Is this Tumblr hate new? I feel like it came out of nowhere,

I think it really picked up steam in 2013-2014. So common it now pops up in Youtube comments ("tumblr feminazis!"). I've never personally seen the supernatural/sherlock/dr. who stuff, and I know a few people on Tumblr who don't fit either stereotype of crazy fanfic writer nor radical feminist. Anyway, the unnecessary Tumblr shitting is on GAF too (see below). Search any thread where these came from or type "site:neogaf.com tumblr feminism" into Google for a lot more of these posts.

Call me crazy, but I think shitting on "Tumblr feminists" and "social justice warriors" is a new way for posters to complain about certain women and other people who dare speak up about anything -- without drawing the ire of mods by using phrases like feminazi or mewling cunt. Kinda like "thug" and "savage" being code words for young black men that fly under the radar.

There are "standard" feminists who just want equivalent rights between genders (and thus ironically pretty much share the same ideology to the more liberal MRAs) and there are "internet" feminists who whine on Tumblr how looking at a women without consent is rape or something.

The internet or tumblr feminist rhetoric are often hyperbole and generally polute these kinds of discussions.

It doesn't surprise me one bit that Tumblr feminists are trying to blame MRA's for this.

nobody on the internet understands feminism, not even feminists. Too many feminists think any attempt at mens rights means you hate women and want to put them into the kitchen, too many feminists think anything is a direct attack on them. I visit many feminist forums, lot of reasonable folk, but, too many extremists who think not supporting feminism makes you misogynistic.

On the other hand, MRAs are just as bad. Both make good points, but, would rather do "he said, she said", and force people to join their sides, it's never a middle. It's always "you're either with us, or you hate women or you hate men". I mean, my experience with both sides as been mostly negative. Want an example of feminism gone wrong? Go to tumblr. The social justice warriors on tumblr are rather insane and go berserk over anything.

Some of the stuff in Tumblr is pretty cringe inducing. At least some of the discussion going in here can actually enlighten some people or act as telling them 'hey, you're wrong about this and this is why'.

Whilst in the majority of tumblr it's pretty much "you have a penis? fucking die and rot in hell". :|

Honestly? I only use tumblr for porn and funny gifs, but I still recall seeing this post with like, 'all men are stupid fucks and they all should die' or something with 100k reblogs and likes. I'm not gonna use 'disturbing' or 'terrifying', but heck, that's just not nice and it would be hell if it was 'women' instead. So that's why I rarely take anything seriously from there.

Bonus, apparently not finding a transgender women (is this the right word?) attractive or not wanting to have sex with them is homophobic and mysoginist.
