Steam curator warns players if Sweet Baby is involved in a game

The purple site has finally figured out this has blown up but of course incorrectly assumes the curator targeted Sweet Baby Inc. for harassment when reality was a Sweet Baby Inc employee targeted the curator to be banned on Steam via mass reporting. Further looking into this SBI employee found their extremely racist tweets, shown on that Asmongold interview. Proof is in this locked thread for those that took the weekend off.

You're right that they're not the source of the problem. SBI would be out of business if dev studios didn't use their services. What happens to SBI will be inconsequential because it's easy to shut down a company and start it up with a new name. The same people will still be paid to do the same work. The target on Sweet Baby is insignificant. If they fold these studios will just just get someone else to do the same thing. The only thing that matters is whether people stop buying the games.
People will follow the group because people love to virtue signal. That's easy. How many of the people who follow the group will boycott the games?
I don't think most people look at it as a boycott but one of multiple ways to inform themselves about potential political infections of their escapism.
I'm not withouth criticism though. This being a list about just one company is a pretty big flaw.. The author obviously didn't think this through completely.

This might be a worse for these consultancy groups than anyone thinks cause with the way that AAA games are failing, this entire situation has provided the Corpos with what they can use the most.... a scapegoat to the masses.
Edit: So this isn't just a loss of Steam sales. This is a open ticket for the Pubs to lay the blame of a blockbuster failure at an already unsympathetic, contentious, and external group if the game fails. Win/Win.
And they don't even need to be scathing about it. They can be polite how they want to keep all creativity and decisions in-house instead of seeking outside consultation which was their previous mistep. And that is an angle that will get the press and the casuals to give a second chance.

I listened to the creator speak about it in an interview with Amsongold. It's a good listen, if you're interested, and explains his reasoning for doing this quite well. To your question, no the curator does not write bad reviews. The Era post is misinformed about that. The curator only informs people what games have been worked on by Sweet Baby, that's it.
