Quick question about horses, since I just bought one. Is it possible for some outlander to steal your horse in the wilderness as you are riding about? For example, I go into a dungeon off the main route and a bandit steals my horse while I'm inside. Is this possible?

Yeah sorry, it did sound catty on re-reading.

Run back out! A few of them come after you untransformed, beat their scrawny robe-wearing arses down like Tyson. Then strip them nekkid and leave them in a pile of intertangled limbs.

They weren't as much of a challenge as getting out of that place. One of the corridors I needed to take had glitched bigtime and was missing its floor, I had to jump a blue void to make progress. :p

This never would of happened if I fast traveled.

So I was escorting
Jauffre
(on horseback) and
Martin (walking)
to Burma.

It happened like this.

In the road is a patrol on horseback. Mind you my party is 3. Now there are 4 with the patrol.

A bear comes out of the woods and everyone attacks it except me, I'm just taking it all in.
Bear dies. I take the pelt :D
Officer gets back on his horse. The guy in my party who had the horse does not.
I start to ride again and I look back and sure enough the guy with the horse walks back calmly and remounts and everyone catches up.

Now we are around a bend where the patrol cannot see us.
There is a pig in the road. Boar actually. An unfriendly one.
I dismount to fight it becuase I'm sick of these animals attacking my horse and
Martin
helps out. The mounted guy dismounts and starts shouting / running for help from the patrol officer around the bend.
The two of us kill the pig but the officer rounds the bend in the road and I'm thinking too late jack as I'm standing there with my Dwarven axe out and full of blood. hehe
So what happens.
He says I'm fucking busted and the bounty reads 1. *1 WHAT I haven't done anything*
I guess in his eyes someone called for help and I 'm standing there with my axe out. BUSTED.

Yeah, but did you talk to him before you killed him? He's all "oh, I'm so sorry I treated you that way, I see now that you're uber l337 and I really did act like a jerk." And then you have to kill him anyway. :D

I'm stuck on the Azani Blackheart fighters guild quest

Oreyn and I killed everyone in the cave and got the ring/sword and whatnot. now he is just standing outside saying "we will talk later" blah blah. He's been doing this for weeks (in oblivion time) and just keeps walking around randomly throughout the province. Any suggestions on what I should do?

He doesn't give you new quests anyway. You have to go to Cheydinhal or Anvil for Fighter's Guild quests, so it's not much of an issue. He should show back up in the Chorrol Fighter's Guild after you do more quests.

If someone told me a week ago that I would pump 40 hours into a game, and then restart it for perhaps 'trivial' reasons I would have said they were CRAZY! In fact reading some posts here pre-launch about people doing that with Morrowind made me think 'well, why do that, stick with what you've got'.

Well, I restarted today, witha Dark Elf again but this time much more aesthetically pleasing and more importantly with a thought out custom class to match my wish to be combat / magic centric. And so here I am again, staring at the world again...and I love it. Just love it. And now my character feels right (for now) so I'm happy. Funny thing is I hadn't even started the main quest on my 40 hour game, and had just joined the Mages guild but that was about it. So I don't feel I've sacrificed anything but have gained all round. Great starting from scratch now that I know my way around the menus etc (although still not the map, I've only really semi-ecplored the Imperial City and the north).

I'm in constant awe at this game....I'm just astonished how something that feels so polished can be so big. Anyhoo...back to it.

Are you guys typically playing all the guild quests with the same character or different characters? For instance, I have a Blade/Heavy Weapons/Conjouring/Restoration guy that does great in the Fighters guild, Mage's Guild, and the Arena, but I just don't see how it's possible to do Theif's guild and Dark Brotherhood with no real sneak skills.

1. Build up your Illusion skill to level 50. It shouldn't be hard to do, just rent a room and cast a spell like Shining on yourself until you run out of Magika, sleep for an hour, then repeat. You can stay in the room as long as you want.

2. Join the dark brotherhood and buy the invisibility spell from the Khajiit in the santuary.

3. ????

4. Profit.

Easy way to build sneak that requires less intervention:
find a sleeping person, get behind them and sneak forward into a wall. jam thumbstick up (i just put controller on the floor upside down with thumbstick up) or use autowalk on PC. sneak will go up pretty quickly. i did this while watching an episode of 24 on tivo and got about 20 pts of sneak (and this is with a wireless controller that turned itself off and paused the game...so use wired)

there's another spot to do this - in the arena district there're 2 people fighting. sneak behind the barrels, and autosneak into them.

make sure you're naked when doing this to reduce chances of detection

also, join the dark brotherhood - you'll get
some nice light armor that'll fortify sneak 10%

also, do more quests to get constant effect chameleon's.

Not much advice I can give other than to beat his arse down. Dodge his lightning, get out of his line of sight to make him come to you and then beat the hell out of him.

GET MICROSOFT TO MAKE MORROWIND BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE.

omg nostalgia is killing me.

I
just closed the great gate. Once the main quest is done, I'm gonna branch out and do the guild lines.

Whoo just finished all the DB missions. Bit disappointing how it wrapped up.
Jumping from Speaker to Listener instantly, the night mother not being any of the random hags I've been killing around Cyro on the off chance it was her. The crazy dude and his mother's head was nice I guess, but seemed undeveloped. I'm tempted to go back and keep working for the guy, 500 gold a head is nice, although that fucking bum he gave the last drop to stole the gold.

Also if anyone knows:
Does the Chedynhall sanctuary act as an actual home after you get Listener? I'm not sure, but the old hag said it was my real home, and I'm desperate for a place to throw my junk without worrying about it. Oh yea, and boo @ not being able to bring all your murderers along with you and burn the white gold tower to the ground.

Anyone looking for
glow dust
for
Azura should go to Shadow's Rest Cavern, located in the Northwest (just northest of Chorrol I believe). Inside you'll find will-o'-the-wisps. They're insanely hard, but they drop glow dust.

Same here. After playing the game for 20+ hours and only being a Level 3 Warrior (ridiculous), I've decided to start over. I don't really want to re-do all of the quests that I've completed, but it's pretty obvious that my character is really going nowhere considering my style of play. I have no interest at all in beefing up blade/blunt/hand to hand/block/etc; I guess I should've thought this through first, huh? I'm almost a Journeyman in sneak, security, speechcraft, athletics and acrobatics, so creating a custom class with these as major skills would probably make sense. Now I just need to choose whether I want to be an Imperial or Wood Elf..

ok question. im in the middle of doing the fighters questline and have been visited by the dark brotherhood. if i join will it stop me from being able to join mages/thieves later on?

man, this oblivion gate is really pissing me off. i restarted the game cause i wanted to be a magic guy. anyways, im doing the first oblivion gate again (looking for martin, which i never beat in my other question). ok so i go to the top of the "large" tower. a door is locked. i go across the bridge, kick this guys ass and take the sigil keep key. the guy in the cage says "get to the top of the tower!" WHAT TOWER! the tower im in is the tallest tower i see! why can't they fucking mark "sigil keep" on the map. i have no clue where it's at.

Only issues with the games (some have solutions I think, but I just dont know what)

Being overcummbered. Is there something to allow me to hold more stuff?

Too dark at some points... some areas feel like they are dark, but would be stupid with a torch

Walking so god-damn slow... how come there is no sprint option?

My lack of money... I go into shops, see stuff for hundreds of gold... I have like 100 at any time, except after I looted the whores.

1) Buy a house. That will solve your problem.

2) Get a spell for starlight or nighteye.

3) Do quests and join a guild. Those will make you boatloads. Right now, I have 8k without much trying.

Oh my, but the game is sweet.

1024x768, Bloom, High Rez Textures, lots of grass and decent draw distance. Very smooth framerate both in and outdoors. But... why are the textures in the distance so freakin' ugly?!

And... whatever happened to the TES Construction Kit??

After 13 hours of messing around in Impreial Kingdom i ventured out into the forrest to pursue Jaffres quest. And god damn i was blown away by the beauty of this game. Game is LUSH!

Quite possibly the best scenery in a game. Ever! Everything feels so organic, no angular landscapes, everything has curves, bent and moulded by time. Beautiful game

i cant find ectoplasm :(

Go to one of the crypt like dungeons (characterized on the map with a clock looking icon) at night time. If undead usually hangs around there, there are bound to be ghosts there at night time. Those ghosts drop ectoplasm.

Look inside the chest in the adjacent room with the other mage.

Any of the circular icon dungeons. One of them is called Wendir. I'm pretty sure that one has ghosts. It should be near Chorrol.

Anyone get the house in Skingrad?

I was supposed to talk to the orc, but he somehow got himself killed. I took the skingrad castle key, but now what?!

bah, Idon't know what I did wrong in this game. I brought Martin back to Jauffre, and now they're both giving me dirty looks. Whenever I go near a guard I'm getting arrested, and then Jauffre attacks me.

WTF, crazy. I'm going to lose an hour of play at least by starting again from an old save.

There's a crate in the hallway just outside the pillar room that has scrolls to cover all your needs other than the frost destruction one (which you may need to go to a mage's quild to acquire).
