I joined before but you left b4 i finished downloading map/connected.

It's a rare bug. I've had it happen like two or three times in all the time I've played TF2. Basically, sometimes when there's a server hiccup certain players will just not render for you. When they kill you it'll show you the position they were in when their world model did last render for you. Usually it fixes itself once you die, but if you're having it happen a lot I'd recommend doing a bug report.

I downloaded Steam this April and my main system before PC was a DS.

I've not looked in to every single PC game that has been released. ;)

Okay point me to a post that explains how to get the demos working. I downloaded it and went into tf2 and then shift + F2 and then it would never load.

It'll only load if it's in your tf folder.

(steam/steamapps/stevewinwoodsucks/team fortress 2/tf)

Once the demo loads, just close the demoui window and you'll be able to change spectated player (or fly around) like normal.

[EDIT] This should go without saying, but you also need to have the map that the demo is on.

Started playing TF2 and whenever I click a character to change his loadout, the game pauses for a bit and makes a constant clicking sound. Is there something I can change to stop this from happening?

Same, but I only get 60 fps if I,m looking at the ground. Get about 16-26 fps normally.

I get 121* frames at 1920x1080 with everything up.

I have my FPS capped at 121. When i uncap it I generally get between 250 and 300

Also, why would you cap your frames, serios question.

Because Chris' config says to cap it at 2x your monitor refresh rate + 1.

(I don't know.)

Its to give your frame-rate headroom to prevent it from the unusual drops you might get below your refresh rate if you were to cap it at 1X your refresh rate.

Basically, It provides smoother gameplay.

combine vsync at that rate with triple buffering and your gameplay will be considerably much more silky smooth.

I'm #2 overall? Sounds about right.

And people whine I'm too hesitant to push on to points. I'm just hesitant when the push will result in failure and I have most of a charge going. ;)

I tried v-sync for a while but always had small input delay, more noticeable while playing sniper
