So, now that steam refunded me the money from an earlier MGS Ground zeros purchase. wpould I be able to purchase it now at the lower price without them giving me the same key and it not be able to activate? My refund won't be available for up to 7 days and I'll miss out on the $4.99 price point.

I honestly don't even know why these people are bothering at this point. They've gone way past the point of sanity.

Edit: Also, Abyss Odyssey went on flash sale. WOO! I need my goddamned cards to start selling with a bit more haste.

The current highest is ~12mil and they are slowing down since they have achieved their goal for today. Now they are going down the ladder and boosting slower rooms to at least 1M so people get the latest badge.

So there are only 2 more days left and then it's relisting for those who may have missed flash and earlier dailies right?

I just want to make sure because I'm wondering whether to plunge into Skyrim because my budget is about to be reached.

No. Ends the 21st. This is the 4th to last day.

I'd say nay. It's the weakest of all the TellTale titles available in terms of entertainment and writing; I'd recommend Wolf Among Us or Tales from the Borderlands instead.

But they typically don't have new sales on the last two days which would be the 20th and 21st, or do they usually do new sales up until the 21st and then they have an extra two days of old sales that people may have missed? I can't remember.

I think the last sales would be listed on the 20th and run until the 21st, then encore.

Trying to be frugal and only spend $30. Which should I jump on? Also is it likely the not-on-sale items will go on sale later?

I enjoy story-driven games; I enjoyed Portal 2 for its puzzles while the humor was secondary, which leads me to think I shouldn't choose Stanley Parable.

On sale:
Thomas Was Alone ($5)
Stanley Parable ($7.50)
Ori and the Blind Forest ($16)
Kentucky Route Zero ($12.50)
Gone Home ($2.40)
Papers, Please ($5)
Banner Saga ($5...not now but will likely come again)
Tales of Borderlands ($12.50)
Broken Age [GOG] ($8.50)

Not on sale:
Life is Strange ($20)
Planescape [GOG] ($10)

I've only played Thomas Was Alone out of all of those, and if you're looking for puzzles over humor and story, I'd be wary. It's a neat game, but not what I'd call overly challenging when it comes to the platforming.

Thomas Was Alone has been cheaper. It's good fun. I enjoyed that game a lot. Spent about 5 hours, leisure play. No rush, no hunt for achievements, etc. Vlad's right about it, though.

Stanley Parable you're right about. While it's another game I enjoyed, it wasn't much of a puzzler. It was all humour and narration, like a story that you could stray away from to multiple endings. You could finish the normal run in less than 5 minutes, there's an achievement for it and everything. I'd hold, also. It may drop down to $5, too, but it's one that can wait. Did in the last winter sale, and the last summer sale.

Papers, Please -- you missed the flash for that, maybe wait on it. Could come up in encore.

Kentucky Route Zero isn't complete yet. Two more acts still on the way in the next year, three complete. Current flash, though, so cheap as it's going to get for now. I'd hold.

I've done this twice with other games during the sale and it worked fine.

DreadOut is $3.74 right now.

If you are looking for a good, creative, older-school styled horror game, give DreadOut a try. It's an Indonesian indie game stylized after Fatal Frame. While it doesn't look the best and has a few technical bumps, as well as some hammy (I'd say enjoyably so) acting, it makes up for it in sheer creativity, execution, and atmosphere. Full of all sorts of ideas during its 4-6 hours course, as well as stock-full of secrets.

Get it! Great fatal frame style horror with a unique mythology twist!

Guys, is the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GOTY Deluxe edition worth it over the plain GOTY edition?

Some mods will probably depend on those DLCs, so you're pretty much forced into the Deluxe GotY. It getting a lower discount than the regular GotY edition is scummy as heck.

Bethesda sinks to new lows every day.

I guess the Deluxe it is.

Is Morrowind still worth it these days? Never played it!

It is a shame that Elder Scrolls Online didn't go on sale.

Am I the only one who thought this thread was about playing short games then getting a refund on them?

If it comes back for encore, you should. It was in my top 5 for last year. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
