Musk already replied to a tweet that it is being tweaked. How significantly and if you will even think the outcome is an improvement is unknowable until you seeing obviously.
Okay good, I trust them

Guys, the Big Three aren't convinced!

Lol.
Has anyone run with that bit of news regarding the size of battery? I always assumed the smallest would be 60kw as the base, that bit fr the call hints it will be smaller which right now does actually make me question the range figures.
Obviously tech improves and they can probably squeeze out more range from smaller batteries, but it does make me more interested in what the sizes are in fact going to be.
Lighter more aerodynamic car should get more mileage. My guess is they do a 50, 60, 70 version to start at 215, 250, 280 range give or take.

That's so rich of Volvo considering - https://youtu.be/AsTxS6tg6xcIt's not just limited to the Big 3. Here's Volvo chiming in on autopilot:

Tesla really needs to improve the front of the car because it's fucking ugly. I have a preorder but I already have a really badass car that I think is beautiful. Honestly the front of the Tesla looks so bad I couldn't buy it if that's the way the production model looks. The rest of the car is great but the front is hideous. Hopefully I can afford a Model S by then and it's a moot point.
Ouch, that looked painful.
While I can completely understand that it's a subjective thing, I personally thing the front looks great. What do you think of the new Model S nose (reworked to look more like the Model X)?
I'm glad I'm not the only one checking the exchange rate daily.Canadian dollar is back up to 79.50 cents! Keep climbing, we have until 2018 for parity!
As an American who'd never buy a non-Tesla American car, I wholeheartedly agree. As a European that considers Tesla the only American manufacturer that makes cars I'd actually want to buy I have to say "LOL."
Holy shit. That's so rich of Volvo considering - https://youtu.be/AsTxS6tg6xc

I have always loved the way that the S looks, I think it's one of the best looking cars out there. I like the update even more but I think it would look even better if they slimmed down the nose a little more. I like the X too but it's not quite as good (I have a general preference for sedans).
The 3 just looks really unfinished. I say this because from some angles the front looks okay but from others I literally think it is one of the most hideous fronts of a car I have ever seen and I don't think it goes well with the rest of the car which is generally quite good looking. Honestly, right now this is a deal breaker for me.
EDIT: anyway it could be worse, it could look like a Porsche Panamera
Glad you like the S refresh and the X. Have you seen this recent shot of the 3?
Even Tesla admits that they need a lot of things to go right for this to happen. And yet they want to make 500,000 cars in two years' time.
Life moves at you pretty fast.
Honestly, the new front designs have put me off these cars considerably. I cringe whenever I see that Model 3. Compare that to having the Model S being my desktop wallpaper...

Yeah Tesla still has a long way to go to earn my trust. Unbelievable so many gave them deposits on a non product. It's not even fully designed yet.Elon is promising big but Tesla has not met a production target or start date yet.
Which might be why their stock has been drifting endlessly downwards since the Model 3 reveal. People are realizing just what a monumental task Elon has set for himself. He wants to make 500,000 cars a year in 2018 when his company shipped about 50,000 cars in 2015. The S didn't hit an actual street until 2 years after the originally planned launch date, the X didn't until 3 years after. (Thanks, DeLorean doors!)
I would love to be driving my 3 in 2017 but I'm not holding my breath. Elon's saying he's probably going to pursue another round of financing too, so I wouldn't buy any Tesla shares anytime soon either. He's estimating today that he will have burned another $1.8 billion in cash before the first 3 hits an actual street, and Tesla has $1.4 million cash on hand. I don't doubt he'll get the money he wants though.

I'm assuming they will do something about Neo's mouth sewed shut, God knows they've gotten enough feedback about it by now.

It's not a deposit. It's just a fully refundable (anytime) pre-order. And it's just 1k.
It's still money you're giving up on a product that isn't even finished being designed or even a guaranteed delivery date. Seems entirely based on hype.
And at least Tesla wont hold you hostage once the car finally comes in. If you go to dealer and reserve a hard to find car they mark it up like crazy.Auto reservations always work like that. Tesla didn't invent the car preorder. If you wanted to reserve a Chevy Bolt you would go to the dealer and do the same thing, you can't reserve it for free. They will demand money for a reservation.

It's not good but if you spent five additional seconds reading you might find that this happens everywhere.
Wherever theres an auto industry, were there, said Drazen, one of the workers who agreed to be interviewed if the newspaper only used his first name. The 45-year-old Croatian spent his third Christmas working in a U.S. factory. He expected his next stop for the Slovenian subcontractor ISM Vuzem to be at a Volkswagen plant in Tennessee.

Regarding the accident that resulted in Mr. Lesnik being injured, Cal/OSHA (the government regulator that investigates workplace accidents like these) came to our factory, investigated the incident and found that Tesla was not responsible. When Mr. Lesnik brought a workers compensation case, Tesla was dismissed from the case because the judge concluded that we had no legal responsibility for what occurred.
All of that is fine legally, but there is a larger point. Morally, we need to give Mr. Lesnik the benefit of the doubt and we need to take care of him. We will make sure this happens. We do not condone people coming to work at a Tesla facility, whether they work for us, one of our contractors or even a sub-subcontractor, under the circumstances described in the article. If Mr. Lesnik or his colleagues were really being paid $5 an hour, that is totally unacceptable. Tesla is one of the highest paying hourly employers in the US automotive industry. We do this out of choice, because we think it is right. Nobody is making us do so.
Tesla will be working with Eisenmann and Vuzem to investigate this thoroughly. If the claims are true, Tesla will take action to ensure that the right thing happens and all are treated fairly.
Turns out Tesla paid the contractor $55 per hour per worker. It's not known how much of that was passed on to the worker, but it invalidates the original claim Tesla paid $5/hr.
And Musk is clarifying terms of the contract to a Verge reporter on twitter.
best get rid of your iphone and ipad. At least Elon is straight up about it.
Seriously you're going to post literally everything negative you can find on Tesla arent you?
Is Chevy paying you?
