NO, fuck matchmaking.Sanjay said:Death from above!
But that's with every game. There is a ranking system and if you use match making your best bet to find players on your levels.

RTS games are meant to be played with friends, and using skype/mumble.
Red alert 2 in a LAN with a friend is the most hilarious thing ever, mind games, talking trash , bluffing, giggling like a schoolgirl if you manage to weasel your way out of a tactic that should have ended you.
(seriously)

I've only recently gotten into RTS games and CoH is great fun.

2 amazing games.

Um, pull the sand out of your pussy. What is so bad about putting in the CC info and then canceling?2San said:Fuck owned myself with RIFT. I forgot to remember that most MMO companies are fucking scammers. I can't make use of the free month without giving my credit card details(yeah fuck you Trion, I'm never giving my credit card info to you). Or I have to buy a game card(yeah, I'll totally support your scamming ways). Fucking 15 euro down the drain.

I don't trust trashy companies with my credit card info. Is it really that surprising?Saren is Bad said:Um, pull the sand out of your pussy. What is so bad about putting in the CC info and then canceling?
Yes, my brother bought it, figured I play a bit with him. I like playing MMO's for a few weeks before I form an opinion.AEREC said:Did you only expect to play it for a month or something? I thought this was how most MMO's work.
Cant you just cancel your CC afterwards? I cancelled mine 30secs after I subbed.2San said:Fuck owned myself with RIFT. I forgot to remember that most MMO companies are fucking scammers. I'm the bitch when you defend shitty company policies from failing MMORPG companies?Saren is Bad said:I guess if you're a bitch about it.
More proof I guess that Trion is a trashy company. :\Amneisac said:My friend bought it for $9.99 during the Father's Day sale from Trion, they sold the MMO WITHOUT GAMETIME (to be fair, they did say it didn't include gametime, but he missed it) - and the first time he logged in after installing they automatically billed him $15 for his first month with no warning.

Never said I had it the worst, more proof I guess that Trion is a trashy company. :\
I just don't understand why you would buy the game in the first place if you think it's a shitty company. In addition, did you only plan to play the first month? Just seems like you dug your own grave on this one.2San said:I'm the bitch when you defend shitty company policies from failing MMORPG companies?
It's gaf, there will always be one guy doing it just to be a jerk.2San said:I'm the bitch when you defend shitty company policies from failing MMORPG companies?

It was 15 euro's figured it was worth a shot even if it turns out average. I decided they are trash after finding out their policies.Saren is Bad said:I just don't understand why you would buy the game in the first place if you think it's a shitty company. Yeah sigh, MMO companies are terrible. At least Blizzard changed their ways and there's always Guild Wars.SneakyStephan said:It's gaf, there will always be one guy doing it just to be a jerk.
Wow required CC info in 2005 btw (when I made my account), I remember using a friend's CC to register.
You should see the people coming in each day whining about when something is going on sale that just was the day before.marrec said:Man, I even put a trollface in there...
I've owned Bioshock on 360 since release and have owned it on my PC for 2 years, the waiting for 5 dollars thing was a joke.
Though, I suppose with people running around freaking out about 3-7 dollars on V:tM Bloodlines it's hard to tell truth from fiction.
If you want to spend 10$ on it be my guest even for just one month, but at least be a reasonsible buyer and maybe peruse the website in order to avoid "shitty policies." I thought it was pretty common knowledge you need a CC for any MMO. If that's white knighting then so be it, just don't be a dumbass when you purchase stuff.Amneisac said:Buying an MMO for $10 (or 15 euro) doesn't seem unreasonable if you just want to try it out for a month. I don't know if they offer any kind of PayPal option, but I can see not wanting to hand out your credit card since you get 30 days for free. I don't see any reason for you to come in here like a white knight defending Trion telling someone to get the sand out of his pussy.

I admitted that it was my own mistake that doesn't make the policies any more shitty. As I said I forgot most MMO companies are scammers. The last MMO I played was GW, WoW and various F2P mmo's.Saren is Bad said:If you want to spend 10$ on it be my guest even for just one month, but at least be a reasonsible buyer and maybe peruse the website in order to avoid "shitty policies." Why can't you read as well? I already admitted my mistake, but doesn't excuse Trion from having a shitty policies. So explain to me again why exactly I can play for free for one month If I give my credit card details. Why the fuck do they want my credit card info? Of course it's obvious that a new game selling for 10 dollar with a $15 dollar subcription makes no sense, but why the fuck would you sell something for $10 that's worthless anyway?Cru Jones said:Just because someone doesn't read that it doesn't come with subscription time when it was by their own admission visible doesn't make them a trashy company. RIFT is a relatively new game and if they were selling it for $10 it would be understandable that they might not give the $15 value of a subscription away with it as well.
Also, I am pretty sure on the Steam page it gives you big warnings saying that this game requires a credit card to play (correct me if I'm wrong, I am at work, but I know I've seen those warnings on many of the MMO pages on Steam)

Just checked out of my own curiosity, and yeah, it does state that a credit card is REQUIRED to play. Sorry dude who bought it, but you shot yourself in the foot with that one. Can't blame the company at this point, just the fact that you didn't notice the warning above the actual purchase area. I've fallen victim to this with other MMO's before I knew that it was common practice (I'm looking at you, WAR), so it's not uncommon.Cru Jones said:Also, I am pretty sure on the Steam page it gives you big warnings saying that this game requires a credit card to play (correct me if I'm wrong, I am at work, but I know I've seen those warnings on many of the MMO pages on Steam)
Really? I think you should read up on what message board is about.Nalsh said:I don't think that Trion is failing or trashy in this respect, Rift is doing quite well. It's a good game that they're not afraid to market quite aggressively.
If you can't seem to read that CC info is required, please don't subject us to your whining when you find out that it is.
