I have no idea why the gap is so big also.

"I do think it lacks a bit of heart," said the author Naomi Alderman, who is also reviewing the film. "That's partly to do with the characters: Captain Haddock is a caricature, Thomson and Thompson are comedy figures.

It doesn't sound like the Tin Tin theme, but John Williams apparently wanted to make something different and he did. It sounds great.

This looks so much fun. Really reminds me of Indiana Jones. 2 more days!Littleberu said:
I read it as Milou all my childhood. It´s just weird hearing it called Snowy. My French is rusty, and i don´t want to lose focus by reading subtitles.Scullibundo said:What exactly is the problem? The dog's name was Milou in the original French translation. His name is still Milou in the french version of this film.
Same, the Swedish dub for the cartoon kept all the french names.Beam said:I read it as Milou all my childhood. It´s just weird hearing it called Snowy. My French is rusty, and i don´t want to lose focus by reading subtitles.

Aussie kids too, although all Tintins eventually make their way from the kids bookshelf to the toilet where they're re-read forever.UnluckyKate said:What Spoiler ? Every european has all the books on their shelves.

The story behind this is amazing - the guy did that for fun, Spielberg saw it, contacted him, and now he's hired to work on the next film. So awesome. I love what the internet has done for things like that.Cosmic Bus said:I really like this theoretical title sequence created by James Curran.

Don't worry = really good or what?Empty said:and don't worry about the john williams soundtrack, though they should have put the tintin cartoon theme tune in there.
They want to benefit from the good word-of-mouth from Europe before marketing the film in the US, where nobody knows what Tintin is.Hydrogen Bluebird said:Why is this movie screening so early in Europe?

In the latest print edition of The Hollywood Reporter, the trade caught up with the directors to talk about the film, the asked Jackson directly if hell helm the sequel once hes done with The Hobbit to which he simply replied, Yes.
Spielberg elaborated that while they dont have the greenlight yet for a followup, the studios have allowed them to develop it to the point where its good to go. [Sony and Paramount] were willing to do one movie with us and then give us the financial werewithal to develop a script, do all the visual storyboards and get it really in launch position. So we can launch pretty quickly on a second movie. The script is already written, explained Spielberg.

Thought this was pretty cool. Guy who made fan made intro gets invited to the premiere and offered a Job on the next movie.

i really enjoyed it, it does have it's flaws but it's still an enjoyable film. it also features an amazing single continuous shot that is a non stop action chase scene which was my favorite part of the film.
