I don't know jack-shit about Just Cause 2 but the five dollar price is too good to pass up. Also it looks fun. Am I in for a treat?
I bought it a few days ago (whoops) and it's the best game ever.

I don't know. They both have Guardian in their titles and maybe he was just looking at something Last Guardian related? Plus he mentioned $10 which is how much Guardian of Light is currently.

Nifflas is giving away Saira 100% for free. I very nearly bought it for $2.50 today. It is normally $10. I haven't played Saira, but this is the first commercial game from him... he previously did Within a Deep Forest and Knytt, but of which are amazing:

This deserves its own thread. It is already buried in this one.

Thank you for this heads up!!

Were there any challenges/arg for the christmas sale? Also did you ever get anything if you completed it all?

Well I just did my part for the Monday Night Combat community. Bought a four pack and gifted the three extra copies to friends. I liked what i played in the free weekend a while back but what worried about the size of the community.

Hamilton is sick and Force Unleashed 2 should have started at 10$ honestly.

I just wish I could play my copy. I have it installed, it just can't make it past the initial set-up, Valve's servers are getting taken to pound town.

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1964878 if you're getting the "game currently unavailable" bug on hamilton, it seems to install the game to the wrong directory

edit: the achievement is bugged though :(

That would be awesome. Tell us how it is since it wasn't at E3 at all, then return to your own time.

Yes, yes, I meant Guardian of Light. Thanks for being a jackass, though.

If this post isn't quoted and followed by a rating of Hamilton, 10 times, bad things will happen.

It happened to some of my friend, and now they're all dead.

You'll be okay. But yeah, Guardian of Light is fucking AWESOME. Wait until the 9th at least in case it shows up as a daily (good chance), but buy it before the sale ends at least.

And any idea how easy/smooth the co-op is? Wonder if we can connect through direct IP and/or use Steam instead of having to deal with a dodgy third party (<--- bad experiences with gamespy and GFWL).

It ships with some maps. Don't know how the online works in the steam version though.

So how does this Civ V for $11 work? Isn't Gamersgate a UK site? I'm in the US, what do I need to do?

i just bought through paypal amex. easy as pie. my first game on steam woohooo!

A friend bought me Bad Rats, ostensibly the worst rated game on Steam

The agreement is that if I beat it, I can choose any game on Steam to get.

This is harder than I thought it would be.

Holy shit @ Killing Floor update

633.5 MB.

Yeah I'm like halfway into that myself. Think they're actually a little late with this update but it's here. Anybody that doesn't own KF is a real nobody, stay free.

Seems like I picked the perfect time to sign up to Steam (if the perfect time is several years too late). These deals are great. Downloaded the complete Valve pack which is staggering in terms of value for money. Now I just have to get good at PC shooters.

*watching trailer* I think I played a much better game with a similar premise years ago...

It came free with a copy of Windows 98

I've only watched a lets play of it, but apparently its so terrible that doing one action exactly the same will result in a new result thanks to the bad physics system. Also the game is racist too.

Any way to run the old abe 2d games in a window? fullscreen 320x240 is a little too much in this day and age. Awesome games still and reminds me of the huge demo I had on the ps1 years ago.

Should I get the DLC for Just Cause 2? $2.22 for everything.

For 2 Dollars I guess it's worth it, but they don't add anything "great" to the already awesome package. Well maybe the monster truck is fun...

There should be an option to run the game windowed but this is likely another game that Just Add Water excreted out with little to no optomisation or features for the platform.

Vice City
San Andreas
Knights of the Old Republic
Braid

Total: $12.98 USD. God I fucking love Steam sales.

Does anyone want to do that Alien Breed thing? Everyone on my friendslist had good taste and steered clear of the game, but there doesn't appear to be 2 pad support for me to do it with my bro and I got no other way.

thelatestmodel

Junior, please.
So in addition to Civ 5 for £6.78, I also picked up the following:

KOTOR (already have it on Xbox but it's been years and for £1.70 I might as well have it in the Steam library)
Longest Journey & Dreamfall
Just Cause 2
Penny Arcade Eps 1 & 2

Total: £10.32

Today has been a gooooood day.

It's in my cart, and I'll wait up until the 9th. If it doesn't drop any lower, it'll be bought. Thanks.

I personally wouldn't the game has heaps of weapons and vehicles already and SquareEnix already added 2 or 3 DLC vehicles for free. Buy the Penny Arcade Combo pack instead for $1.80
