The E3 '08 Sony Prediction and Discussion Thread

I don't know why I am posting in this thread but I am not sure MS is what Sony needs to worry about. Even an exclusive as big as FFXIII does not really make a big difference. I think this help Square Enix more than it helps Microsoft (other than from a PR standpoint).

There's no way localizations from SE would take as long as the process of porting a next-gen game. It's either moneyhat, or most likely, it just makes more financial sense to release both at the same time. So they are just stalling the localization. That's why it's disappointing that Sony couldn't even pony up the dough to get it earlier in the US

If this were their philosophy, you'd think they would do the same for The Last Remnant and other titles? ;p

You think they would wait to release both until the PS3 one was completed. :/ I don't know anymore

I tend to believe this has got to catch them by surprise though, only way i'll believe that this didn't come as a surprise to Sony is if they somehow manage to salvage their E3 with some huge announcement tomorrow. And no GoW3 is not a huge announcement, we all know that's coming eventually. It's got to be something totally out in left field like the FFXIII thing was today. If they knew it was coming there's no way i see Sony letting M$ totally steal the (HD gaming part) of the show simply by announcing a multiplat game.

Too bad that's a power sign that has nothing to do with the 360 except the fact that the 360 has a power button.

edit: I really think KH3 is coming out for the Wii. Is there any proof that it isn't? It seems better suited for that platform.

It's just not possible. KH team is helping out with FF13, and after that, they'd have to go back to vsXIII. FFVIIR is the only (VERY) DISTANTLY possible game. Maybe they've been working on it with a 2nd rate code monkey team (main SE team don't usually make remakes anyway) in secret. Regardless, unless whatever game comes out soon, there will be no quelling of port talks.
 
Why would he be booed? If he's actually there, it'd mean he would have soemthing to show. Not like they can show the same trailer again.
 
They have to bring the thunder and lightning tomorrow. I expect several megatons. If they don't even bring one, I will be let down... and probably buying a 360 for all their RPGs that my PS3 doesn't have now.

Yes, I agree with the first poster that the president of Square-Enix would be booed if he showed up at the Sony press conference. I also think people would throw tomatoes at him and maybe even run up on stage and teabag him.
 
I don't even play Final Fantasy nor have any interest in it, but even that took the wind out of my sales. :lol =/

Sony is done.
Prove me wrong please, and something of the 3rd party kind.
 
It looks like they're interleaving the video game stuff into that movie. Screw that. I'm watching Monday Night Raw instead!
