The E3 '08 Sony Prediction and Discussion Thread

It's unbelievable how US gamers have to wait until teh 360 version is complete before we get to play FF13 on PS3, yet PS3 owners simply aren't getting Square Enix games such as Star Ocean 4 or will be treated to long delays. Simply ridiculous. Sony is turning into what Nintendo was during the N64 generation... Loss of third party support, and delay after delay for first party titles. What was the last major Sony first party title released? Uncharted? And that was what, last year? Where is Wipeout HD? Socom? Oh yeah, they've been delayed and we really don't know when Sony will release them.
 
After today's news about FFXIII coming to 360, I can only think of one thing that could somehow re-balance the whole situation:
Sony reinstates crazy-Ken!

Wow, Sony just lost the 3rd party. But I'm glad there are still great 1st party titles if not the best 1st party lineup for while, seriously I can't wait R2 and KZ2. But Sony need something do with RPG, I can tell RPG PS3 fans are thirst. Please server them some drinks if you got any more, 2 majors are not soon enough.
 
Sony has a way of putting up everything late. Sonystyle doesn't have anything yet but its all laptop to me. something most likely to do with apple killer. ;o

From what Das-J and others have been hinting at, Sony's press conference will be pretty epic as well. Tomorrow morning is going to be nuts.

Side note: Anyone know what time GTTV will air on Spike tonight? (posting from the cell, and browsing for TV times will be brutal).

They won't. Sony will show the R2/Killzone2/LBP/HOME trailers and oh the video store.
 
I wish I knew what Sony was going to do tomorrow. I cant get anyone at Sony to let me in on their plans. Todays announcement from SE was great for them but bad for MS and Sony. Sony will not get the potential sales that they were hoping for in the states and MS probably paid so much for this that they will never see a return.

And then Phil Harrison appears out of nowhere with a copy of Alone in the Dark in his hands, scaring the crap out of the audience who stampedes for the exit!

The xbox has far less to lose in exclusives because they didn't have nearly the amount the playstation had last gen. What could the xbox platform lost 3rd party like the playstation platform could've? Nearly all the major exclusives last gen were on the PS2. Of course Sony had more to lose, and especially with these devs kicking and screaming about high dev costs, there's only one way to recoup by going port happy. It's all going to boil down to First Party efforts this gen, just like I called it before this gen started. And if Sony didn't majorly bork their first year, they'd be in better shape because of their 1st party stables. But, they did.

You know I would love to hear something new that comes out this year, maybe even a new RPG from level 5 or something, but realistically they won't. Dude i want to believe.


oh God of War III, guess there is one thing to look forward to. Please announce a concrete date.
