Yeah, i am not the biggest Superman fan, but i really liked Man of Steel. My Superman:
Looks amazing. Gonna be another banger from Gunn.
Meanwhile, Snyder cultists are once again reminding everyone that they are 100% certifiably retarded.
Also, how can some people not know who Krypto or Guy Gardner are
My friend's kids have this on ALL the time.Hell WB made this:
Good movie. My kids loved the FedEx guy bit.Hell WB made this:
You are all way too obsessed, you criticize them but you don't see that you are just like them.
Silver Age is just a rewrite of the OG. Rewrite inside a rewrite inside a rewrite. Rewriteception. They’ve never had a Silver Age sci-fi Superman in a movie before.
Alpaca had me howling lolOh goodness, they gave Clark alpaca broccoli top.
Not really. The original 40s was Superman fighting corrupt land lords and stuff like that.Silver Age is just a rewrite of the OG. Rewrite inside a rewrite inside a rewrite. Rewriteception.
10 minutes until everyone on the internet is suddenly an Academy Award winning cinematographer
Yes, really. That is the definition of a rewrite. Especially when you constantly redo origins on screen over and over and over and over. Not really.
The only DCU thing in this is that superheroes exist in the same universe as him. Gunn is clear it doesn’t set anything up. The only thing that ties into another movie is Krypto and if Kara has a cameo.I think I like the Superman stuff.
But I hate the DCU stuff.

The ‘It Begins’ line made me roll my eyes. And including other superheroes in the same universe is the DCU. That’s the whole point. They wouldn’t be in there, if this wasn’t yet another attempt to kick start a shared cinematic universe. I guarantee you it’ll be that stuff that drags the movie down.
The other heroes are working for Maxwell Lord. They’re basically villains in this.
Gunn has been very clear they’re not doing the Marvel thing. That’s why Creature Commandos was rated R and the first DCU release. We all know that’s not going to be how they are perceived by the end.
I would have much preferred a movie that only had Superman characters in it. But that isn’t what Zaslav wants, so here we go again, with DC chasing Marvel. The DCU is born. How very mid noughties.
Can’t wait for yet another fucking Batman.
I hope Gunn manages to juggle the requirements of telling a solid story with the mindless commercial greed of WB.
Also, how can some people not know who Krypto or Guy Gardner are? In what universe did you people read a DC comic in?

The shows and movies exist in the same universe but they’re not connecting or building to some big event.
Flanagan’s Clayface isn’t going to lead into Brave and the Bold.
And we are getting a new Batman. One raising Damian with the full Bat Family already established. We’ve never had that before.
I don't get it either. Like either commit to creating a universe or don't. Having all of these extra characters is world building no matter how you spin it.He's literally doing the Marvel thing. He's constructing a new DC shared cinematic universe, featuring multiple DC comic book characters. Don't fall for the PR spin. This is exactly the same thing again. Whether it builds to a shared event like Avengers is irrelevant. It's a shared universe that requires movies and Tv shows to feature superheroes that will appear in other projects.
And another Batman is endlessly fucking stupid, regardless of what it will or won't contain. Reeves has constructed a critically and commercially successful Batman universe, that will only be negatively affected by Gunn's bone-headed plans to force another version of the character on an audience already tired of superhero overexposure.
WB's biggest problem for decades now has been it's boner for the Marvel dollar. That's why they keep making the same mistakes, instead of doing the one thing they have had success with: standalone movies in standalone universes that tell their own self contained stories.
DC doesn’t green light or announce anything until there’s a finished script on Gunn’s desk. That’s the exact opposite of what Marvel does. Marvel will announce a whole slate of movies building to a big event but not even have a screenwriter hired for any of them yet. He's literally doing the Marvel thing
What kids got in the 80s.
Stop, stop!DC doesn’t green light or announce anything until there’s a finished script on Gunn’s desk. That’s the exact opposite of what Marvel does. Marvel will announce a whole slate of movies building to a big event but not even have a screenwriter hired for any of them yet.
For example, Supergirl was never intended to be the second movie released (in 2026) but the script came in and was so good it got greenlit after Superman.
Flanagan’s Clayface is similar. Zero connection to anything else. It’s basically The Fly.

Wait...that was a different guy.Silver Age is just a rewrite of the OG. Rewrite inside a rewrite inside a rewrite. Rewriteception.
He said it was DCU because YouTube bullshitters were claiming it was Elseworlds and tied into Reeves movies.Clayface has been confirmed - by Gunn! - to be part of the DCU. It's a shared universe movie.
