I feel like I'm pretty confident about the games I want. I haven't bought any PC game in a while, and I've read/seen enough about the games on my wishlist to know I'll enjoy em if I get them. Plus, they're mostly indies so I expect my wallet not to suffer *too much* with this sale.

It's something like my 12th Steam sale. I should know better.

Are any good VNs on Steam? I've enjoyed several similar style games on 3DS and Vita, but there are so many on Steam I have no idea where to start.

Fruit Of Grisaia (aka Grisaia No Kajitsu) is a generally acclaimed romance VN. It was released quite recently so it likely won't have a big sale (don't expect anything beyond 10%, laugh at anyone who expects 20% or more)

Higurashi When They Cry (Ch. 1- Onikakushi) is a horror VN, there will be eight chapters and only the first one is released right now, you can buy it for quite cheap (alternatively, wait 40 minutes and possibly get it for even cheaper).

Besides those, there aren't much right now that I remember being on Steam.

Wait two years.

Why? Even GTA4 didn't stay expensive for long. Plus, considering it's the summer sales, you bet your ass they'd get so many people buying it. Hell, the game could of been gotten for about $45 or so at launch with promos. Why not $30 now for this sale?

Not like it's Activision and COD.

I picked Gta v up few days ago for £28. This was a Rockstar code but I still added it to Steam so my mates could see when I'm playing it.

Rockstar is pushing social club on all other key retail sites, you think they would drop steam version's price so soon?

I'm mostly hoping for good discounts on indie games. Looking at the last few Steam sales I'm not expecting much however.

My wallet is still crying from last years sale.. Everything was so cheap.. Then I checked the total spent. Man... Good/terrible thing my fiancee lets me run the household economy and doesnt really care about much as long as the bills are paid :3

Grisaia seems to be the stand out one, I'll keep an eye on it and give it a try, thanks.

It's not gonna happen. The game has been in the Top 10 most sold games in Steam for like 5 months or something at full price. At most it might have a 25% discount but that's pushing it I think.

What's the deal, will this be one of those sales that I should wait for deeper discounts during the sale?

WAIT FOR THE DAILIES YOU BASTARDS etc

Not sure if I will buy something, but looking forward to the sales. The main reason is that my laptop isn't that great for gaming, so I haven't manage to play some of the games I got at last year's sales (was my first one).

Still, might get a game or two for when I eventually build a pc.

Game sold almost 3 million on steam. It won't go to 30$ for quite a while. Expect 49,99$, maybe 44,99$ at best and even that is being quite optimistic.

I'm going to budget, I think that'll be for the best so I don't spend too much. I said that last year too, and the year before that. But THIS TIME I MEAN IT!

what are your specs?

I had hoped Lightning Returns would be out in time for this sale l m a o

On the lookout for Alien Isolation though. I own it on PS4 but want to support the devs.

When it could of been had for $45 before launch via GMG, why not make it $40 then?

GMG is insane about drawing in new customers by selling at little or no profit margin. They practically advertise exclusively with extremely low pre-order prices and make most of their money on other discounts throughout the year.

im hoping for ARR on sale
feeling ready to jump into my very first subscription based MMO as ive only ever played F2P

I'm hoping for that too. I wonder if my free month starts counting the moment the game appears on my games list or the moment I log in for the first time =X

Hopefully the latter.

Anyway, hoping to double dip on some XSEED and Playism stuff, and hoping to finally buy TitS.
