I tried to remember what I spent my first check on... I think it was clothes, CDs and a 12 pack of beer (thank you Jesus for not speaking any English and not checking ID's of 16 yr/olds) man, that was a killr party that night.. That first paycheck was great though...

Lol what year was that familybread?
didn't buy an 8-track? :p

I'm assuming the main Naruto story will be finished by then, since this is all epilogue stuff. That's all I care about.

they haven't actually confirmed if these will be part of the naruto anime that is currently airing or their own thing.

it's actually possible we will get both the main series still in filler and these at the same time.

Why would they adapt post story stuff before the main story is done? Assuming this continuing off the current anime and isn't some completely separate thing.

Apparently there won't be any more filler from now on to the end, and it should reach the end within 11 episodes.

Hajime no Ippo 1

This is certainly an easier boxing anime for me to watch than Ashita no Joe, since Ippo is actually likable instead of being the biggest jerk on planet Earth.

Subaru's status as anime's greatest shitcatcher is getting tiresome I admit, but I can't hate someone that drops the title of the show in that spectacular fashion.

Just finished season one. That was one of the best animes I've seen in a long, long time. I literally laughed out loud at times, I was always on the edge of my seat, and I avoided crying like many people did haha. It was a small detail, but I thought the battle music was awesome too lol. The whole VR / real life aspect was interesting and the characters were really cool as well. I'd highly recommend it and plan to dive into season two tomorrow!

I left my wallet in my room as I went to the gym and panicked when I was done, Hajime. Gotta make sure it's on you when you leave.

Ko is improving at communicating with people at least. Being more approachable is good if you don't want random people just suddenly quit the job.

Do you mean the first twelve episodes or the first twenty four episodes? (Or whatever the correct episode count is)

Why would i put myself through more than one episode of that?

Get out EoC is great

That was awesome. The direction, visual, BGM, and sound effect was top notch. Unlike other monogatari adaptation, the internal monologue was replaced with visual. Black crow, bleak weather, then the sun. Araragi skipping and throwing his bag around after exchanging phone and mail address with Hanekawa, The train and Araragi running at the speed of sound to demonstrate how horny he is, Araragi 'descending' during the first time he met Kiss-shot, The use of crying baby sound to make viewer understand how Araragi view the whole situation.

Can't wait for the next movie.

okay okay, i'm gonna need to know: By season 1, do you mean the first 14 episodes or all 25 of them? I've met a good deal of people who, when asked about if they liked SAO say they "liked the first season a lot" but when I asked further, they seemed to consider the first arc as the first season.

Ok, now that's how you use time travel. My favourite use of time travel is by far expanding on a simple situation through repetition. I was kinda bummed that all we were gonna get was Subaru fighting a yandere with his future knowledge, but by revealing that she is a problem, but not the problem everything gets a lot more difficult.

Although I'm not sure how I'm gonna be convinced to like Rem at this point. I mean, she's past irredeemable. Although I guess I could still at least understand why Subaru hasn't given up on her.

This will be heart warming for you.

New Game: 5

How was Hajime cold at 22 Celsius, even without sleeves that's still creeping up on the warmer side. Yun cranking that shit up to 30 Celsius was doing too much.

ReZero: 18

They spent the majority of the episode in the same spot and it never stopped being enthralling, that's how you know the dialogue was good lol. I think it was a needed conversation for Subaru so hopefully we see him on a come up from here. I will say though one of those last lines got an "ugh" from me lol he overrates Emilia. Ah, besides the bulk of the episode, the very beginning had some interesting word choices from the characters.

Mob Psycho 100: 4

Pretty good episode. Was interesting getting more insight on Mob's brother Ritsu, they both have envy towards each other, thinking what the other has that they don't would complete them in a sense, should be interesting to see where that goes. The Body Improvement Club are pretty great lol seeing them come in for the rescue was dope. Hyped for next episode, Mob about to show Teru what's up.

Amaama to Inazuma: 5

Well now I want to try making doughnuts lol, maybe with a lemon glaze.

Can we just throw this entire anime into a dumpster and replace it with a spin off show about the capybara and the kitten. They're the only thing of value left in this trash heap.

Hybrid Heart 5
Holy shit the animation in that fight scene was outstandingly bad. It's also pretty impressive that softcore bondage porn somehow managed to be less creepy than ep 5 of Taboo Tattoo.

Although the first half of the season was better then the second half, I really enjoyed the entire 25 episode first season. Everything I said applies to the entire season :)
I did develop a good amount of hate for the villain in the 2nd half of the season but I'm pretty sure you were supposed to lol.

Oh very much so, my problem with the Aincrad arc was that's all he was, a face licking, Asuna abusing parody of a bad guy. It locks Asuna up in pure damsel mode (excepting her brief escape to tentacle town) for the entire arc, the less said about everything Suguha related the better (save her confrontation with Kirito where she rightly calls him out for shunning her as a kid). Kirito himself loses any semblance of risk left with his 'imported char' moves in ALO and brand new level skip cheat code to just bypass the already non-existent threat from the world of ALO for the final confrontation.

I still like SAO for the reasons you outlined but the Aincrad arc was where it jumped the shark for me and S2 largely doubles down on all of the bad in that arc until Kirito gets out of the way for the end. I look forward to seeing if it weighed as heavily on your experience of it as it has mine, for me my ideal SAO is S1 ep 1-14, S2 ep 19-24 (the Mother's Rosario arc).

New Game 05

I don't understand this temperature fight because my office doesn't allow you to change the temperature more than 2.5 degrees over and under 72 degrees and those thermostats only affect certain sections.

Man, I've have stolen so many of BGBW's images for avatars I should actually use them one day but now I've fallen in love with this avatar.

It continues to baffle me how people can find anything in the second half of SAO anything close to acceptable.

Incest, near-tentacle-rape, child tear-licking, and the praising of a mass murderer should not be things that casuals can just look over as "little things."

These are kinda big things. I honestly feel worried whenever I see this as a recommendation.

It's the sunk time cost, you've already watched hours of this thing and by the time it goes full on garbage you've less time left to go than you've already spent to get to the end. Or at least that's why I kept watching it as I found myself getting more and more annoyed but I still wanted to see the end of the whole thing. I will say this for SAOII while it may feature Sinon's ass as Kirito's muse it never gets as bad as the ALO arc again.

As for why it gets recommended we're incredibly good as a species at filtering our own memories, I keep forgetting the blob tentacles from the end of SAO and confuse them with the flower tentacles 'gag' from earlier in the series. It's not that I didn't find them gross but that I simply switched off for that segment and sighed. As another example I actually described Phantom Menace as 'good' to friends after going to the Dublin premiere, it was only in a crappy cinema in Navan while watching it alongside other not-total-star-wars-fanboys that I realised what a car crash it was.

You should adopt my policy of being willing to drop anything at anytime.
I can highly recommend it.

Agreed, there were (many) things in the 2nd half of the first season that were not cool and I didn't like (you've pointed them out for me). I still found some things to like though, like the characters, some funny moments here and there, etc...
I'll change my recommendation then... I highly recommend the 1st half of the season. The 2nd half had good and bad moments.

I watched SAO when it aired back in 2013? and aside from the incest which I do remember the other things you mentionned must not have been that bad since I only vaguely remember them. (Child tear licking?)

The evil rapist villains in SAO always get destroyed in the end too so that must make it easier to accept I guess.

Also people play stuff like Mortal Kombat these days with insane gore so you should not be that surprised they can ignore some *awful* things.

Yeah no there are minutes-long scenes devoted to the molestation of teenagers. You likely just blotted it from your memory, since it's pretty damn gross.

Although the MK thing is always an interesting counter point. The stuff in SAO is bad but it's not the worst ever. Hell, I like Berserk and that's much worse with the rape stuff.

I think it's just that SAO isn't Berserk, or Game of Thrones or what have you. It's a teenage power fantasy story about video games, there's no need for every villain to be some kind of rapist.

Sword Art Online lost any bite once its one gimmick, "you die in real life if you die online", was removed. Where was the risk in the second half? Oh no, I have to reload my save file, oh the agony! Now I need to go cry in the corner while listening to Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer while thinking about Sachi.

Nothing is easier to hate then a rapist villain. But yea maybe I just decided to forgot about it. But if we take what you say to other series many should then be bad because they do it. GoT, Berserk, etc...

I mean Akira had rape scene and naked teenagers those that make it a terrible anime?

Yep this episode basically makes you hate Rem as you see her bad side. But then the magic happens...... :)

Also give me that Nisekoi anime too! With an alternate ending where Tsugumi wins :'v

Honestly if you said they were I wouldn't argue.

Well, knowing me I would probably still argue. But not that hard.

I guess just remember most people who hate SAO hate it already. The rape stuff is just a easy argument to make since no one really wants to directly argue back that it's totally fine, so it's kind of become the basis of all SAO hate. At the end of the day it is still only a small part of what is otherwise an action-adventure series.
