A little OT but anyone know if this kind of sticks works well with Freespace? Or should I just be buying one of those sticks without the throttle?Petrie said:http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001CXYMFS/?tag=neogaf0e-20
I'd love it if anyone could give me impressions on this, or other similarly priced sticks. I'm not going to go all-out seeing as I don't even know if I'll get into the game/genre, but it seems like it'd be hard to really enjoy this game with Mouse and Keyboard. If I'm wrong do say so though!
It's co-op and versus, which is basically 2 co-op teams trading off. Bots fill in the empty spots but they're pretty dumb.Sblargh said:btw, something that was never clear to me regarding Left 4 Dead. Is it co-op only?

He's talking about using the mouse to aim, and seta is basically a Fast Forward button, and autopilot is well, just that.Petrie said:Oh to only have a clue what any of this means. I hope this game is 1/2 the experience I'm hoping for.

No. There is also team-versus modes (one side plays as survivors, the other side controls special infected). You can also play with bots in the regular campaigns if you can't field a full team of four.Sblargh said:btw, something that was never clear to me regarding Left 4 Dead. Is it co-op only?

First L4D still has enough population so finding people won't be a problem? (I guess I will find out soon enough, but oh well)

If Steam is denying the card but there's nothing wrong with the card, purchase through Paypal. They don't deny Paypal, even if Paypal gets the money from the same card Steam won't accept.Meatpuppet said:Purchase of

Terran Conflict came out October 2008 and recommends a 256MB video card. I think you should be okay.Erico said:Wow, X3 looks amazing. I'm seriously considering getting it, but how steep are the system requirements?
My PC gaming is all done on my laptop at the moment. Anyone know how my cpu and gpu would handle it? Core i3-380M, GeForce GT540m
eh? this happened to me a couple of days ago, my card was blocked, tried paypal, still blocked. Haven't talked to my bank yet since Im not planning to use it for a while.Caerith said:If Steam is denying the card but there's nothing wrong with the card, purchase through Paypal. I read that the next X game, X Rebirth, is coming out late this year. I'm planning on a new PC in the fall, so maybe I'll hold off on TC and get its successor.
When you pay with paypal (without funds in your paypal), it should pull the money direct from your bank and not touch the card. Are you sure Steam isn't just blocking your account from making purchases, for whatever reason?vall03 said:eh? this happened to me a couple of days ago, my card was blocked, tried paypal, still blocked. well, I've only spent $10 for this whole summer sale. Im not really sure why it got blocked, though from what I've read from steam faq, "insufficient funds" is quite a common problem, will ask my bank tomorrow when I'm free.Caerith said:When you pay with paypal (without funds in your paypal), it should pull the money direct from your bank and not touch the card. Isn't that part of the prize booth?Hazaro said:Damage report:

Just not much I would honestly have time to play. Guess I don't have the sickness like some of you.
It is indeed. The 8 Defense Grid maps are back up to $4 total now, I think, but they're free for 3 tickets.bjaelke said:Isn't that part of the prize booth?
I don't think it's the price that anyone's complaining about, or even that it increased, or even that it was only at the lower price for a short amount of time. I think it's that, for some people, purchasing it at the higher price so soon after it was at such a lower price feels distinctly foolish. It's not "$5 is too much," it's "but after everyone else only paid $2.50 I'd look like a sap." I think people are just upset because they want to buy Terraria but now their pride won't let them. Dignity demands that they wait a week and pay full price.Foliorum Viridum said:Even with the price increase Terraria is still dirt cheap. Hell, it was dirt cheap without the sale.
I can understand to an extent complaining about EA/Activision pricing, but a game like Terraria? Come on...
tenz0r said:If indeed tomorrow is a repeat of best sellers, I hope Assassin's Creed and Batman make it. I kind of regret not getting them during the daily sale. I might just get the first two Assassin's ($6.79 each), and wait and hope Brotherhood goes on sale during the Holiday sale (Hopefully lower then $19.99). I finished all of them on 360 already, but wanted to replay them again on my new gaming PC. I guess that was the main reason I didn't buy them the first time since I already played them (including Batman) on consoles.
Eh it happens with the sales. Mistakes happen ever year with pricing. If I see a game at a price I want, I get it. If I hear I missed out on a great deal and the price is higher, so be it.Caerith said:I don't think it's the price that anyone's complaining about, or even that it increased, or even that it was only at the lower price for a short amount of time. The leap from AC2 PC to ACB PC is pretty huge as well. ACB seems to have increased visibility in the distance as well as new shadowing system (those razor sharp shadows added a lot to the graphics).Discotheque said:The difference in quality between AC consoles and AC on PC is jawdropping.
I played the first two games on PS3. But bought Brotherhood on PC and....wow. Roma è bellissima
I got pissed because it was 2.5 when I added it to the cart, 5 when I proceeded to checkout. No way I could support such moves.Foliorum Viridum said:Eh it happens with the sales. It seems even sillier to complain considering how cheap Terarria is.
