Can anyone recommend any good Asuka guides? I've spent some time in the lab with her and am doing okay online for a total newbie (about 50% winrate) but basically, my neutral game is extremely terrible (as is my wake-up, a thing I find nearly inscrutable in this game, coming from a mostly SF background).

Tried Akuma for the first time in Ranked... that was a hard fought victory. My mind can't handle a fighter that basically has his SF moveset but has to be played by Tekken laws. Started pushing buttons that weren't there, always going for HP and stuff 
Also brought my first online character (Lucky Chloe) up to 1st dan, then got the message that everyone now has moved up to 1st dan. So do all my characters now share a rank or do they level individually again?

Is it normal to lose a match with the Katerina treasure mode trick? Was browsing GAF and just saw her lost to Kuma lol.
If fighting scrubs like myself: Put 2+3 on R1 and 1+4 on R2. Proceed to beat people up whilst looking like you know what you're doing.

Yep I'm in Dubai.
The games ranged from 3-4 bars on average and I'd end up playing the same people over and over again. I just don't think the player base is there for this region which is unfortunate because the port is fantastic (which is probably the only reason I don't feel burnt for buying it twice).

Go into practice mode and go to moveslist and look for the pre-canned 10-hit string. Easier than trying to do a 10 hit juggle.
That sucks about the PC player base. Lots of 4+ bar matches on PS4, but I'm getting a lot of connection errors mid game too. Not sure if it's etisalat or the game.
I did it with hwoarang, very easy button sequence.

Why can't they put the PSP Dark Resurrection intro in these video galleries? T5DR PS3, TTT2 and now T7 all fail to feature it. I want me some of that Yoshi cg footage!

Yep. This game has already eclipsed Tekken 3 for me. I think its the best Tekken even better than T5DR. It's flawless.
Namco should get Platinum Games to do a Tekken Force Third Person Shooter spin-off in the style of Vanquish.

Speaking of input buffering, you know you can do it with directional buttons this way too. Lets use King's Giant Swing as an example. You ever see people do 1, 2, Giant Swing and the GS comes out super fast? What you do is input the directional buttons for GS while the animation for the 1,2 is still completing. As soon as you finish the animation for 1, /2, you then press 1 to do the throw. It takes some practice, but it can be useful for a lot of moves.

Asuka had a "10 hit combo" that isn't even actually 10 hits and is only like 5 button presses. It's stupid easy.
(I'm not sure if revenge matches affect ranking gain, they do at the arcade.)

I'm having an issue with tournaments. It seems like half the time when I join, once the tournament starts it automatically has me losing my first match without me even playing it. Anyone else experiencing the same? PS4 btw

LMAO. I'm so glad this game is meeting all my expectations. I knew they weren't going to knock the story mode out of the park but I'll take this as a positive step in the right direction.
Overall I'm super pleased with the production values and amazing game play. I love this freaking game. The game is light years ahead of Tekken 6.

Well if we're doing dream crossovers, get the Yakuza team to do the combat for Death by Degrees 2.
And in return, get Kiryu into Tekken 7.
And in return, get Kiryu into Tekken 7.

Hey, as someone who enjoys Tekken purely for the single player stuff, is this game worth picking it or should I wait for it to get cheaper.
I really liked Tekken 4 because each character got an intro, epilogue and ending cut scene which fleshed everyone out a bit - not a huge fan of the numerous comedic endings they did in Tekken 5 and 6
I understand the game has an actual story mode this time, does it come with a classic arcade mode with ending cut scenes as well - I remember something with Tekken 6 like you only got three fights or something and it was trickier to get endings, been a while though.
