I know you are insecure about your dad's car, don't be, it's a great car. But at least use a Honda Fit picture that is not from a 10 years old model...

I guess beauty is subjective...? But putting aside your schoolyard insults to whoever you were arguing with, I gotta agree with that poster. Honda Fit is not the most aesthetically pleasing car.

What are your overall impressions of the i3? I was torn between it and the tesla, so i'm curious to hear first hand what you think of it.

I love it! I've had it for 7 months now and don't regret getting it at all. It's very zippy and maneuvers like a dream because of the skinny tires. Speaking of those, you get used to them super fast. I wouldn't want to hit a deep pothole, but the car feels extremely stable and the ride is smooth even on the 20" sport tires.

The fit and finish is great whether on the lower or higher trims. The wood in the Tera World trim is gorgeous in person paired with the brown leather. Their are plant fibers throughout the dashboard plastics to give it a unique texture, and lots of visible carbon fiber when you open the doors.

Interior rear legroom is no doubt limited in comparison with the Tesla, but it really isn't bad, and headroom is great. Front leg/headroom is great and the car feels very spacious.

My favorite thing is the strong (more so than the Tesla, so I hear) regenerative breaking. It feels very weird the first few times driving it, but I wouldn't want to go back. It makes my city commutes much better without the constant pedal switching.

The range is lacking in comparison to a Tesla, but if you are using it within the city mostly, I think it's fine, especially if you can charge at your house. I got the range extender model as a safety net. I love that it doesn't operate as a hybrid, and simply uses the gas engine as a generator if the charge gets too low, so it has only ever turned on 3-4 times in my time owning the car.

I know I probably sound like a salesman, but I really do love the car. I suggest a test drive, because the regenerative braking isn't for everybody.

I wonder what the resale market will be for reservation spots...... might be a worthwhile investment for that alone if you don't end up wanting the car ;)

Did ppl who ordered online receive email confirmation?

I have the charge appear on CC right away but no email. Now stupid me is going to fret all night thinking I may have entered my email address wrong or something.

Any issues or complaints with your A3?

I am strongly considering one myself.

None. I absolutely love it. Got the Quattro Sports package. Drives like a dream, much better than the similarly priced 2 series and CLA250. Great pick up, drives fantastically in the snow, and pretty good on gas.

Seriously considering just buying it outright when my lease is up, but I need the business write off so I'll probably lease again.

Car's not going to be out in a year

Bah. If it really impresses I'll figure out transportation in the interm and grab one.

The charge appeared for me as well but no email. They are probably processing these things manually with a live person so it might take awhile.

Emails might be delayed 24 hours. If they charged your card, you're good to go.

Any last minute predictions?

I am going with
200-230 miles range on the cheapest model, 280-300 on top model.

Starting price of $35k.
