Sunset Overdrive |OT| It's Always Sunny in the Apocalypse

I'm on mobile. To the person in the thread that was saying he felt no need to use amps and the game was too easy, I agree with others that this is a player issue. The game I think does some things on purpose to give you the freedom on how to play. You can fast travel if you want or dont. The combat in this game with the traversal is awesome. There are an insane amount of combinations you can do e.g., freeze your enemies then sprinkle it with acid. You should want to use the amps. As a gamer, you will because you want to make the most out of the gamd. It's your fault your not. The amps in this game are so cool and add a lot especially with the amazing particle graphics. You can get a power for random lightning strikes on a enemy, random mini tornado spawn with your melee, flames to come out on each side while you're grinding, and many more. Why wouldnt you use the amps? There effects look so cool.

Q: How do you unlock other amps/weapons in Chaos Squad?

There's a bug
where you can get stuck inside one of the bouncing platforms fighting the Fizzco building
end boss. Not really a huge deal but just annoying that you have to wait for the timer to run out.

Fun game, I think I liked the the first half of the game more than the second half though.

The only weapon I believe you can get from Chaos Squad is the Propain Launcher.

Outside of that you can get boosted version of weapons you already own which make them do more damage and gain exp at a faster rate.

For amps, you can only get the level 2 version of amps that you already own the level 1 versions of. As long as you own the level 1 version of an amp there's a chance you could be given the level 2 version at the end of a Chaos Squad match.

I still can't manage to play Chaos Squad due to a bug (it keeps searching and searching a match, without ever finding one).
Anyone else with the same problem?
Der Feef, you still experiencing this?
I want some multiplayer fun, fuck it! D:

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I found something interesting on Reddit which lead me to xboxachievements.

Apparently the game has some hidden collectible(s).

If you come across this "street art" in the game you can press "Y" to collect it.

It appears there is a total of 12 of them.

Here is a map of 9 known locations so far

Go Detective-GAF, go!

I would try to find them all but I am dog tired and it's 12:36am

Just was wondering how far in to the game I am?

Just did the mission where I have to escort the boat and top it up with trash

Probably a toss up between this and FH2 for my GOTY.

Def my game of the year so far, wasn't bored for a second which is rare for me these days, somehow the game keeps showing you new shit right up until the end.

Some Miyamoto level game design going on here.

This game had me playing until 2.00am can't remember the last time a game had me doing that.

The air dash just upped my traversal skills. Amazing way to get round the city

For graffiti you're going to have find a billboard that has "your advertisement here" written on it. Stand in front and hit Y.

Then you can buy the maps. For the eavesdropping I have no idea though.

For the eavesdropping there are satellite dish towers scattered around the city with terminals at the bottom that you can interact with, then scan around to listen in on conversations.
They're pretty much the same as the ones you use in the Troop Bushido mission where you're looking for Bryllcream.

i dont think you get overdrive for replaying missions, only cash. you can get some from doing chaos mode tho.
Yeah, some areas of Chaos Squad only give you cash though.

I was going through some of my old boxed up stuff and found Tony Hawk's Underground for Xbox. After playing Sunset Overdrive I was legitimately tempted to pop that game into my 360. It reminded my of just why I love Sunset Overdrive so much.

Ok, I beat the Campaign. And holy shit, that was best 20 hours I had this year.
Next stop is Chaos Squad.
By the way, did anyone know how to restart Campaign?
Also this game needs a Photomode

I just completed the mission where you
set traps for Sam
. How far am I into the game and how long before I get the air dash everyone keeps mentioning. I'm really starting to like this game. So dumb but so fun at the same time...

Beat it a couple days ago. This game was a serious treat; the further you progressed, the better it got. When you get the hang of the traversal (and unlock the air dash), zipping around the city is a rush.

Loved the LARPers, best missions in the game. Yeah, some of the humor was corny, but I feel that was kind of the point and I was actually surprised to find myself laughing at times.

Can't wait to see what they do with this IP. Bravo, Insomniac!

Still a way's away. Probably a couple of hours. Keep going though, it's worth it.

Well you can already replay missions. Maybe they will put out a patch or DLC where you can amp up the difficulty some.
But then I am no fan of artificial difficulty settings...

It would be awesome if they let you start the game over on a harder difficulty with your character progressions like dead rising did

I would absolutely love a new game plus mode for this game. Limiting respawns only in this mode would be cool too, like dying a few times fails the mission and you have to restart.

New game+, hell yeah. Maybe in the DLC?

It's worth noting that Dead Rising is still the best example of how to do NG+ in an open world game.

I'd also love to see NG+ in Sunset. I'd also like to see those coloured streaks make a return and the kitty cannon and the ability to pull off tricks.

My costume's pretty reminiscent of the one on the cover art. I like it. :lol

Also, just unlocked Air Dash. This is gonna be fuuuuun.
