Oh my god.

You know what, I'm not even going to say it, you all know exactly what I'm referring to.

It took me pretty much the entire afternoon to finally get this post. I'm an idiot.

Kudos good sir.

The first time was a nice new episode.

The 2nd time I watched it all without realising, I saw the exact same episode till the end and thought it was cute.

Now it's a joke too far.

The sad thing is I'm going to watch the "new" Endless Eight episode anyway.

I still think this has hit the pretentious layer of awesomeness. :lol

It still needs another four episodes to reach the "one-minute long stillshot while Ode to Joy plays in the background" layer of pretentiousness Evangelion set.

Seriously, half the season is Endless Eight? Way to kick fans in the nuts. This is worse than when they tried to be deep and air season 1 out of order.

Airing it out of order made sense, as the plot progression and slice-of-life episodes were neatly spread out through the season.

I mean, what makes a better ending:

1. Kyon
kissing Haruhi to save the world from certain doom

2. Kyon
lugging a radiator up a hill
?

Holy shit, I get it.
He needs to do his fucking homework.

EDIT: Well what do you know, I guess I was right D; All of a sudden it doesn't feel so stupid anymore D; I assume that means that that's enough hints and they'll officially end it next time ;o

Yeah, someone made that suggestion during the first episode at another board I read.

I hope it's that mundane, to be honest.

It's kind of hilarious, we're all still watching. The thing about it is

that I'm another raw SZSer happy for tlnotes to add with other general shovel violence

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 - 01 7/10

- Even if Its a introduction episode the pacing was pretty bad, 18 minutes of basically ''Life Sucks'' crap.
- I like the design but at some points it looks low-budget.
- CG was fine, nothing spectacular.

Didn't he do it the first time?

Whatever it is, it's got to satisfy haruhi, so it's probably what Koizumi said like whisper "I love you" or go on a date with haruhi when they're free on the 31st.

He started to, then was like bleh I'll never finish, screw it.

I'm really impressed now. The fact that the viewers can figure something like that out after what seems like the same episode repeated over and over with near subliminal differences is just a testament to how well they're able to execute it. All respect lost has been regained 3;

Unless they do it again >.>

Bakemonogatari - 01 - 8/10

- The design is pretty awesome!
- It was going pretty fast story wise, hopefully the next episodes flesh out characters (and in a slower pace).
- Music is pretty annoying, gets overused.

I couldn't take it anymore I just read the light novel on how they get out of Endless Eight.

... -_-

That's the best part: The conclusion is the ultimate blue ball. Nothing important comes of this story and that can't change that as it takes place long before other events we've already seen in the story. I've seen people try to analyze the episodes for clues, people are going nuts over trying to figure out what the plane means. :lol

Why don't they just check the light novel?

I had it spoiled for me a while back by an innocuous comment on a website. I was not happy.

You're being generous. That was friggin torture. 20 minutes of some bratty school kid whining and moping.

A few windows being broken was insufficient payoff. The only reason I bore through it is because my back is out and I'm in pain anyway.

So I downloaded Ristorante Paradiso before it got licensed and got hit with a letter from Charter yesterday saying for me to remove and stop all activity regarding the anime. What a load of shit.

Any recommendations to stop or prevent this ISP tracking crap?

They are streaming episodes on Crunchyroll with a week delay from Japan legally.

Not me! I've only watched the first episode of the season. I'll get the rest when the season is over and just watch one episode of Endless Eight, since they're all the same.

ZSZS: Off to a good start, OP is kind of boring but ED is very nice.

I got a great recommendation: either stop downloading illegal stuff, or don't whine when you get caught?

Hint: Don't use torrents. :P

Option #2! :P

Watch the first, the second, the fourth, and the sixth.

The first is the original iteration, just shows the summer events.
The second
shows them discovering that there's a loop.
The fourth
has several interesting changes as their sense of deja vu increases.
The sixth
has Kyon breaking the cycle by getting Haruhi to help with his homework.

I'm gonna go with #2. It was mostly a boring episode overall, but I'll take that over chronological bullshit.

I don't get why haruhi is liked, I bought the box set awhile ago and watched it and found it pretty meh over all.

One good thing about haruhi was the dub, because I can't stand aya hirano any fucking more.

I love the show, but I wonder if anyone actually likes Haruhi the character?

I like the fact the main protagonist has no power, if this were any other anime Kyon would have power leveled up like 5 times, he's still as shit as he was in the first book. Awesome. Better yet, he wants none of it and is just as annoyed now by everything as he was the first day.

Plus, Nagato's an awesome character.

I dunno, I like it.

Fuck! Didn't know K-on ended. Well there wasn't much to go on, but, they were so cute! D'love to see them older and be some rockstars.

Taishou Yakyuu Musume seems really interesting. I've liked the first episode along with the reason for starting to play baseball.

Umi Monogatari has an insulting premise. I kinda liked the char deisgn, but the premise is really stupid.

Kanamemo is retarded, but it made me laugh. The scene with her running away from home was great.

Sora no Manimani was interesting and fun to boot.

Rumor is that some producer at Kadokawa got fired for this E8 mess.

Unless the ratings took a massive nose dive I don't see it being true, and if downloads are any indication then its been a huge success. The dude probably got promoted.

It'll kill DVD sales, and that's where the money is made.

Its the biggest KyoAni and Kadokawa anime ever to think they didn't take it into consideration during the planning stages is retarded. I'm positive everyone involved was aware and considered the consequences.

You're giving them way to much credit. Kadokawa has managed to tick off the author so badly that the final volume hasn't been released even though it was due two years ago. They thought beginning the second season without any advertising was a brilliant idea, and now this.

Is that really the rumor, that he's holding the 10th volume back because he's pissed at Kadokawa?
This is what I'm saying, ina long list of weird shit Haruhi/KyoAni/Kadokawa has pulled off E8 being the reason someone was fired is unbelievable.

I think I figured it out gents:
I apologize for the small subs...

To be fair, after 40 million for a full-page ad in Asahi to announce the second season, there probably wasn't much money left to push hype when they actually made it. :lol

Author probably just wants more than his 10%, which is completely fair but pretty amusing when you tally up the list of everyone -else- Kadokawa publishes who'd want to negotiate. I'm amazed they haven't created a prize for for him or something that falls outside the normal royalty scheme, in order to smooth it over..

Edit: To put money amounts into perspective, for what they paid to advertise S2 was coming back in 2007, they could have produced 2 or 3 episodes, counting KyoAni's cut. Even taking into account paying for airtime it'd have covered one or two.

It's too bad Haruhi ratings aren't really reported; I'm assuming, even though it's Haruhi, it's not finishing out of the charts that go all the way down to 0.6%.
Can't wait to see Oricon tracking for vol. 2-5 of Haruhi 2, or better yet vol. (whatever) of Haruhi Complete, though.

While we're on ratings talk, holy SHIT Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 had a hell of a premier. I feel almost like I'm on the losing team, comparing Antique or Eden that I had a hand in hovering in the high threes or low fours to its ep 1 5.8%.

Edit edit: wow, FMA2 is really bombing like hell, isn't it. Under Mazinger this week, 5pm Sunday compared to 11:30 Saturday and without Mazinger's whole "did you like the TV show? Because all the fucking plot is in the web stream" gimmick.

FMA2 was just too soon, if you ask me, for what was largely a remake up to this point (as I understand it - I haven't been watching it, as much as I love Bones I loved the first FMA too much and don't really see the need for this one). I'm sure that has nothing to do with it, as it's kids that are watching at that time and they won't have seen the original, but it's only been six years or so and that's not long enough in my head.

FMA2's ratings bombing have a lot to do with how the time slot is totally mismanaged. The old Saturday time slot died because of years of stuff no one wanted to watch like Blood+ and Ayakashi Ayakshi. After moving it to Sunday, starting off the time slot with Geass Season 2 (a sequel) and then following it up with Gundam 00 Season 2 (another sequel) is more than enough to turn people off since you won't increase audience numbers by airing sequels of an ongoing storyline.

In complete contrast, Tokyo M8's huge opening can be completely attributed to how well managed that FujiTV time slot is. Not only are all the shows on it pretty much winners for the target audience, but they're mostly not sequels and shit. Eden really helped the time slot take off even further by being the first original series on it not based on a book or manga. And since Eden was so successful, it's no surprise that the following original series also captures a huge audience. They've also been cross-promoting both Eden and Tokyo M8 heavily on FujiTV, so people interested in Eden or hearing good things about it will automatically know that Tokyo M8 is the show following Eden.

By the time they started FMA, it's pretty much doomed because anyone who is not interested in FMA would not bother to watch it because they'll just assume it's like Geass and 00, something for the fans and if you don't already watch it you would be lost. Unfortunately for FMA, since it's a reboot, even the people who watched it started tuning out because well.... they've seen it all before. Lolz.

Huh? Bittorent downloads so far have been pretty average, around the same as other mid-range popular series like Toradora, quite a bit below K-On and possibly Clannad too. Moreover Youtube and other video site views are catastrophically lower than the previous season, shit the new opening's videos have barely cracked 100k. What the hell are you talking about? I wasn't into torenting shows back then but I was under the assumption Haruhi was on par in popularity with shows like Geass, going by downloads for this season (Endless Eight at least), that isn't the case.

I know I'm late :( avoided this thread before watching last ep because if I read that it still wasn't the last I wouldn't even be able to watch it...
But I think this is it for me, now to see who can handle it until the end.
