled and don't really do any sidequests due to that. I'm at like lvl 37, haven't been playing much recently.

Incidentally, if there's anyone who wants to join me for a few sessions, I'm on Exodus (NA). This was a silly decision since most of GAF players are on Ultros. :/

About Deus Ex: HR:
The Directors Cut fixes the shit bosses, right?
I remember playing non-DC full stealth but quitting eventually because the bosses were god awful and the opposite of fun.
Should probably give it another try if that problem is gone.

Wasn't the DC based on an alpha build full of bugs though? I don't think I've ever heard what the actual bugs were, just that it was bad/

DC fixes the bosses, but also brings the DLC into the main campaign which is a bit of a pacing killer.

It's also pretty shitty technically for a lot of people, with stutters that are inescapable. If you can get the stutters under control it might be worth a look, but I'll take the occassional lame boss fight and the DLC on it's own over a stuttering mess.

Some of the textures are also way lower quality in the DC.
It's mostly stuff like floors and walls though; not characters.

Urg, and here I thought it was the definitive edition :/
Well, I'll give it a try <.<

Can you not save your progress in the Genesis Hub if you have a Mod on? Seems kinda pointless to get mods if you can't.

EDIT: Sonic 3 Complete, btw.

EDIT 2: Fucking Controller problems screwed me over. >_< I'm sorry guys. I can save now, thankfully

For MGSV before a ton of people come in here and tell you it's the worst game of the generation or some other hyperbole. The game is fine, as you have noticed yourself the gameplay is great. It does have a few issues but it's other wise just thanks to gameplay a fun playthrough. Story doesn't do much besides get you to each new area, but unless you're heavily invested in MGS lore it shouldn't bother you much.

As for Deus Ex, the main thing I would say is despite what they said about it. It's really a stealth game at the end of the day. 90% of the scenario's are geared towards that route. You're in for work if you try to play it as a action game. The police station being a huge example of that. I would suggest putting points into invisibility sooner rather than later. It'll help a lot more than a lot of the other upgrades.

That's probably why DE:HR never stuck with me. I always like to mix it up. MGSV is amazing for that. It leads to some incredible scenes.

Toom Braider '13 is getting too long for its own good yeesh.
Also i cannot believe I had to blow up a friggin' ship JUST TO GET A SPANNER AND SCREWDRIVER.

i should finish sonic generation

Seeing how many games you post images of, I think you should finish the ones you are actually playing currently :p

Wow - the last Dota2 TI6 match was absolutely breathtaking.

Really easy to see how people get hooked to Dota when there are fights like that with all the twists and turns, even though I don't play

:D

it's the journey that matters!

that "experimental" NMS patch made the game run a lot better for me overall...still not perfect but a definite improvement

I know that others are saying it made things worse/no change for them but at least for me it works

That's all that matters.

Indeed. Good stuff if it works for you. Assuming they get it up to speed, I'll pick it up when there is a reasonable price drop, although I do have money stuck in my Steam Wallet that needs to be spent on stuff I can't get on GMG / that are at their best price on Steam. When my PSU returns, I might impulse buy stuff

The NMS experience should also be considerably improven in the future, given patches will add new features (they already said building will be in the next patch), so waiting for the price to lower a bit is the most prudent action one can do if they're not invested in the concept of the game. Right now, Elite: Dangerous looks much more appealing to me, but I believe in the future this might change.

EDIT: I have no idea why I quoted you, for some reason I thought you were talking about price drop when I glanced at your post lol

Director's Cut was based on an older build of the original release. Here is an overview of bugs that were either previously addressed in the original release and re-introduced in the Director's Cut version or bugs that were newly introduced in Director's Cut. I am glad that I have the original release, I honestly don't mind the boss encounters all that much.

Leisure Suit Larry: remake or original? Not really digging the remake's art style.

Ok, so I read up on this series on Hardcore Gaming 101 a while back, do you mean the original text parser version, or the remake of that which was a point and click, or the remake of that which is the most recent version?

Or Softporn Adventure which was essentially the precursor to Leisure Suit Larry as a text-only game?

No one wanted DNF? That's a decent game.

The first remake (VGA) style is all you need.

Uh, yeah, I meant the VGA version! Which is actually a 1991 remake of a 1989 remake of a 1981 game.

Well its kind of a remake I guess of that one game I'm not mentioning, I always found it strange that said game also got a remake for the PC-88 except instead of exclusively being a text adventure it had graphics which is nice I guess.

is the Sean Bean bundle worth it from HB?

Does he die?

Kholat was a major disappointment for me. As someone with a genuine fascination for the Dyatlov Pass incident, they really dropped the ball. It's like Dear Esther, but with a much more confusing plot structure and the actual story is silly. My only Steam refund so far. Not sure about the other games.

Can also confirm the experimental branch is quite a huge improvement for me. Can play it on high settings completely smooth now (first impression).

I don't use Steam, but have a question about refunding.
Is it only works for the first 2 hours? What about little games? For example if someone finishes a game in less than 2 hours, can he refund it?!

dang that's sad to hear

kind of curious about the accident :(

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?

Other folks have mentioned that Valve frowns on that behavior and abusing the refund process for that will eventually incur some sort of refund restriction, presumably where they will stop issuing refunds.

I think you're intended to use it for titles that outright don't work for your hardware. Even in the case of a title being of questionable quality there's an argument for caveat emptor.

Yep, SPACEPLAN was worth the trip - some high-quality work, that. Took me back to the heady days of the 2015 Steam Summer Sale clicker game. Good times.

Is there anything similar that anyone can recommend?
