Yeah, this game was a real surprise for me, it's amazing.

That video doesn't even show the insane mode, and the song doesn't look very difficult.
It gets really really busy and full of seizure inducing effects.

It helps that I adore the soundtrack anyway (It was well worth buying), but this just takes it to a whole new level. If you're on the fence about the game, just watch Carm's Youtube video. if that doesn't sell you on the game, you lack a soul.

Had to pick up the ultra dlc. Time to boot up some pendulum and ultra mode and have some headache :D (from all the visuals)

If you can do that sure, but the jist of it is that you both have to have the songs indexed. The key word here is INDEXED.

To reiterate, if you like shoot-em ups and music at all, I think you can't go wrong with Beat Hazard (Get the Ultra DLC or the whole pack thing)

In last year's sale Shatter was bought, gold. The OST goes very well with Beat Hazard - super blown away there.

I was planning on buying Shatter this year just waiting to see if it's a daily. Does the soundtrack come with it? If that Amethyst Cavern track is any indication, I'll be buying that too seperate purchase or not.

All 3 are good and they all kind of have their own feel. I think they are all worth getting.

How to you die in survival mode in Beat Hazard??

I played for a good 15 minutes and wanted to die and get my points, I crashed on purpose over 20 times and still I didn't die. Wtf

Bought all 3 Stalkers and didn't touch MW. I did my part.

Stalker was one of my most anticipated games of the sale, along DoW2 Retribution, Aquaria, TLJ and Vampire.
I'm still waiting on Vampire.

Well, it took me a little over 4 minutes to decide I might as well just spend $8 more on Steam. I've always wanted to try the first one out, but I've definitely heard mix reviews. That's why I'm kind of curious if I should just play pripyat first.


*edit: I've never really noticed this before, but can you not download in the background while playing single player games? It seems like my downloads stop just because I'm playing HL2

it has everything going for it if you're looking for.. well a COD shooter

I want to make sure Motionjoy with DS3 works with it first.

It did for 10secs, then I heard the USB sound and the DS3 got disconnected. Now I wanna figure out how to make it work with Beat Hazard again.

Goddamnit.. just tried it again. I can kill a few enemies before the pc starts lagging as fuck and all of a sudden my DS3 controls are different. Circle = accept and the sticks don't work, neither does rumble.

What the hell?

I'm using a PS3 DS3 controller with it and it works great.

lol wow I thought that the "two bosses and a hoard of enemies right outside the door that's nearly impossible to live through" parts of Torchlight were as cheap as it got, until I met the Dark Zealots. Each of them can summon a wave of super fast running skeletons, and can do 90% of your health in a single attack at a large range. It's kind of ok when there's only one and you see it ahead, but when you drop into a room and there's 2 or 3 of them and they all summon and fire these beams at once..... what cheap fucks. The green attacks they fire are dodge-able but this laser-y attack is not.

Pretty cool game otherwise. Pretty sure I'm nearly done the main quest as a Vanquisher on hard at about 25 hours (did a bunch of side quests).

Like I said the game starts lagging and after that I can't use my DS3 till I reboot Motionjoy. It works fine with Portal 2 and Bttf.. :(

Could it be a memory issue?

Intel Celeron D 3.47ghz
1GB DDR2
9600GTO 1.5GB ram.

I'm gonna pick up a 2 or 4gb ddr2 ram today, maybe that will fix it?

I won't buy it till I can play with my DS3 stable :(.

I just bought Beat Hazard after watching that youtube video. I love games which uses your own music for stuff. After Audiosurf, this shall be my next fix.

Bought Wings Of Prey. I've been looking for a combat flight game that could be tweaked for arcade style gameplay. 360 controller support is awesome and really ought to be mentioned on the store page. Grabbed the DLC too, wahey!

I bought Beat Hazard when it came out on Steam and was very disappointed with it. My main problem was collecting the power ups for volume, so lame. I played for about an hour and a half and then uninstalled it.

Wow, has this game changed. Love seeing all the positive comments it has been getting here because it really deserves it. The perks, new enemies and weapons with the DLC. I went from not caring about it to buying the DLC and will keep it in my rotation for music games (Audiosurf is still my favorite!).

Could someone please tell me why I can´t get Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl from German Steam? CoP and Clear Sky are there and the game isn´t indiziert or anything, what gives?

Having the prequel and the sequel but not the main game would be...odd.

This. I've never been photosensitive at all, but after about 15 minutes spent on Beat Hazard I felt really dizzy and had to stop playing. Should I be worried about this or is it just auto-suggestion?

That was three hours ago and my vision is still pulsing, for lack of a better word. I don't know as cool as that game is, and it is cool, I may stay away from playing, at least at night. Maybe it's easier to tolerate during the daytime.

MediGAF: As much as I enjoyed Beat Hazard, is it possible that it may trigger some sort of photo sensitive reaction even without a history of it?

I'm torn between wanting to play it, and not wanting to roll around spazzing out like a Japanese kid watching Pokemon...

Just played a co-op game on one of the included metal songs. Was so awesome. A boss came in at the guitar solo, so it was us two just unloaded on this massive ship with a solo rockin' in the background.

Good stuff indeed.

Anyone else having problem with the security check Steam has in place for using new browsers?

I have a fresh reinstall and it's prompting me to input the security code they sent to my mail address, only problem is I didn't receive any email from Steam.
Is there some delay due to the summer sale or should I contact Steam support right away?

My email took a little bit to come in, so I'd wait, like, a 1/2 hour before even considering asking for help.

Maybe, but 1 gig is starting to be too little these days for most games, hell, most operating systems. So I think the 2 gig or more is definitely gonna help something. Hope you get it fixed bro.
