Damn it dog! Take this shit seriously, or we're going to have to find a new manager!

...This is acceptable...

time to get down to serious business then.

All I can think of is Jotaro.

There are tons. But some aren't from shounen stuff like yahari, Kirito kinda counts, belzeebub's main character is kinda anti-social, kira from deathnote?, Guts post golden age, and a ton of lone wolf characters. There are more relevant ones, but i can't think of any.

Ah Kiyo yeah but I dunno about gina and ichigo, they seem pretty ok with friendship.

Jotaro cares about his companions deep down. It's a trope of shonen to care about your friends, even if it's hidden under the coolness, that's why I was saying that if you counted Jotaro then it's a very large amount that would be considered anti-social.

If you're talking actual anti-social in that they hate people and don't actually want to socialize at all, then it's a smaller number but is still a pretty common character type.

Ah well I ask cause im still writing my protagonist and im thinking of writing him as a Kiyo kind of character who starts of wanting to just wanna be alone but people start gravitating towards him during his adventure.

Kinda overdone.
But not necessarily terrible.
Is he really just so charming that everyone wants to hang with him, but cool enough to constantly reject their advances?
If so, congratulations! You may be well on your way to a marty stu!

Nah they all fucking hate each other, but they hate everyone else even more! Theyre all just a bunch of assholes.

Yeah, that's just upwards of 30% of shonen protags and upwards of 90% of shonen rivals. It's a proven archetype and isn't inherently bad, tropes exist for a reason, they're proven to work and are easier to write since there's a large source of reference material, but you're not gonna be breaking any new ground with that. Just keep in mind that a simple but well executed, trope-filled story is better than something crazy and new that falls flat on its face.

That is more unique. One story I have that people have responded well to in the past is one where the main character is a complete psychopathic asshole with three normal partners. Eventually the three partners get sick of his shit and question why they hang out with him, then ditch him. Doing this makes them realize they're huge pieces of shit and are actually assholes themselves, but are less of assholes than the MC, so he overshadows their assholishness and makes them seem normal by comparison, so they stick around him, since he's the only one who will put up with their shit as much as they will his.

That kind of dynamic is certainly nothing new, but it's by far less overdone than just being all tsun-tsun towards your friends.

Don't be afraid to have the characters not be likable. Don't force a change in his personality where it isn't necessary. Develop the change gradually and it'll be fine.

This. Also, if you ever need someone to read and offer suggestions, I'm ALWAYS down.
Just pm me and I'll get right on that.
Thinking back, the main thing that comes to mind is some shit like Code:Breaker. Please do it better than code:breaker.
Please.
That manga was okay

I just got an email telling me about a post my online class teacher made. She said she kept messing with a thing that wasn't working until she basically just King Crimson'd it right as she was going to say fuck it lol.

Also I'm going to sleep. All ya'll do the same.
That's true. It didn't burn through that many pages, imo.
It was like 10 pages in an hour or two. Okay now I'm gone for real. Back in about 11 hours again

Is it ok to leave Junpei behind forever or is there going to be one of those moments later in the game where I'm forced to use him?

Hm... Oh, i forgot it was a 30 hour event, so cumulatively yeah, i might've reached that number of pages. I was just thinking about persona 5 for some reason.

No I'm talking about from the moment the P5 trailer hit.

Yeah we went through close to 2k posts in 15 hours.

EDIT: Granted there was other stuff in there but you get the picture.

The hype was real. Very interested in hearing Woolie and Liam sploosh about it on this weeks podcast since we already saw Pat lose it.

I believe I remember that when your current team gets fatigued and leaves Tarturas, you can switch them out for your reserves and keep going.

Yep, that's only assuming you don't get tired yourself.
Just finished finals and I've been using Akihiko, Yukari, and Mitsuru.

Okay, you'll probably be fine, since if you really want to, you can roll with the same team for the whole game. There will be some moments where it'll suck, but oh well.

So the person I lend the first volume of prison school gave her opinion. She said that is was rather disappointing. Because "she read 50 shades of grey".
Does she expect that I give her porn or something?
That being said, I think that it will be rather hard to convince her to read English translation of Nana to Kaoru online.

It means she's disappointed you didn't give her low quality and poorly written porn.

That Other M topic has me blown away. It always gets me how much mental gymnastics people will go through in order to defend their appreciation for a game that turned the best woman in videogames to a weak, agency-less battered housewife.

That's hilarious that she thinks 50 shades of grey was good even if you only care about the "porn" aspect of it. If she really doesn't care and want some trashy porn, just give her doujins.

But the baby. The baby, pat, the baby. The baby. Did I mention the baby?

I guess I should consider myself lucky I've never played or watched Other M then. Not even your guys thing.

It's genuinely offensive. Not just from a story perspective, which is atrocious, but it's straight up character assassination. It's the fictional character equivalent of seeing a guy beat his wife in the street. It's unbelievable.

Don't tempt me to go watch this thing man. Curiosity can be a killer when you put it like that.
