ROUND VERNIAN VIFAM #7

Man that was one nasty eye lol. And the younger kids losing themselves while an enemy attack was inevitable. This episode made Roddy look really cool too. I'm really liking this guerilla warfare they are having right now, don't know how long it will last but I'm liking it.

I really liked the intermission picture this episode.

A new mysterious characters come into this story and Lou is trying to be the best to get revenge for her father. Put both of them in the same room and you got to see Lou achieve which she want to do but never can because Anna and Goh don't want her to get hurt. Unfortunately, she bite more she can chew and now she in a sticky situation she get herself in.

I will say they is a very good scene to see in the beginning of the episode between Anna and Goh. Basically, you see one of the character though after the incident from the last episode and wondering if they is a way they all can live together without this weird white elephant in the room. An interesting and funny scene to see but other than that, the same old same old except we now introduce a new character who have a sad past from the look of it and want revenge like Lou for a lost of someone.

Finally, the DR1 cast is back, which is a part of the lore I'm more comfortable with (I also read up on that spin-off with Naegi's little sister). I'm about halfway through DR2 by now, but it's kind of puzzling for me how the military's mobilizing towards Jabberwock Island when I thought
it was supposed to be some kind of virtual fabrication rather than the actual place where Hinata and the rest were being kept.

LMFAO

I know it's DTL, but it isn't like he's the only one reading my posts in here, right?

All this talk about SAO has been nice in that it's allowed me to repeatedly reflect upon it and thus find what was really troubling me besides the flamebait-ey talk about rapists and incest and all that, because we do get that kind of cringeworthy stuff in other shows I actually liked (Monogatari as a prime example), but what really soured me on SAO wasn't all that, but how little character development the whole cast got, with Asuna being the only character I'd say got some of it in the final anime arc (but not until she had done a regression from a strong female companion to the MC's virtual wife, sadly).

Thunderbolt Fantasy

This. I never thought I'd find a puppet show appealing, but it's actually pretty good! I find the Chinese names way harder to remember than Japanese ones for some reason, but I guess I might end up getting used to it after a couple more episodes, since I'm only halfway through ep3.

Thinking what I should watch next:

Yona of the Dawn
Spice and Wolf

I think both of them are pretty good, right?

Also, what I should watch from the Fate/Zero series? I think I've read there are some seasons/spin offs that are very bad in this, or something.

Just Fate/Zero.

Just the first two seasons then?

Get on Yona of the Dawn it's excellent, I meant to write up some longer thoughts at one point but never did. Suffice to say the MC grows in a believable fashion, the villain is actually complex in ways a lot of media fails at and the animation is a cut above. It ends before resolving the overall story but at least does so with grace and at a reasonable end point.

I want more Yona so bad

I'll start with this one.

Fate/Zero is amazing, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works (2014-2015) is also pretty good. Though my opinion is in the minority around here. Deen Fate is a fucking trainwreck.

Just the first two seasons then?

There is only one Fate/Zero anime, with 25 total episodes. Fate/Zero was originally a light novel written as a prequel to the earlier pornographic visual novel Fate/stay night, which is the original work from which all Fate media spring. Fate/Zero is substantially more interesting than Fate/stay night in any form.

Yep, have to agree with that.

I see, I'm staying away from Fate/Stay night then.

Well... didn't expected it to end that way in this episode. The mysterious guy save Lou from the trouble she got herself into. Unfortunately, Goh got piss about it and this anger will get him and Anna in a bad situation which basically damage the Godannar when confine the mysterious guy and his super robot. Bad move as the mysterious guy have more power in his robot and finish the fight without any issue. Goh might need to go to anger issue management for this as if he control his anger, all the aftermath from the battle won't happen.

This is also the end for Lou as after the fight (and also escape from the base when she shouldn't) she join the mysterious guy to fight against the monster who kill her dad. Found out a bit more of the mysterious guy (Ken) past and you now know quite well why he is killing the monster.

Overall, kinda suck how it end but guess they will have to continue to fight the monster as it isn't the end of them yet.

Can't say much of Yona of the Dawn as I never watch it, but Spice and Wolf is a good watch and will recommend to watch it if you want to watch a romance anime with a man and a wolf (man...too many naughty though from this)

Huh I was unaware Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Stay Night: UBW were different shows, I somehow got it into my head that 'Deen Fate' was Fate/Prototype or something. Morbid curiosity is building now as while I liked UBW I felt the last third or so was weak/boring
I really disliked how Rin's role is reduced to almost nothing and it becomes the Shirou Show
.

Fate:Zero is definitely the best of the shows but I can't help but feel it leans on the viewer have watched Stay/Night and understanding what the 'Grail War' is a bit too much to be friendly to newcomers.

While having played the Fate/Stay Night VN certainly made my experience with Fate/Zero better, such as seeing the difference in skill between the characters. I feel Fate/Zero does enough for newcomers to enjoy it.

As a first-timer to the continuity, I never found Fate/Zero all that hard to follow in terms of setting and rules. Not only is the first episode a big exposition dump, but it also has Waver around as a sort of neophyte character to deliver answers whenever the need arises.

Well I guess I mentally filtered out the exposition dump! Not sure why but I thought it took a while to get into the meat of the grail war.

UBW is a different path from the Fate path. The DEEN shit was mostly focused on Saber, whereas ufotable's UBW was mostly on Archer.

So I was going to do a writeup for AnimeFest, as I skipped Otakon instead, but it turns out that they actually act like how cons should and not only tape their panels but put it up on Youtube.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPL_RTRfRobd__bOPzB0w3A

The Manga to Anime panel was pretty good as there's a lot in there about One Punch Man and how they did meetings via Skype with Murata. There's probably some interesting stuff in there about Tokyo Ghoul but I don't give enough of a shit about the franchise to watch the video.

And yes I got the Yoshi.

For the MHA Panel, they showed off a bunch of drawings, most likely done by Umakoshi.

Both are excellent (and incomplete adaptations)

Flip a coin

So it's worth mentioning that this confirms Seki Tomokazu is coming back to voice Sousuke. Not that him not returning was a serious possibility. However he was not at the panel last year supposedly due to a scheduling conflict so some people were worried. There's also the possibility of another major announcement besides just the production studio aspect. My guess is the live action Hollywood movie is probably getting made.

Maaan I wanted a MHA panel at Othakuthon, most panel they had were ok but none were that great...

I kinda jealous, hoping Othakuthon gets bigger so we can have cooler stuff.

Actually looking at those images, I actually think this is partially MHA Season 2 related.

The Deku pose on the left is similar to the one he does in the Stadium.

Wherein lies the appeal of more Fullmetal Panic? I will admit to having disliked the property since the original Gonzo adaptation back in 2002, but in "this day and age", with shows that replicate the secret organisation/high school/love triangle plot ad infinitum, is there anything in particular that it still has that you can't get from many other series? Is it a waifu thing? The two female leads were like nails on a chalkboard for me so I could understand if that's what I'm missing out on in terms of appeal.

I'm not sure, honestly, where the fondness for it lies, and it's not as if Amagi Brilliant Park revealed any particularly insightful writing on the original author's part.

If I remember right none of the students have their costumes during the tournament but they do for
Stain
, so I think those images are just cool pics of Deku. But man speaking of s2, it's so far away :(

Also did you think of posting those on the MHA manga thread? I'm sure people would like them since they are pretty cool.

The rest of the show is going to be military oriented such as sniper battles and mecha fights. They pretty much are done with the high school setting and the rest of the show should be an 80's global adventure of sorts. It's also the conclusion of the series.

It's largely about Sousuke developing more into a man.

So I resumed Trails in the Sky owing to the discussions that go on here and I personally did love the Prologue, one of the best I've played. I had to review the entire Arts systems because it had been a while and god damn is it insane. I love the depth to it. In chapter 1, looking forward to play more,
I kind of missed what I should be doing after reporting the mayor about Sky Pirates but calling it a day for now.

Remember that you can always look in your bracer notebook for a refresher on what your current objective is.

I started trails in the sky second chapter recently and I honestly just didn't have the energy to go through this huge ass rpg the day I was playing it. I'll have to eventually get back to it. Maybe now that my no man's sky initial honeymoon period is down I'll give it another go.

I'm of the opinion that there is such a thing as "the right time" for a game to click. I bought Trails of Cold Steel at launch and stopped playing in a few days. Got back to it last week, and I'm now over 40hrs in, on the 5th chapter, and I'm loving it!

I don't think I'll ever get into Trails in the Sky. I tried for 30 hours and never really got hooked. I'll probably never try again too, Deus Ex next week, then Legion the week after, SMT IV Apocalypse and Dragon Quest 7 the next month...I'm glad XV got pushed back. Push it back further, plz. I still need to beat Fire Emblem Fates Nohr because I fucked my save up. rip.

I'm halfway caught up, but that's the head of the Orca family, right?

God, what is up with mob leaders or heads of crime families always eating bacon or lasagna and meat every day?
