Super Best Friends Thread 8: "You know, we really are the Super Best Friends Play"

I'm thinking of reviewers trying to target the people who have the game and thinking of getting the DLC.
Maybe you have a point for the mediocre games that have DLC... I can see that work maybe.
For one, you don't have to use V.A.T.S in NV. So that's a plus.

It's also written better, and has better structure. Also it's a million times more interesting.
Hmmm alright. I guess choices are better than nothing. I'll put it in my backlog tho.

The only games I am hyped for in 2015 are Zelda, Bloodporn and P5. I like my odds

Those and XCX are getting me super hyped, though P5 is my most skeptical of the bunch. P4 burned me out and I'm hoping it can take the best parts of P2-4 and go in its own direction and away from the anime heavy tone of 4.

Though nothing will beat Phantom Pain. Nothing.

I could either way for P5. I would love for it to have a dark tone than P4 but I like the goofy bullshit of P4 as well.

You can always start over.

Have you tried the club? It feels really underrated as a weapon, but I find it good if your going for a str build. I might be wrong tho.

Its kinda hard to fuck up in DS when it comes to stats. As long as you build your stats towards a weapon you like and put the rest to hp/stamina/equip load (which is endurance and vit in this game I believe) then you can't really fuck up a playthrough.

I did too for the most part. I enjoy the goofy bullshit in limited quantities. P3 had a nice balance, but P4 really tested my patience. There were some Xenosaga lengthed cutscenes in there lol.

Fuck yeah it's awesome, 2 as well. People tend to hate on 3, but I thought it did a good job as its own take on Max Payne. It sure as hell had better gunplay than all of Rockstars other games.
I should really get ahold of the series.
I remember being a babby Goodwil jr.: I bought TimeShift and later Singularity hoping for a game that capitalized on time mechanics. I was deceived by GameInformer.
I'm just gonna play Sanic boom demo until I pass out.

Dok that's too sad, please

Just do magic.

Max Payne 3 is extremely underrated. Has probably the most satisfying gunplay in a TPS ever, and while the cutscenes are too much, the game is still ridiculously great.

I just Put my points into what ever nets me the most base damage.

Yeah I actually play the game really lame, while face fucking everything even tho it's a really bad idea.
Laming it out is the name of the game, really. The game rewards you for it.

Follow Joose's advice. Good shield and a healthy amount of Vit and End- specially End.

I probably just missed the discussion, but yo, that new Tekken character looks like the best Tekken character ever. I might actually play that game.

James McCaffery as Max shouting and being super angry is a concept I didn't think would have me somewhat shook. Dude gets really pissed off in that game.

I actually drop the shield alot, and just swing wildly into a bunch of enemies (that's why I end up wasting all my precious estus)

Highly recommend the grass crest shield. Its the one a lot of people use and you find it fairly early and easily in the game in Darkroot Basin. Its an amazing shield that will most likely take you to the end of the game.

If you are going to do that, go Dex. Strength builds in DS1 are not beginner friendly. I'm only saying this for your own good.

I just got to the undead Parish after getting my ass burnt to a crisp by the dragon.

Hey A A ron you play BlazBlue right? I can't do 360s and 720s for shit in CP, is there a trick to doing them or do I just need to get good?

I'm the last person you should ask for BlazBlue tips. I love the game more than any other fighter, but I'm goddamn terrible at it. Like, I can barely pull off basic Platinum combos.

Whenever I play Tager, though, I just churn that shit like Street Fighter and it usually works out. I haven't played much CP, though, so they might have changed it.

Lol, you're still super early. I don't wanna give you much advice because I'd rather you just discover things on your own. There are very few things as satisfying as figuring shit out in a souls game. Do what you think is fun. The game is built fairly well to cater to pretty much any playstyle on a first playthrough.

NO MAGIC THOUGH. STAY AWAY.
