Switch 2 First Party Physical Game Prices: €90/$80 for Mario Kart and €80/$70 for Donkey Kong

Everything was going strangely well with this announce... They had to ruin it somehow! Fuck Nintendo if this true! Will buy Switch 2 when fucking "magic" is available!

So this is the newest way to kill physical...make the games even more expensive, and make the digital cheaper?!

Was very underwhelming anyway, not much new- just a chance to play stuff I've already got in what looked like PS3-O-Vision. Oh, and for anyone with a switch OLED...enjoy your library in crappy LCD once again.

That is insane pricing. I wonder what's US side of things is going to show. Either way, Nintendo is out of their god damn minds.

For those who dunno, 79,90€ for a First Party game, is what Sony is doing with the PS5 since day one in Europe. I haven't seen many complaints.
Orange to apples...
1. You get a resellable PHYSICAL version for that price with Sony.
2. Usually some retailers offer said physical version for ~70€ or even less day one. You´re not getting that in Nintendo`s shop, guaranteed.
3. With Sony we´re talking blockbuster budget monster games vs...whatever Nintendo is offering here.

I'm curious at the "online fee" as well. The direct had something called an exclusive online membership of some sort....whatever that means.

This, and it's all fucking Sony and Microsoft fault. Soon when your mom and dad walk into that shit last Target left in town the ONLY console they will see is Switch 2. How fucking dumb can you be?
Even if retail is dying. Think about just walking through the electronics section and basically seeing Nintendo dominate there. Even if you don't buy physical. It's still advertising Nintendo to you. Sony and Microsoft won't have this presence. It won't matter in a decade most likely but for now its a pretty powerful message.

Yeahhhh let's see. I doubt I'll purchase the Switch 2 right away. I guess my purchases for Nintendo games will get dramatically less.

In which planet? And that's with Sony games getting regular and deep discounts which is not Nintendo's style.

I really don't understand the thought process beyond "Fuck you, give me more money" here. This is going to tank game purchases.

I think this concept of paying for upgrades on old games is worse than Microtransactions. Nintendo already charges too much for their 1st party and now want even more.
Buying an 'upgrade pack' for an old game is hard to swallow for me.
Sony started this and all it does is make me want to skip the game till it gets an upgrade before buying.

They must have skip the Apple tutorial where they actually need innovation and that high quality premium feel in their product to justify these prices.
