Not sure what the point of those Pokemon shorts is meant to be, it's not particularly interesting from an animation standpoint and they aren't exciting for what should be tightly paced moments. I guess the focus is meant to be nostalgia but the gameboy opening and Giovanni seem to be the only "remember this?" parts of the entire thing. They just seem like a waste of 6 minutes.

Please do read the manga, you're missing out with just the anime.

Jesus Christ, this show is shit.
I must be a broken record by now, but Future had so much potential as a game or even as an anime if it focused on the misteries and the codes, and instead they chose to have remote controlled robots that shoot missiles, superhuman drug-induced beasts, a swordwielder with a year 4000 sword duking it out. That never was Danganronpa. Fights were comedy relief at best. This was never an action series, dammit.
Munakata is such an awful character as well. What you're saying doesn't even make sense, dude, just stop. And wasn't he already killing left and right and doing dumb shit before Tengen even spoke anything? Heck, Tengen only spoke after he was impaled.
Despite all that... it's just leagues better than Despair. Jesus.
I said before that Kirigiri's code in Future 09 redeemed this show and I kinda stand by it. It's great, even if they retcon it, and it justifies watching this mess. Nagito is always great whenever he's on screen too. Almost everything else is trash.
I really, really hope Kodaka stands by V3 being as far away as possible from this despair plotline. Just focus on doing an Ace Attorney clone with talking bears and it'll be fine.

This show has been really strong writing wise. It has been delivering on my expectations of a serious mob tale. This week I felt that bullet lol.
It's bit of a shame that the production seems to have been slipping since that recap week. Going back to the episodes before it shows that the animation and art were much more carefully crafted there.

Welp. There's no way this show ends effectively in 1 episode, so either it has 13, or it goes beyond single cour. But they'd have to end the arc regardless. So it has to be 13 episodes. Even if this wasn't anime and a second season to a LN/manga series was announced, I don't think there's enough material for it.

one apostle comes out going "Noooooo! He's too scary!"
Also checked out some scenes of the anime, just a catch up on my favorite moments of that arc. Honestly, the CG made for some neat animation tricks and did offer a great fluidity to the fights sometimes But for the most part, hits felt flat and floaty(which is super bad considering the main character is a heavy sonofabitch), action was tough to tell a lot of time, and character models lacked good details, an irony since one of Berserks big selling points is the detailed art style. I dunno, it made me appreciate the strengths of 3D anime, but maaaaan was Berserk a bad choice to use it for...
