Apparently some people have been having issues on PC, but it's not as bad as it is on PS4. I think even the Xbox version is faring better. I've only played a couple of player matches. 90% of the time I'm getting player disconnect messages on PS4.

I play that when I wanna try out new characters. It's a good mode to learn them in, and get stuff in the process.

I just need two more trophies for platinum, Ranked and Kazumi Special match in Arcade or Treasure Battle. Will be my fourth platinum ever too.

Is there something I don't know about how online works?

I played a Josie that managed to do combos even though I was swimming under water and could barely do anything...

Much to my surprise, I managed to clutch it out even though my shit was freezing almost every time I landed a hit.

I managed to get around ranked (thanks PS trophies) to get my Platinum

Choose Match List instead of Warm-up
Let people challenge you instead of picking people

This seems to have clicked for me.

In the arcade days I started with learning the cradle normally, my coup de gras was doing it all one handed.
I will get there again.

Installing my copy now and this is the first game I have played while the game is still installing, I just couldn't wait. Jumped straight into arcade mode with Lucky Chloe and swept passed everyone but Kazumi who I managed to beat on my 3rd try. I know I am going to love this game.

But I don't get it I went through 60 matches and got nothing, no special Kazumi match no special fight yourself.
I got 15,000,00+ from doing it but no decent items.

So you just sit at the match list screen not clicking on any players and occasionally someone will match up with you?

Edit: well, it worked surprisingly.

Ya I don't get this, I did rolling all the time in casual in older tekkens. It's not impossible to do consistently, now people breaking it that's the trouble. Hell it was my favorite thing to do as King when I was playing someone that didn't know how to tech throws.

took someones advice on xiaoyu about not trying to punish so much but pressure and do mix ups with xiaoyu and ive been on a winning streak <3

also not sidesteppign as much

Yeah the breaks are rough, more so now then ever in my opinion as everyone is always throwing buttons at all times.
But (and I could be wrong) it seemed to be harder to break then most of the other chains which would be broken with impunity it seemed unless someone was caught napping

I had a hell of a night saturday, where I was winning everything in site....fish , hats, fish hats, cakes, glasses of all colors and options....but whenever I would get to a special match for a shiny box I would get beaten like a teens penis.
Like 5 special fights.
I gave up.

Did you beat Story mode yet? Pretty sure the Kazumi, Heihachi, Kazuya and Eliza Special matches don't happen until then.

It's more like Ghost Battle from previous titles. And as such i wish it had more ghosts in it, seems like it sometimes repeats the same 3 players again and again. Ghosts were the captured playdata of arcade players.

And Ghost Battle had the cool option of choosing who to fight next, if i wanted to specifically get more training against a specific character.

Only need 1 more trophy before Platinum and that's win 1 ranked match. I've only played rank once and it was against a Katrina. I've never faced anyone playing her before so it was good experience. Most of the characters I see online are Law, Steve, Akuma, Katarina and surprisingly Claudios.

I like online trophies a lot, if you're not obsessive about them then I don't think it's a big deal. Generally I think they encourage people to persist with modes they wouldn't otherwise try.

In Tekken, the trophies are super brief, so once the online is working, which I'm sure it will be soon, it will be a non-issue. The real issue with the broken online functionality, is the fact that we can't play online. I don't see the trophies as a significant factor here. It's not like they tell you to win 100,000 matches or something silly.

That was a long time ago, and he apologized. Haven't seen him do anything like that since.

Playing arcade doesnt unlock a video of the character we were playing, at the end...Am I doing something wrong, or have they removed the individual videos?

Also,

For PC users, is there a way to have the Playstation prompts instead of Xbox ones? Seems silly, but i've been playing Tekken ever since tekken 1 on the Playstation, so I'd like the PS buttons.

So far the game is stunning, and runs amazing on PC!

Individual character endings are now placed in the side stories of the story mode. That is unless the character in question is actually part of the main story.

This Mishima saga has been tainted. It was so mysterious and oozing with atmosphere back in the day but then they started getting lazy and trying to be fancy and cinematic and came up with turds. It had an essence of the old in that one Devil Kaz scene in the building ruins with that music playing but that's it. It just kept retreading the same shit. How many dojo attacks and Jack attacks and Heihachi death fakeouts as he comes to from rubble miles away from the dojo do there need to be?
