Picked up Sniper Elite 3. The only other game on there night now that interests me is Farming Sim but its not enough of a discount for me to pull the trigger.

This is lame...I have to sit here clicking stuff to get summer badge. I know there are other ways but I miss the vote system

Yeah, the vote system was great, i just had to use my phone to click what i wanted to vote for and got one card.

I don't have time to spam a monster that's broken all day D:

From the Minigame FAQ:

Play the Monster Summer Game
If you’re Steam Level 5 and above, you’ll get a Summer Sale trading card at random intervals while playing, up to three per 24-hour period. (If you reach Steam Level 5 before the end of the sale, you’ll be granted the cards you earned by playing the Monster Summer Game).

Also, this was posted a few pages back, dunno if doing this will also get you cards, or if you have to actually click "Resume Your Game" to get them:

The problem isn't that GTAV isn't discounted enough, though that is the reason I'm not buying it.

The problem is that they're tacking extra costs onto the base game in order to fabricate a "__% off" deal that's complete garbage. It's a promotion, but it's not a sale.

Anyone else still having trouble signing in and staying signed in?

Also, I can't even start a session of the mini game.

Yeah. If they didn't want to put it on sale that is fine but tacking on extra things (in game currency microtransactions) and then "discounting" it to the regular price is kinda dickish, especially when its then advertised at x% off. I mean, yeah, the game + the money is discounted but it's like, letter of the law against spirit of the law. Yeah, it's a discount in a sale, but it's not really a discount in a sale.

Picked up Blue Shift & Opposing Force, so will play Half-Life soon. I had played it once more than 10 years ago on PS2 and can't remember anything about it.

Also picked up Operation Flashpoint Red River and Bet On Soldier; both will probably not be discounted further.

And picked up Despair. For £0.07 and trading cards, I can't go wrong.

I think I understand now. The whole point of the Monster game is to wear out our mice, thus encouraging us to buy the Steam Controller.

Anyone notice that the Steam web browser isn't showing "X # of Friends want this game" on individual game pages?

I want to get some gifting on, but it's not showing Wishlisted games from my Friends list.

Yeah, thought that was just me. It's not showing up

I'm probably alone in this but I'm not feeling the design of this sale. Too generic and looks pretty standard. Oh well, hopefully a couple of games I want go on the dailies!

I saw that but I couldn't quite figure out how to only buy Super Meat Boy (didn't want the extra games).
Humble Bundle gives you a Steam key for each game (if you don't want them just ignore them or better still modbot give away them...there might be one person left who doesn't own World of Goo) and can fully customise where your money goes via the Choose where your money goes option.

If you are into super Meat Boy though, Dustforce might be up your alley.

Anyone else having issues logging on through the web site? Most of the time it just sits there spinning for a while, other times it says the password is wrong (it's not).
