That's with using a Steam controller? That's impressive.

I'll upload two videos, one of me playing with the steam controller, and one of me playing with KB&M. Keep in mind - I've never played CS Go before, according to steam I have 1 minute logged for CS Source, and the only CS game I ever really threw time into was CS 1.6. So this is about as blind of a run as can possibly be.
Nice, thanks for doing this. Should be the ultimate test for this pad as far as current games go.

So I'm almost certainly going to cancel my link+controller preorder from GAME. I've got steam home streaming working on my Mac mini and spare DS4 which isn't perfect, but is enough for me I think. I'll wait a while to see how people figure out controls etc and maybe jump in later

The problem with this is that by your own standards, mice aren't even functionally the same as other mice.
A high end gaming mouse with high resolution sensor will be more accurate than a low end mouse with low resolution sensor or a good old ball mouse.
You just can't differentiate functionality on that basis no matter what you might think.
That's actually a really good idea but I'll be using mine to play Mad Max, been holding out on playing it so I can try the new link & Controller.

I can tell that I would love the hell out of the track pad in place of a right analog stick. It looks so fluid and natural.
It was updated to say that? Did it actually say the 16th for you at some point? As far as I know it always showed the November date, and when I called them about it they told me that it had to be like that because the early shipments are still the same product as the ones that ship on the later date in their system, but they would still ship them early if you ordered them in the appropriate timeframe.

I don't remember any shmup footage specifically, but many 2D games were tested and there were no issues. I think shmups will work fine.
That's pretty quick. Hrmm maybe I order late or something but I order during the summer sale.

Edit: About the argument over the last few pages: There is no way to scientifically test which is the more accurate aiming device between a mouse and Steam controller touchpad, unless you can find someone who has never used either device and put them through a series of tests (even then it probably wouldn't be a completely fair test).
Portal 2, Pillars of Eternity, Homeworld (yeah, Homeworld), World of Warcraft, Diablo III, Ori and the Blind Forest, Dark Souls, Shovel Knight.

Same here. Preordered mine in store on day one, so there's no chance of me getting it early... Well, there is. My brother in law works there, so maybe, just maybe, I can get them to sneak mine out a day or two early. Otherwise this week wait is going to hurt.
I hope they actually ship before the 16th so it gets here by then. It would suck if I had to wait for the coming monday and spend the weekend without a controller.
