Man, now I can't wait for Volume 1 to come out in July since I already have it preordered.
Also since someone here might know, is there anyway to use Japanese PSN DLC on my US account for my Vita? I'm lead to believe there's no easy way to do with the way the account system works on Vita and I'd also be locked out of the DLC even if I did get it on my US memory card. If this is the case then the DLC that comes with P4 DAN will be kind of worthless, but not really. I'll just be annoyed that I need to switch memory cards to do it or something. I'd also have to buy a 8 GB memory card or something.

Yeah. That's Other M. Also the reason why the Plasma Beam unlocks is because Adam told her it was okay to use it. She locks her gear away voluntarily the entire game so that her fucked up abusive father figure can lord it over her.
Also, spoilers.
She doesn't get to kill Ripley or the real Final Boss, nor the Metroid threat. 2/3, men run in and do it for her.
Knew it. That scene was also way longer than I remember and I am now morbidly curious if there's anyone who will defend that scene. Every other game it's just, walk into room, shootbang, Ridley is dead. Other M feels it wanted to have cutscenes and "cool" or "dark" back stories just because it could. No one questioned if they should though.

Some what late reply, but I dropped junpei the moment I could switch party members around and I haven't used him since, he is severely under levelled but that still didn't stop me from getting close to beating the game

It actually can't be canon. The very first thing the game does is rewrite the ending to Super Metroid, it also flies in the face of Prime constantly, as well as Fusion and Super Metroid and Zero Mission. Basically it's a fucking mess and if it's canon then literally nothing else is.

I've always been a bit fuzzy on how Nintendo handles canon. Cause there's canon, and then there's stuff like canon in comics which gets rewritten all the god dang time. Nintendos games are usually so loosely connected I'm never quite sure, tho Metroid is admittedly probably their main franchise I'm least familiar with.

I may watch it if I ever want to just torture myself. Those few minutes I just watched give me the same gut reactions that the Kingdom Hearts Parking Lot video give.

Bosses usually have Element break skills which nullify any resistances.
Bosses never have full party coverage though.

I disagree with them, but looking at Other M, you can see why a huge contingent of people are horrified at the idea of Link speaking. Because this shit can happen. Hell Other M killed Metroid. Other M was 7 years ago and the only Metroid thing we've gotten since then is a fucking Nintendoland minigame.

It's partially because I refuse to use the others when I'm doing non boss stuff that they're all like 10-15 levels below the others.

Prime 2 and Fusion easily have the best abiliteases because the loss of your gear creates a huge new problem for you to deal with.

I wish I could play the Primes again because I've forgotten a lot of the small aspects in 1 and 2. It's definitely going to be one the first things I play whenever I snag myself a Wii U.

I dunno how I feel about abiliteases. Like I love the abilitease In Dot.Hack GU because haseos a fucking badass but then gets fucking reckt and has all his power data drained, and you dont get all your powers back till the second game!

Ability teases are great as long as you don't have to go through some utter bullshit useless powers first before you get the cool ones. Spread them out.
It's a lot better than actually having them and then being told not to use them due to a guy telling you not to. There's a difference.
It doesn't help when you don't use them that much and keep not using them.. I did that and it got pretty bad when I needed them, but had to grind to level them up.

This is how I felt. I didn't realise the Prime games were that old and that I'm now not a young munchkin. It feels fucking great replaying Prime 1
Prime 1 has a super dumb reason for you losing all your powers though
Yeah it kind of sucks in games where that first short stage you have all your abilities and find one youre in love with, then lose them all and spend the whole game trying to get it back but you don't until around the last 10%. A real ball breaker.

That's why whenever I'm playing a game and they have a dumb excuse for something, I always try to tell myself "It could be worse". Now I have a reference to how much worse it can be.
Honest to god all I remember in Prime 1 is that first level and the final boss. I played the demo of that first level at K-Mart so many god damn times while I was saving up to buy it myself.
