I'm with Jase, I think all major plot points should be spoilered for anything no matter how old it is. Nobody is under an obligation to have watched/read/played something due to it being out for so many years.
The main word that applies here, I think, is whether you are being 'considerate' of other people. I wouldn't even spout Harry Potter spoilers like some in here have, because there might be someone just getting around to them, my selfishness isn't going to ruin their enjoyment of it.
I know people feel differently about spoilers, which I think is why being considerate is the right approach.

Deathinitive Edition has all these nice character models and stuff but then look at the texture on the platform on the bottom that looks like it's from 15 years ago.
Game runs pretty weird too - 144fps at most times, but then will drop down to like 80 or even below 60 at other times.

Have you turned down the shadow setting? Seems they had to brute force that mode so you are rendering ludicrously high-resolution shadows at the highest settings.

Probably best to wait till winter seal anyway. I would warn you that I've been told FC4 might as well just be more of FC3, but if that's what you are after it's worth it.

It's more exciting if you don't know who wins and not everyone can watch live? Of course, it doesn't happen on streams, but on VODs, sure. For example, TotalBiscuit adds like half an hour (or more?) of splash screen at the end of his commented Starcraft matches, so that you can't say "X has won so many rounds and the video is finishing soon so Y surely won't make a comeback".
