Sounds Metroid Prime-y.
I LOVE this. Might actually use that as a stage background theme.
That and Gaur Plains and Blinded by Light.
Or naaaaah, I'll just stick exclusively with Tekken stuff. lol

Oh, that's the live monitor.

Oh man there are definitely some tunes outside of Tekken that I will employ in this game. There are definitely a lot of golden metroid prime stuff that I cherish, example:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovZgfrBQtZY

A music track I can never get enough of is Deus Ex (even though I've never played it) This one in particular:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FZ-12a3dTI

Another old school gem I used to play when I first got my PS1 were things from the Loaded soundtrack. This track is definitely making it somewhere in my list:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tpp14mFNQkc

Hmm... oh man, this is gonna be great. TTT2 will be supreme.

7.5GB required HDD space. Tekken 6 needed 32MB and had an optional hard drive install of 4GB.

Fuuuuuuuuck! 7.5GB Fuuuuuuuuuuuck! I barely scrape for hd space since 1,5 year.

Hell... Gonna have to buy external hd and new ps3 hd. Shit.

Do I see a link to Loaded music? Not the crappy Loaded 2 but the awesome Orignal Loaded? AAK in the words of Harada "You are the man!"

As much I love the TTT2 music I'm still going to change some things up. I'll be putting the Netherlands theme on several stages while replacing the actual stage theme with this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPwoDguKeds

Ogre stage will be getting the TTT PS2 Orge theme, probably the only PS2 remixed version I enjoyed over the original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeQEeqcoNHA

School Stage is getting the original TTT arcade version.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMODOJ-FpXg

Charactet Select Tekken 3 arcade character select.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqRk9ruZ1tc

Snoop stage is getting SFII Balrog theme. I'm still trying to figure out the rest but they will mostly be from videogame and anime soundtracks.

Potential Canidates.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eWVoHVzhxg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpY_VXQnnVY
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StREOxkuv-s

I might end spending more time in tekken tunes than actually playing lol.

What would extend the awesome (and extend my
uploads
) would be the ability to select multiple tracks for specific stages or menus that randomly cycle each time you play. For example, I can set Jin's T3, TTT, and TTT2 music to that one stage that already features the Jin remix and get a different version of it every time I play on it.

Smash Bros. Brawl did this. Really hoping we can do the same with TTT2.

Ask Harada for it on Twitter. It's too late to get it in for release, but they might see fit to put it into one of the patches that comes later on.
Good idea. Anyone with a twitter account here?

If anything, I think this is even better because you won't have to replace the music that the composers worked hard at and instead adding complimentary tracks.

Done, asked him on twitter.

That game's soundtrack is LEGENDARY. I spent nearly 3 months looking for it. online until someone finally uploaded it on youtube.

So everyone who was watch a bit of the Tekken Night Club stream. I just couldn't resist and I had to put out a video of the DJ with that zany bowtie. Look how was groovin' and I just had to join him.

Great! Hopefully it's possible to implement after release if it isn't already or can't be squeezed in beforehand. I'd hate to replace the amazing soundtrack and I wouldn't be inclined to buy new tracks knowing that I'll only be swapping them out all the time. But a collection? Fuck yeah.

And you guys know they will offer some of these remixes and others. Hot shit.

I can't wait,

I demand that this makes into the TTT2 OT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uO4SKdyO8xI

EDIT: also someone has uploaded the entire thing to youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/LOFExpectAPunish

Would be pretty trivial to extract the audio from that if one would so desire.

Hahaha, That would be perfect.... But again, I only have 1 post to do everything :(

There won't be that much about Gameplay in this OT, I'm just going to link out of it to various resources. I'll be sure to keep the above link in mind.

No Stage Select (after match)

There will be rematch and character select - I think what will make up the time is the incredible load times!

Great, thanks for the confirmation.

Just a heads up to people that if you don't plan on using the rematch function all that much, it'll be a lot faster to simply use ARcade Mode for offline sessions. TTT2 has an awesome feature that after you lose a match against another human you can press start instantly after to jump straight to the vs screen without waiting to get to the win pose. Shaves off a second or 2. :)

How old is Leo?

17. But Lili was 16 in DR (as was Xiaoyu in T3). Youngest in the series I believe (outside animals & robots)

She looks very feminine in this video.

Also, her age makes her appearance completely believable.

Look forward to seeing Leo's burqini :p

Also, can somebody chime in what this screen is supposed to tell me and it's significance?

Oh man, Leo's so flat...

Prediction: she'll wear a tube top for her swimsuit...

@AAK I think the development techniques meter can either be:

1. How many moves you bought with that input, 100% means you bought all possible moves with that button input

2. How much moves in that input you taught Combot, 100% means you already assigned a move in every direction that's possible in that button input and you don't have any space left for other moves.

To me it looks like development techniques means that combot has learned 70% of all moves that start with LP. Maybe such as Kazuya's 1,1,2 or Miguel's Savage stance d/f+1. He's also learned 51% of all RP punch moves, 41% of 1+2 moves, and 38/54% of throws etc. I'm sure I'm completely wrong though.

*edit* Death's explanation sounds alot better than mines.

Leo should have one default costume that is not that of a tomboy. Either way she has a pragmatic female body.

Agreed. It was interesting in T6 since her gender was always a hot topic to debate, but now that Harada revealed that Leo is a 'she', it would be nice for her to have some clothing options that catered to that.

This post makes so much sense.

I'm trying to satiate my urge to play TTT2 with music and gameplay vids but it's too much now. Can't wait much longer. :(

I will probably go out tomorrow and make sure my pre-order is set. Waited so long for them to announce a CE for North America but I guess that's not happening. Would have loved to have a physical artbook and soundtrack. More sadness.

Imagine there's ton of TTT2 copies stacked somewhere in Namco warehouse.

Where's that fuckin' warehouse?!

Waiting is hard.

Couldn't wait either so I went out to buy T6 recently but I'm getting owned online, so demotivating. :(

Lot's of time is needed in practice mode. Going online from the get go is not the best idea.

You'll have to build up confidence by training. Then ask yourself questions: Do I remember the moves? Do I remember what they do?(stun, juggle, pick up, trip etc.) Do I remember when to use them? And finally do I know a combo(juggle) or two?

It all seems obvious on the paper but it takes months to work it all together into a complete mindset. I play this for years and still bash myself after the fight "Shit! I could do this move in this situation! I'm a moron!"

The main problem I have with online, is that I do not expect my launchers to hit. When I do land a launcher, and my opponent is in mid air, I'm too surprised that I landed a launcher to remember to continue the juggle.

Yeah, that's a problem. I'm slowly nailing a habit that I think it always hits and start doing something automaticaly. Sadly my hard combo has very strict timing and almost never hits online and I always go for it out of habit lol.

Edit:
Who do you play as Anastacio?

Jin has simple moveset but is actually hard to use on decent level. Kinda low tier in T6. Tag 2 gives him much needed forward stance after moves. I always felt he needed something like that in T6.
3,1
1,3b
uf+4
2,4
2,1
b+2,1
special throws
df+1,4
1,3~3
are you friends...

For Leo you need to learn the knee loop f+4,df(or qcf and the like)+3 etc and b+1,4 stance mixup and b+1,4,df(or qcf)+3 into knee loop or combo mixup. Ws1,4,1 ws3,1,2(or was it 3,2,1) last hit on both strings is blockable, but I do it until opponent starts blocking then I do only 2 parts of the string then dash and throw and go back to all 3 for mindfu..games.

I like the "scuba gear" theory, personally.

That kinda makes sense if they want to keep leo's androgyny. But still, I'm gonna be disappointed with that swimwear, especially if it end up like a burquini where even the head is covered...

Now my prediction has turned into a wish... Filthie! Tube Top swimwear for leo plz!!! lol

@AAK

I'm kinda disappointed though about having no 1+4 and 2+3 input. Maybe it can be scrolled down, but still... No King's Moonsault or Kazama White Heron String for Combot... That might be another wish in the wishlist for me...

How would you guys feel about a Tekken 7 taking place where many of the current cast are gone BUT a combot can be used that can be equipped with the retired casts' moves and customizations? For example, combot can use Nina's moves and don her appearance for Nina fans.

Never gonna happen after their backpedaling post Tekken 3 and progressively ruining Tekken storyline.

Ogre killed off old cast but Namco had to erase all evidence and say it never happened after outcry of the fans. This shitty conspiracy is personal vendetta of mine.

Back to you. Yeah I'd dig the idea but I'm afraid it'd result in billions of Korean combot- combot matches because nobody would want to learn new characters for 2 years.

My dream since forever is Tekken Zero with young(15-20 years) Heihachi and new(precursor) cast.

Usually fans don't like it, I would assume. They swapped with new characters in Soul Calibur V and people were pissed off.
I would be fine with it, though, I guess. I liked Tekken 4.

If it was just about the moves, people wouldn't have been crying for Jun and Michelle. I'd love a moderately reduced cast that would let the team the room to play around with the system and de-homogenize the characters, but it'd never happen.

That said, since they aren't going to go in that direction the "kitchen sink" approach is just fine with me.
