Thanks for the recommendation, purchased AI War among others. Has BttF gone on sale yet? Just was wondering if I didn't miss it in the sale.
If you mean back to the Future, yes it has gone on sale already.

Took about 25 minutes to get the And Yet It Moves achievement. I think it was in level 3 or 4.
Level four, and damn if those bats weren't fucking with me going off into every nook and cranny instead of going where I wanted.

Wow, Spiral Knights is not too bad.
What I like the most about this summer sale is that it's making me play the games, and I've discovered how cool some of those are.

I haven't bought anything yet, but I'm having fun playing what I've already got haha.

So, I finally decided to get a couple of tickets and I ended up downloading a demo. People were saying Solar 2 is pretty small so I went with that. Somehow Solar 2 ended up in my wish list. Funny how that happens.

I was totally getting into that demo. Good stuff.

I could not have said it better.

Transformers is fucking amazing. Best transformers game I've ever played, probably one of the best third person shooters I've ever played as well. Story is better then the recent films and the voice acting is perfect.

For those that may have missed the Oblivion sale earlier and want it at a cheap price. (Not registerable on Steam, though)

$8.25 Not bad...

The tricky thing about this is that Steam typically has a "recap day" at the end of the sale featuring some of the best deals from the week. If it includes Oblivion then with the D2D sale you're paying more and losing Steam integration. If it doesn't include Oblivion, then you've probably missed both sales :/

Should have mentioned that this is the deluxe edition so its actually 35 cents cheaper. :)

But yes you are correct, thought I would just share for those people that might now want to take the chance.

Wow, my downloads have completely died. I'm not getting anywhere with these Stalker games. Is Steam really this hammered at 8am EST?

You mean when everyone has just gone to work and has left their client downloading all the stuff they bought last night?

Is there an easy way to get the Beat Hazard achievement?

For some reason in Boss Rush mode all the bosses like to huddle into one corner, and I'm having a touch time only shooting the one with turrets left on it.

Some VERY interesting things in the registry

Twisted Pixel Games Comp
- The Maw and an unknown testapp

Steam Guard Test Sub
- Has L4D2 listed in the appid section (odd)

Edge Beta
- No idea what EDGE is, anyone know?

Fallout New Vegas: Old World Blues
- Pretty obvious :p

Sanctum
- There's a new 3 day pass for Sanctum coming
- There is now an entry for a Sanctum 4 pack (assuming the patch is coming soon)

Nexon Comp Sub
- They do a bunch of F2P games http://www.nexon.net/

Someone sent me a three day MNC pass but I declined because I was buying the game. So they sent it to someone else. Problem is the gift window keeps popping up every hour or so. The "ignore" option doesn't even register, so my options are to accept the gift or have it remind me later. If I accept the gift, it gives me an error window saying the gift is no longer available.

Then it pops up again an hour later. It's been doing this for days.

Talking about War for Cybertron.

75 metacritic + cool franchise

That usually translates to good fun. I don't have time for it though, still have to work my way through The Witcher 2. I've made a promise to myself not to create another huge backlog by buying things impulsively. I'll only buy things I really, really want.

Am I missing something, or is there no way to remap the controls in And Yet it Moves?

I'm constantly turning the wrong way and not only is there no invert controls box, but for the life of me, I can't remap them to my liking. If he didn't include an option, that's some arrogance on his part. Game is garbage to me at the moment.

I had that problem but I could live with it for the 25 minutes it took to get my Steam raffle ticket.

If you turn the wrong way, you can quickly fix the direction and it rarely hurts you.

War for Cybertron's multiplayer is incredible. Fly around the map as a Scientist, spot an enemy in midfight, transform and pull off an overhead melee = holy shit why didn't I buy this day one for 360?

Hopefully there's a "best of Daily Deals" that Steam usually does on the last day and hopefully WfC is one of those deals. I need this community to stick around for as long as it can.

Transformers is a cool game rendered unplayable by a 30 fps cap that can fortunately be removed by running a little handy dandy exe available on the interwebs.

Are people actually playing War for Cybertron multiplayer on PC?

Currently there's roughly 70-90 people in the Team Deathmatch playlist at reasonable hours with the other 5 playlists being barren(with about a dozen people knocking around in Conquest every once in a while).

I seriously don't expect even that to hold up past a week.

What about the DRM? Does it have an activation limit?
DRM is gone but it still has the annoying yuplay app it starts up with the game. I have to manually close the yuplay app in my system tray after I've exited the game.

Edit: You can delete yuplay from the game directory but then you won't be able to play online.

COD4 is great for single player. Why would you want the 'nade spamfest of MP?

Not only that, but a lot of servers on COD4 PC like to cram 24-32 people on one map, and it becomes glaringly obvious that maps were designed for 16 players max.

That's great! I haven't played a flight sim in a very long time.

Bit on the King Arthur collection last night though. Couldn't resist a strategy RPG game that received positive reviews.

Edit: I knew I had read about the DRM somewhere.

I never worry about DRM. I'm not going to be uninstalling and re-installing it and in the event I do go over the limit, I'll either call them or make 'other' arrangements. Does sound sucky though, 3 activations.

Edit:

I wanted to love Transformers, but it just seemed so bland. Fun little arcade type shooter to play once, but I traded it in as soon as I was done. All the levels blended in together as well, since the game is so devoid of any deviation in any colour scheme.

No... there's no easy way, but at the same time, it's not too difficult. Keep in mind, you need to keep two bosses at once on the screen with no turrets. The best for this are the two smaller ships that 5 (I think turrets). You can safely shoot off their wings, but leave their fuselage. Once you do that, make sure you don't shoot in their direction at all for 60 seconds, the duration of the achievement. While you're waiting for the 60 seconds, more bosses will pop up, just be careful and kill those.

Easiest done in Boss Rush. Hope that helps a little.

I ended up skipping Civ V and went with Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky.

Edit: I've decided to get Civ 5, as well.

You should've picked Shadow of Chernobyl, and then in a separate transaction, pick up Call of Pripyat for $3.75

I already own a retail copy of Call of Pripyat, though I haven't gotten around to playing it yet.

Found a way to get the keys remapped, but it's not enough to keep me playing. The controls are way too digital. I don't know why he couldn't have replicated the analog motion controls by using the mouse to rotate the map.

Now I know why this game was completely off my radar. I must have played the demo when the game was initially released on PC and wiped it off my purchase list. Because I know there was a time I was excited about this game.

I didn't even realize I owned AYiM (must've got it in an indie pack), and I know that those 24 minutes that it took to get me the achievement will be the last. It's just not very fun, and more often than not I rotated into the wrong direction. Also, if you gain any amount of speed, it's pretty much instant death, regardless if you land on a sloped surface or not.

So yea, no thanks. The game got deleted immediately after that achievement.
