Hori commander turns up today.

Excited to give that a whirl. Just been feeling this game so much more on a pad.

Ps hey member status! See ya, junior.

Switched back to PS4 for awhile to jump in ranked. Starting new.

Shenanigans right from the start.

GET READY TO... oh.

Honestly. I didn't mean to do the 2nd one.

Just tried out treasure battle for the first time. That's... interesting, I guess.

Not sure I'll mess with that again, I unlocked a hawk for Shaheen and that seems like the coolest thing in there. Time to retire.

The game has been super fun.
Bamco hit a nice balance of slightly simpler mechanics and depth.

When you are having fun losing, you know it's good.
Josie is a simple enough character to begin, and learning her abilities little by little when you feel the need to counter something, is very rewarding.

Playing it on an arcade cab is the cherry on top.

Ace setup man! Learning Josie myself, trying to master 1 simple juggle combo haha, it gives me a reason to play treasure battle.

Anyway..
I love Josie, it just clicked with her as soon as i made some simple combos.
The first one i learned was df+2 f+3 3,3 Dash f+2,3,4.
Now that i started to crouch block and while standing punish, it's so awsome!

I had a match with a king player yesterday, the first match was 3-0 and i lost very fast as i am still awfull at teching normal throws, nevermind command throws.
I got parried, airthrown, and command thrown to hell.
And at the end of the match, i thought "damn what a blow up" im kind of out of my depth with this dude.
Fast forward to the rematch, and i 3-0'ed him back. I kept my distance, teched 3 throws in a row! And punished the hell out of him. When the match was over i realised the dude only knew King's throws, his comboing sucked.

I haven't had moments like these in a fighter for some time.
The netcode has been super solid so far.

How do I approach witb Asuka? I'm having trouble getting in with her. The only way I can get in is 3+4, 2, D, 4 but it's hard juggle after the sweep.

Gonna try that combo out shortly, thanks man. I'm still really new to fighting games & especially Tekken, so I'm at this weird strange where i'm trying to get out of button bashing, but getting my ass whooped trying to play more conservatively and methodical. But it's a damn fun ride :p

Marvel

could never
Still practicing my fightstick, how long roughly can it take to adjust? feels like I am learning a damn musical instrument haha

Try Back Back Down. This way is not as fast as the pros but it actually is less frustrating. Don't mash it or go too fast, let your character get some length out of the backdash (if you do it too fast, you move very little distance because you basically crouch before your character moves anywhere), then cancel it into a crouch, you can then backdash again right after it. You'll notice a huge difference compared to trying to mash only Back Back when try to backdash away.

Got the game finally today and immediately spent like 40 mins trying to get the technique down. My ol SFV habits want me to use the QCB method, but cant but help think that DDB is ultimately easier/more efficient :)

Heads up for all you OST fans, the NamcoMusicCenter channel as put a lot of unused/beta tracks from the game's PC version up on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/NamcoMusicCenter/videos

Damn so many of those "unused" tracks are so good. Wish I could get those on ps4 jukebox. On PC? I can just throw that stuff on a YT playlist, but no option to sync up to final rounds. :/

Has this feel to it.

You can mod them in (including final round track).
There are guides how to do it.

And many indications that the jukebox is time exclusive or can be modded int he pc version.

PS4 version is still trash wtf.. Found 4 opponents, immediately disconnects 3 with the same error message even after the patch, and the 1 I actually got to play, disconnects during a 1:1. Also fuck that horrible build in input lag on PS4. WTF where they thinking?

Online is only playable with a 5 bar connection, 4 bar can be hit or miss. I hope it eventually gets straightened out, cuz I love playing this game.

For those playing on PC and Xbox, how is multiplayer?

PC is excellent. 3 bars are doable, but not preferred. I've regularly played with someone at 2 bars and for the most part can still hit my juggles.

I'm really struggling to find other people on PC, I have to just sit in warm up mode and hope someone finds me. Tournaments, ranked, or just regular online all come up empty for some reason :(
