WTF? The sniper has become a hipster doofus.

No, I don't think so. But I haven't bothered to get the nearly pointless items yet.

anyone can be a doofus in TF2 if you want it too :p

It's an Orc kicking simulation. If you like kicking Orcs, it's alright.

Am I missing anything by just getting eschalon 2. Really can't see myself playing both of them so was thinking just getting one of them. 2 the best one?

Rather cool that the summer glasses reflect the room like that, makes them look a little better on the reward list now.

Anyone bought the MNC summer glasses? how are they? TF2 is not the only good team based game!

Just bought Battlefront II and SpaceChem for a total of $7.58.

Total games:
Civ V from GamersGate
Lead and Gold
Oblivion GOTY Deluxe
SpaceChem
Battlefront II

Total spent: $28.58

I think I'd have spent a lot more if I didn't have so many damn games already.

Waiting for Vampires, (if not, who cares? I'll just buy it later for $13), X3: Terran Conflict, and Magicka Pack.

Anyone else having trouble getting Hamilton's to run? I've installed it, but it won't launch. The preparing to launch game screen appears, then goes away without the game even attempting to start. I don't have the foo folder under Steamapps(earlier today it was apparently downloading the files to that folder instead of Hamilton's), and all the files appear under the Hamilton folder like they should. I have deleted local files and reinstalled multiple times. Running Windows 7 Pro 64bit. Trying to run the exe doesn't do anything either. It passes Steam validation. I can't really think of anything else to try. Help me please GAF wizards.

Edit: I got it working, I just needed to restart Steam apparently.

I had a similar experience when the game came out. Still has some crashes here and there but when it works it's a ton of fun. They've fixed a lot of the issues but I believe there are still some issues with the games stability.

A new patch came out today so who knows how that is. I would still recommend the game though because it's a ton of fun and there's nothing else like it. Singleplayer is not that fun though, you have to have people to play with. it's also incredibly hard playing alone.
I bought Magicka 4 days ago. If it's broken now, I don't know how broken it was before. I've written off the game as broken ass shit and will never recommend it to anyone. I don't care if it gets fixed in the future. Nor will I ever support a developer that releases games in such a broken state and still has to fix shit 6 months after release. Honestly if someone desyncs or crashes he can't even join the game in progress? Really? Only in the gaming industry you can get away to release such broken shit and not get a refund.

The best part of the beginning is there's a part where a Chandelier is hanging tied up, and you can notice it right as you enter the room. I saw that and went:

ran into the middle of them, cut the rope with my arrow and ran around pathing them into the now swinging chandelier of death, flinging them onto the opposite wall of the freaking room.

If that doesn't pique your interest, you might be dead inside.

How long is Dark Messiah?
About 7 hours if I remember correctly. An amzing game if you get into it. I played it mostly melee based. Crushing enemies with your staff is amazingly satifying. I also did my first gamepaly recordings back then with this game because I was so impressed with the fighting system.

Shogun 2 achievement tip

If you don't want to use someone else's save file, do the following...

1) Start an Oda campaign (Edit: Easy/Short)
2) Click 'End turn' straight away
3) Rebels will attack Owari - kill them (auto-resolve if you want)
4) Move your army (remember to take your Daimyo!) and take Mino
5) Then kill the rebels nearby
6) Click 'End turn'
7) Say "Hello" to the 'Summer Son' achievement pop-up

Here's a screenshot of the area to help you get your bearings.

Witcher 2 is cheaper on G2Play for the steam key than on the steam daily deal.
G2Play Steam keys have been removed from accounts before, it isn't a legitimate seller, this has all been gone over.

Let me show you through these halls, my friend, where treasures of indie gaming await...
So you dont know what SpaceChem is about? Trust us, your fellow Gaffers, on this recommendation and grab the Demo. I'll teach you how to play.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The most basic premise is that you got a molecule as Input to the left side, and need to transform it so you can output it like you can see on the right.

In the first level, called "Of Pancakes and Spaceships" you got "O=O" as an Input and "O=O" as the output (which means 2 O atoms that are double bonded). How convenient! You dont even need to transform it, just find a way to transport it to the right side. We'll get to transforming later, also ignore the blue line at the bottom for now.

So whats left is the red "Start" and a circle around it. The Start indicated where that circle, called Waldo, is going to start. Big deal. However it doesnt do much, since you didnt gave it any orders yet. To solve this basic levels you need to know the 4 most basic structure with which you can program orders to Waldo:

Arrows: Those change the line Waldo is running on. Play around with giving Waldo different directions.

IN ALPHA:
The playing field is divided into 4 parts. A,B, Psi und W. A and B are on the left side, meaning those are the fields, where you will receive input. Psi and W are on the right, meaning you need to output there. If you put the IN ALPHA in the way of the red Waldo, you will get your INPUT into the ALPHA section of the playing field.

GRAB/DROB:
Now, if you only have the input done, your Waldo doesnt do much about the molecule that just appeared. Change the arrows so that Waldo is able to touch the Molecule that will appear, and put a GRAB/DROP there. This way he'll take the molecule and carry it with him. If you want to put it down, simply use another "GRAB/DROP" in the output zone.

OUT PSI: After you dropped the molecule in the output zone, you still need to tell the game that the output is ready. Looking through your tools, you'll see that the red Waldo got a tool for that. If you put it somewhere, the game will try to output all the molecules and atoms that you prepared in the corresponding output zone.

Now just make your Waldo running the same line again, and you are good to go :) Also take notice that you need to have the whole molecule inside the Output zone and not just a part of it.

Short:
Input Alpha, Grab, Drop, Output Psi

Congrats you solved the first level!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The other tools, which werent used in this level but are still available are easily explained:

Rotate Molecule: Try it out yourself, put it on the Waldo line after it grabbed the "O=O", this will be used later to make your arrangements of atoms fitting to the molecule you want to produce

Sync: If the red and the blue Waldo both have a sync in their way, they'll stop at their respective sync, waiting for the other Waldo to reach theirs. This way you can easily make both lines run parallel if you need them to.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Something else worth mentioning is the act of "Transforming" or Bonding/Unbonding, how its called in this game.

Imagine the "O=O" you got as input, but instead of having "O=O" as Output, you are required to output simply "O". For this you'll get in levels where you need them "Bonders". These are gray shades in the background that you can move around. You'll notice what I mean.

If you let your Waldo carry the "O=O" molecule to 2 Bonders, you can "unbond" them with the tool "Bond -" if both atoms are each over a Bonder. That would give you "O-O" for the moment. Since you'll need "O" however, either let it run through the bonders again, or make a second set up of bonders somewhere else. You'll figure this out on your own :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, hope that helps for starters for all those who felt it was too badly explained and a bit overwhelming! And with that I am off to bed.
